I hope they don't enforce it on the expressways that go through Chicago since at rush hour all lanes are filled and still going nowhere. Do they really think people are going to leave an entire lane empty and double the time it takes them to get home?! :fyou Gov. This guy hasn't been in office for that long and I can't stand him.

My bf and I went Saturday and that movie rocked! It seems like slasher movies are making their way back, Jeepers Creepers 2 (did I get that name right?) and Texas Chainsaw Massacre are coming out soon. I couldn't believe how many kids under the age of 12 that were in the theatre. Parents need to learn that just because kids can be in there (with them) doesn't mean they should be. If the parents want to see it and can't get a babysitter, wait until you can or wait until it comes out for rental. Bringing kids to a movie like that is irresponsible. Then again, I'm not a parent, only an aunt and godmother twice over, what do I know?

I hope your not a Blackhawks fan, if you are stay away from sharp objects, and bridges. Good God no!!!!!!!!!!!!! I follow minor league hockey more than the NHL, but in the NHL I follow the Hurricanes (yes I know worst in the NHL last year, but they did make the finals the year before) and the Senators (they seem to be the Mariners of hockey - really good during the regular season, but not as great in the playoffs).

I need some demoing done next week on my house (we are doing a couple additions and some remodeling), maybe he can come over and I can have the contract accidentally/on purpose hold him hostage as a construction/destruction employee untill after the baseball season... Manual :dips***

Why is it that when the sox are involved in a "historic" night, they are always on the wrong side of historic?

How did he do in the minors? I seem to remember him doing well in spring training.

Between terrible umps and the lack of distribution of talent through out the league, I am surprised that there haven't been a few teams that have gone bankrupt or have had to fold because they were dangerously close to bankruptcy. Most of the stadiums the Sox have been to have been only about 1/3 full at best.

I think shortstop is one of many problems this team will have next year. Baseball has never made me as depressed as it has this year...

Is the ump that bad or are the guys just over tired? I tend to disagree with umps so I don't trust my own judgement on this.

I don't know if I can watch much more of this game. I am so sick of the Sox making crap pitchers look like Cy Young. Hopefully they'll catch on the second time through the lineup. Ugh.

Lately I have been reading alot of posts about whether this team has heart or not. Personally, I think they have plenty of that particular commodity. I think they lack in the balls and brains department myself. Which one (or is it all of the above) do you think tbey lack?

I'm in Rolling Meadows and we were hailed twice. (I am afraid to see my car when I leave in a few). Apparentlt the second wave is just hitting my house. It was amazing watching the roof drain pipe across the parking lot - it looked like a fire hydrant.

I have never and will never go near drugs or cigarettes. Both my parents smoked while I was growing up and I find it to be absolutely disgusting. As for alcohol...I come from a long line of alcoholics on my dad's side (he and his brother are dry now, but that was after a long time of drinking). I know when I drink, I drink to get drunk so I only allow myself a drink every now and then (maybe once or twice a year). I have such an intolerance to alcohol now that after one glass of wine I am buzzing. My bf was quite the drinker from the age of 17 to about 22. When he turned 22 he looked at what losers he and his friends were, stopped feeling sorry for himself and stopped drinking (while he held 2-3 jobs at the same time at that time. The big drinking story I heard about him was that at his brother's bachelor's party (my bf was 17) he almost died from chugging a fifth of Jack (he slept 3 days straight, and should have been in the hospital, why he wasn't, I really don't know, but I think the shame his parents felt might have attributed to him being kept at home). To be honest, I am curious if he got some from the strippers that were there - my bf says he can't even remember if there were strippers (from what his brother said, there were 2), but his brother said that my bf was the wild one at that party. Too bad my bf can't remember any of it. But, he's been at enough of those parties in the last ten years plus two big ones coming up (and hopefully his own within the next year to year and a half), he'll have plenty of stripper stories. I get a kick out of bring up Jack or showing him a bottle of it at the store because he turns this lovely shade of green and gets the dry heaves. The most he drinks now is 0.5 to 1 bottle of Bud at a wedding or a party. His hard liquor choice is vodka :puke .

Most of them that say that don't have kids, or in this case specifically little girls - that seems to change the thought process more than anything. It's amazing how the attitude changes when they do and especially when they have girls. A friend of mine had their first one in March and as soon as she was born the daddy, who used to be a major prick towards women changed his tune and stopped talking to several friends who were at least 10x worse than him. One way or another I hope all parties in this case and pick up the pieces and live their lives to the fullest.

That really sucks. I had a car stolen (a guy that was pissed because I wouldn't date him), it was a car I inherited after my grandfather passed away. I was more angry because of the emotional connection to it (memories of grampa driving me around when I was little and such like that) then that the car itself was gone. The only thing that hurt more was when it was found, it was chopped up so badly. The guys at the pound didn't even want me to go back there, much less by myself. But I did and I got the plates anyways - my dad still has them up in his toolroom. He said he'd hold on to them until I have someplace to put them - now that I have a house and a huge garage...okay, the garage is more for my bf than me, but he'd hang them up in there with his without hesitation. cwsox - I hope things work out for you and I am glad that you, nor anyone else was injured or worse.

And people wonder why women rarely come forward anymore or refuse to press charges after being raped. To give out this girl's email and home info is absolutely ridiculous. To be honest, if Kobe did commit rape, he will never be found guilty. He has fame, money and because of those two, he probably has people in the right places. I filed charges against an ex-bf that was stalking me. Both times the CPD came out and arrested this guy and inspite of the fact the cops caught him red handed being where he shouldn't, doing things he shouldn't with several witnesses around, the proseutor refused to press charges and told me to get a restraining order. I went to get that, put in 6 hours filling stuff out, talking to people and they said I would have it after lunch. I went back to find out what needs to be done to complete work for the order and they said no I wasn't receiving one and that now I have to wait until he physically assaults me again (their exact words). He did follow me for at least a year that I know of after that (several friends saw him, I saw him and voicemails were disappearing, I changed the pin after that). You ask why the charges and etc did not go through? His father was (at the time he was still on the job) a captain in the CFD. Before someone says that doesn't matter, my current bf's (been dating him for 2+ years and most likely will be my fiancee by year end) dad is a retired CFD LT. and his dad and my bf knows guys who got out of stuff because their dad was in the CFD. So to make a long story short, if you have lots of money, lots of fame or if you know people in the right places, you can get away with anything.

More than Manuel being ousted, I really think JR needs to give up his share of the team. He's pushed away many fans and run this franchise into the ground. It's time to hear him say, "I've sold the team." If it really seemed like he was trying to better the franchise, I think (I stress the word 'think') I could deal with him being owner, but he has gone well out of his way to destroy this franchise and it is time for him to move on to something else.

I have been and will be a fan of Konerko. While I am fed up with this 'slump,' and the rest of the team, you gotta have something cheer for and hope for inspite of common sense.
