Something tell me it's not going to work for this guy.

I know the pain Tex. A few days before Christmas marks the 25th anniversary of my uncle's death. He was killed by a drunk driver. My dad said that he never wanted to find out what happened legally to the driver (the guy walked away with scratches and a bruise or two) because one, it wouldn't bring him back and two if killing someone didn't change the guy's ways, nothing would. He also said at the time in Ireland, the laws were different and he imagined not much probably happened. My uncle was to be married the next year.

I am grateful to him for taking the team to the finals 2 years ago, but he just doesn't have the stamina or talent for a full-time goalie. he would be great at platooning or backing up, but he just doesn't seem to have the stamina and the team doesn't have any scoring abilities to speak of either. They finally played a game they didn't lose last night, granted, the didn't win, but they didn't lose either.

Not surprised in the least. It probably happens quite often.

It must have been the McD's HQ. It would be really tough for someone at the printing co. to get away with it. My bf is a press operator and there are always security guards watching over something (paid for by the customer). He's printed blank credit cards, trading cards (they did a nascar trading card series and even the scrap/errors had to go to the customer) and lots of other cool things. Usually if it is nothing big (like posters for the Art Institute or wrapping paper) he gets to bring a bag/box of it home.

I've watched various things on HBO/Discovery with Dr. Baden. He kicks ass. I really get into the detective shows on Discovery/TLC/A&E. Cold case files is really cool in that it teaches you to think and to see little things that most would gloss right over.

Hell no, MSU will! Lol, as much as I like them (can't stand Smoker tho), I doubt they will, but I can dream!

You guys will have more to cheer for than I will. I am a Canes fan and until they can cut Irbe loose, they will have no real goalie. Weekes just doesn't have the stamina, nor talent to be a starter. He is a great backup, but a great backup doesn't necessarily make a good goalie. Also, they need to find some guys that can score, these guys couldn't score with a room full of whores and a C-note in their hands... At least I do cheer for the Senators as well - I will have something during the regular season to smile about...now if they can get this 'choke in the playoff' thing under control...

I'm a chick and to avoid tits I set my signature viewing setting to 'no.' Problem solved for me and the guys here get their porn fix for the minute.

We have a Commodore 64 and a huge box of games in our basement. I have no idea if it is still operational or not (he says it is), but it hasn't been gassed up in at least 5 years (before he moved into the house). I might have something to keep me occupied in the up coming cold months... :banghead (me trying to make something work that I've never used before)

LMAO! Ditto for me - that - Atari 2600 - was the first (and only) 'expensive' toy my mom and dad bought the three of us. I love the old atari games. I have the ROMs and I got a hold of the anniversary edition (I almost bought the Playstation version, but changed my mind at the last minute) for the computer.

It isn't a real holiday to me - if my happy ass has to be at work (which it is at this moment), it isn't a holiday!

Ditto. My prayers are out to you, your grandmother and your family. I know the pain, I lost my gramma earlier this year from complications (congestive heart failure) after a stroke.

Interesting...most of it doesn't surprise me, that it was said or that it might be true to be honest. FT and JM never seemed to get along so JM's comments about FT are not surprising at all. I would be surprised to see Maggs and Konerko in a White Sox jersey next year - season tickets sold will be low and it the cubs make it any further, the season tickets sold will be almost non-existant so we will hear the "We can't afford a team cuz no one shows up" excuse again. I really wish JR would sell to someone who really wants to win instead of worrying about the lining of their pockets.

I wanted to take my mom as they are one of her favorites. She refused to let me spend that kind of money on them and said if I bought the tickets, she wouldn't go. I love their music myself, but I don't I could have afforded them anyways. Back to the CDs!

That's what drives me nuts - 'You should cheer for the Cubs because they are a Chicago team." I am staying with my bf's mom and sister for a few weeks while work is done on our house and they are cheering for the cubs because they are a 'chicago team.' I live in Mt Greenwood and I am being told to cheer for the cubs because they are a chicago team - give me a break and GO FISH!!!!! It sucks at work too because I am in Rolling Meadows and everyone is a Cubs fan - it's amazying listening to some of the conversations..the scores are wrong, they theories are wacked out...it does provide a few good laughs tho!

That scene in 'Meaning of Life' was absolutely hysterical!

Hopefully they win tonight to make it difficult on the Cubs. CWSOX45 I hope the Marlins win tonight because if they show they can beat Prior, the Cubs might go into panic mode.

They didn't ignore it. They gushed on and on (until I threw up all over the damn place - I am sending those putzes the cleaning bill) about how it just couldn't be a cub fan that did it, it had to be a Florida fan.

I'll be 27 in about a month.
