I just got into work and saw that they started the game at 10PM (or so). Why the hell didn't they just schedule a double-header for either Saturday or Sunday? Sorry if this was previously discussed, but if it was I missed it.

The only other BP pitcher I can think of is Parque - is he still with TB or whatever team he signed with this season?

This team sucks ass. I am beyond fed up with their passionless playing and inability to do the simplest of things such as a bunt. f*** them. I think the team needs to pull their heads' from their asses. You can only blame the coach for so long. While I agree that I hoped the change would do the team good, when two coaches with different approaches can't change anything, you have to look at the players.

Yeah, we've played him many times and generally kick his ass out of the game by the third. There is only one game that I can think of where we didn't chase him out. If we can't hit Cornholio, we can't hit anyone.

That disappoints me a great deal to read that, but after being shuffled back and forth in his first two years and never getting a chance, I can kind of understand why he might not want to, but if it gives him a chance to get his swing back, why not? He has hip displexia, or something that sounds like that. It was diagnosed while he was a catcher in the Dodgers organization.

He has said in several places (Sporting News Weekly, an article I read on yahoo) that he plans on retiring after this year to be with his kids. Of course that could change really quickly.

The elder Bonds has at least one form of cancer, I can't remember which kind, but I thought I remembered reading that a second form developed, but I could be wrong. From what I have read via yahoo and other sources, his dad isn't doing too well at all. The guy is relatively young too (in his early to mid 50's I believe).

Actually that is correct. That (an object that is black will absorb more heat than a white object) is basic thermal dynamics. Now with people, a big factor in regards to heat sickness is hydration. If your body is getting enough fluids, it will take longer for heat sickness to take effect.

I am amazed that any gm will deal with him after that book. I will admit that I never read it, but from everything I have heard about it, it would be really dangerous for any gm to deal with him because there is a good chance that the other gm will not win in the deal or will get screwed seriously. If I were him, I would have waited to write the book until after being a gm.

That guy is a putz. I get sick to my stomach whenever I read his stuff. His obession with the Scrubbies doesn't help either.

I live in the city but work in the NW burbs. Getting to Comiskey by 7PM requires me to leave work an hour early. According to yahoo, attendance was 19555. I thought there were more than that there, but then again I am terrible at guestimation.

Whether the players like Carl personally or not is a non-issue. Have any of them been on the same team with him besides possiby Daubach? I hope they can bring him into the clubhouse and let him catch the playoff berth searching fever I hope they all are catching at this time.

I agree Spiff. I was listening to sports radio on my way home from work today and they were talking about Everett at that time and said that very few players ever had a problem with him, it was mostly a media not liking him at all issue, something about religious beleifs and such. I didn't catch all of it - the tri-state had a good deal of my attention at the time.

Why does Manual insist on letting relievers give up the lead before pulling them??? I am not referring to Koch, I am referring to letting Gordon load the bags and then pull him. That MFer always waits to DAMN long to pull the pitcher. When will that prick lose his job?!?!?!?!
