What 'cast of characters' are they talking about? I don't recall any of our players spitting on (within the last 5 years ) or pushing umps, instigating brawls or mouthing off to anyone who can hear them. So I ask again, what they heck do they mean by 'cast of characters?'

Can a reporter ever write a f***ing (pardon my phraseology) story without bringing up attendence?!

The only problem I have with the broadcasters calling out the umps on a bad call is that the team seems to get punished for this. I vaguely recall something a few seasons ago where Hawk called out an ump and either he or the team were fined and I seem to recall the umps being a little less than fair to the Sox for a little while after that as well.

That's kinda funny. They never looked at the liscence for the contractor for some construction that friends' of mine are doing (they are using the same contractor). Like they it's not what you know, it's who you know!

Permit issues are resolved with a check to the right person(s). The lot next to my house was zoned unbuildable for 50 years and the alderman claimed she would fight anything being put there. Well, all of a sudden (started about a month, or so, ago) they are now building houses on it. I would never buy one of those houses since they decided you can put a cement plug in to stop a creek that has been flowing for centurys. They will have flooding problems at some point I bet.

ESPN sucks for all the sports teams they incessantly show. In hockey it's always the dead things, in basketball...I have no idea, I hate basketball, baseball it's either Spankees, or the Red Sox and it seems like the main college football teams shown are the Hurricanes or the Gators, then agian they do show lots of college ball now...

I was at that one with my Mariner lovin' bf. Needless to say, that wasn't the best time I had at the park. Neither was our drive home - I couldn't see anything on the DR cuz of the stupid rain.

Do we have any other choice? But, to be honest, since his 4th or 5th win, I've had complete faith in him every time he's taken the mound. Now as for the team in the field behind him...

I just hope the Loaiza we all know and love shows up tomorrow to close up this series and homestand.

This team is such a disappointment today. From the sounds of the radio, there were some bad umping calls, but overall they seem flat.

I wonder why they did that. Now as a starter, we was never much, but he seemed like a decent relief pitcher the few times I've seen him pitch.

When did the Tigers trade Steve Sparks? Or am I thinking of a different Sparks?
