What does reality have to do with video games? I play video games to excape reality. I really don't think playing Simpson's Road Rage is the same as driving down the Tri-State, that's what makes the game fun - escape from reality and a little release of pressure.

I've watched my bf play 3 and I bought him Vice City (and I've played Vice City). Granted we are a bit older than a 16 year old (I'll be 27 shortly and he's 31), but what is with this country and not tkaing responsibility for your actions? Why not sue the parents for letting the kid have the game once it is bought? My brother has been a gamer for years now (he's 22) and as far as I know he never killed anyone or threw a tackle or a bodycheck on someone walking down the street.

When I saw him here, I, too, knew it was a matter of time before he crossed the line.

I have to admit that I have mixed feelings on this one. Earlier this year my family had to make the decision to remove life supports from my grandmother. For her, it was the breathing apparatus rather than the feeding tube. I understand where the husband is coming from, but I don't think I could starve my spouse to death...not sure I could at all. But if my spouse made specific statements about what to do in this situation, I would feel that I have to carry out those wishes. What do you guys think about the government's involvement on behalf of her parents? Who do you think should be responsible for the decision - her husband or her parents?

Becareful around a girl like that. I know someone who dated a girl exactly as you describe and it turned out she was banging everyone but him. Just be cautious.

Anything Queen is fine by me! "Who wants to live forever? Who wants to love forever?"

LMAO!

20 years is nothing comparing to the one I heard on the radio this morning. Hef is getting serious (although I am not sure what his definition of serious is) with a 23 year old. There's 50 years difference there.

I hope that is true in mine and my bf's case. Because of odd ball working hours, rebuilding a house and family obligations, the most we do is go to another state for a hockey game or to look at a muscle car.

Arguments starting in a harmless thread has been happening alot around here lately.

You'd marry her in a heartbeat my friend. And you'd be divorced in two...

"The Living Years" always chokes me up. He always said that he could relate to it which confuses me. I can't being myself to ask why since they had a good relationship considering the distance (my grandda lived in Ireland). I wasn't sure if my dad thought he let his dad down by leaving (my grandda wanted my dad to stay and handle the family farm) or the guilt that my dad carried with him over his brother's death (my dad had nothing to do with it, but blamed himself for it for quite some time after the accident).
-
Damn you're good! That's it.

My dad always liked that Mike and the Mechanics song about getting once last chance to say something to his dad...(my mind is drawing blanks on songs for some reason today).

Once a slut always a slut.

Majority of the women that appear on those shows are stupid or golddiggers or a combination of the two. As for the guy, he isn't attractive at all, in my opinion. This version has no appeal for me so more than likely, I won't waste my time watching it.

Alan Alda also had emergenct surgery yesterday - apendectomy (sp?). Wish 'em both the best. (Especially Robert DeNiro - whatta hottie!!!!!! )

Eleanor Rigby. Classic from Revolver. That's it! Thanks - it would have driven me nuts all day trying to think of the lyric with her name in it (I knew the title was a name)! THANKS!
-
There's a Beatles song that I know some of the lyrics to, but I am not sure of the title. "...She keeps her face in a jar by the door..." "...She collects the rice after a wedding..." "...were are all the lonely people..." I might have screwed the lyrics I know up a bit, but it was something like that. That's always been one of my favorites for sad songs. That and the Righteous Brothers "You've lost that lovin' feeling."

I was just thinking the same thing myself...

At least the Hawks have a couple wins. My team (Hurricanes) hasn't done better than a tie. That's what happens when you have no one that can score and a goalie that can't stop the puck.

well I dont see many females around here so I figured I would ask. Just 3 of us. Hope I'm included in that three!

I am going through withdrawl as my house is being added on to and remodeled meaning I am currently living elsewhere and can't decorate. Does anyone here (or their parents) decorate for Halloween? If so, what are your favorite decorations? My usual decorations are candles, anything Grim Reaper and a few window stickies. I occasionally use some of that fake web, but it is a pain in the ass to clean up. Have any of you seen any houses that are well decorated? If so, please post pictures if possible.

Yup, always the Saturday/Sunday before Halloween - I always hated that as a kid - I wanted more time for trick or treating!!

It's unbelieveable that this building had no sprinkler systems above ground level. I don't care if the building was built before 1975; if it is a commercial building, especially a high rise, sprinklers are a must. Also, if the cleaning company that was hired hires mostly immigrants, either they need to make sure the company gives them instructions in the crew's language or make sure there is some method of communication available in case of emergencies. My dad works about 2 blocks from there as a janitor who is in charge of a cleaning crew. He is from Ireland and majority of his cleaning crew are women from Poland, but have some understanding of the English language. My prayers go out to the famiilies of all the victims of this fire. As a side note, does the fact that the fire started in the DMV records floor seem suspicious to anyone else besides me? I know we have to wait for answers to come from the investigation, but I was just curious if anyone else thought this was a little odd to say the least.
