I am going to talk to him first, but I think I need to do this for my own sanity. When my bf and some member of his family fight, they b**** about it to me and expect me to do something about it. He's a grown man, he makes his own decisions and reaps the consequences.

I just received a phone call at work that things came to a head at home between my bf and his dad. It was so bad the cops were almost called. I really don't know what happened, but I saw something like this coming a long time ago. This whole remodeling/adding on thing has gotten completely out fo control. The contractor didn't like the original loan we got (through LaSalle) so we decided we were going to sell the house and move, screw remodeling. Somehow between screw this and getting a different house, his dad took an equity loan against the Wisconsin house he has. Well, this stupid construction started 4-5 months late and is nearing the end and so is the money. Since the loan was in his dad's name, he had control of the money (didn't like this from the start, but since my name isn't on either loan, I really have no say in it). From what I can make out of the conversation with his mom (she called me at work about a half hr ago to tell me about this), apparently something isn't making sense with the numbers his dad is telling him (he called his dad a theif) and also there was destruction of personal property by the laborers who went to a part of the house that was off limits (close to $1000 of damage). Also insinuated on the phone was that he and I shouldn't be together (she thinks he is stringing me along and also that he is dangerous - in 2.75 yrs, he has never laid a hand on me and when he does yell, 10 minutes later he is begging my forgiveness (fights do not happen all that often either)). What she doesn't know is that he has supposedly put money down on an engagement ring (my birthday is next Friday and he keeps dropping hints about it - I am not holding my breath, but we will see). I think I am going to see if I can stay with my aunt or something (my mom already offered to help if needed) instead of staying with his sister for the remainder of this construction. That's the only way I can see myself not being put in the middle anymore.

I've seen specials on the Bible Code, but I didn't get to see the one on the DaVinci code. I'll have to pick up the books mentioned to form an opinion on the subject.

There is one reason I don't understand how this could be true (please understand that I am not saying that I don't believe it is true, I just don't understand how it is true). The baby is induced breech (sp?) to perform this operation. My sister's baby was in breech and the doctor performed an emrgency 'C' because he said (and this is directly from the doctor) that breech positions jeopardize the mother's life and thusly if he can avoid having one of his patients give birth this way, he will.

It shocked the heck out of me when I heard it on the drive in today. I love the righteous brothers - grew up listening to them (my mom always had the oldies station on when I was a kid). I'll have to go and dig out my Righteous Brothers CD. RIP Bobby!

I am a freshman and Cubssuck1 is a freshman and people call me Ross or RossMeister. in high school? Yes, DGS is a high school - a friend's son is a sophmore there and his daughter graduated a couple years ago.

I also think it is time for this team to be a team and not a group of individuals worrying about what one individual is going to think.

You know, this is why I love this site. You can say 'it's time for Thomas to move on' and not get called an idiot or a baseball moron. In any sense, if Thomas can't see past himself and his issues with Ozzie to see the prize, it is time for him to move on. More now than ever we need this team to work as a team and not a group of individuals.

That would be the first time Thomas would be a leader. If he did start that crap, trade his ass asap. This is something between the two of them and should stay there. If they can't work it out, one of them has to leave for the good of the team.

I don't want to be hated. If at all possible, I'd like to retain the minimal chance of being friends. Ignoring her won't accomplish that. Not completely ingoring. It's called "intermitent reward". It's science. If a monkey learns that he can press a button and get a bannana, he'll press the button like crazy at first. But when he learns that a banana is coming every time he pushes the button, He only pushes it when he wants a banana. Conversly, if a monkey pushes a different button and sporadically get a reward, at undeterminable intervals, he will continually press the button. So you are asking yourself how does this apply to me. The girl is the monkey. You are the button. When she pushes you, be unpredictable. This is the difficult part. Sometimes you have to act like you really wanna see her, other times like you are just too busy for her. She'll keep at it. You'll remain friends, maybe more. Make sure you always have the upper hand and you won't need to get rid of her. Before you know it you'll have a bunch of monkeys asking for your banana. I pity any woman that dates you.

Coming from a woman's point of view. Be honest. And as soon as possible. Dragging things out never makes it better. If it's only been about a month it shouldn't be too bad, but keep in mind that polite doesn't mean easy from her point of view. If she is a rational person, she will probably be upset, but if it's only a month, the upset shouldn't last all that long.

Damn. I've been producing for 2+ years and now he is just getting around to forking over the ice. That's what I was doing wrong.

There's one in Brian's brother's basement, but he isn't looking to get rid of it yet.

And Weekes the last few games the Canes played (although only 2 goals given up on Sunday wasn't bad). What the hell happened on Saturday when the teams were coming back down the ice towards him and they throw a shot he should have easily had goes in for the go ahead (and winning) score? The Canes are really killing me this year. Oh well, not giving up now!
