Not at all. the only thing I distinctly remember is the disorientation while in flight (it was a short flight, but a flight none the less) and within seconds after impact looking up at the bumper of a parked car that was inches from my head and thinking how grateful I was that I landed where I did and not a few inches further.

You say that now.......just wait till ya taste some tube-steak somthered in underwear.......you'll change your tune. LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is very much democratic, but the amount of cubs jerseys I have seen has really shocked me. I didn't think there were any cubs fans there, but in the last two years I've seen more cubs jerseys than I can stand to tell the truth. I cured my bf of that disease (haven't managed to turn him into a sox fan yet, but I have gotten him to like several of the players), and let me tell ya, it wasn't easy. All of his friends that I know can't stand the sox. Some of them are cubs fans and some of them like teams from other cities, but I have yet to meet that many Sox fans.

There was no damage to the bone. When I was 18 and my insurance was about to be severed, I went to the doc and he did some x-rays and found the thing with the long name that I can't remember. A few years later when I was going through a physical for something or another, the doctor said that an x-ray was probably pointless, that they should have done an MRI and that would have caught the soft tissue damage early enough to curb it from developing the arthritus (from what I could understand the cartillage deteriorated from the injuries and the two leg bones that bend in the knee have been grinding against each other causing the arthritus to develop).

0-16 Chicago - Across the street from St. Rita's on Fairfield 16-23 Chicago - St. Nick's of Tolentine's parish near 63rd and Lawndale 23-25 Woodridge, IL 25-current Chicago - Mt. Greenwood - it amazes me how annoying some of these people are - too many Cubs/Packers fans. I never used to mind Packers fans until I started dating one...

yeah, it was a late 80's early 90s "little" car from what I can remember (something like the hyundai excel, mercury tracer and chevy had something similar). I didn't tell them because at the moment I was hit my younger sister was under the knife and I didn't want to distract them, their thoughts or prayers, I figured she needed them more and my mom didn't need anymore worries. They were re-attaching her growth plate to her hip. It was one of those surgeries that if it didn't take, her leg would always be the size of a ten year old's. She recovered to about 95% and recently had the bolt removed. It turned out the doctor left it in a few years too long - don't ask, you don't want to know - and now her leg is 1/4 inch shorter than the other one. She has periodic back pain, but wears a lift in her shoe and that alieviates some of the pain.

Yeah I can agree cwsox, getting hit by a car sucks something fierce. I am still suffering effects from being hit by a car when I was 14. I refused to go to the hospital and didn't tell my parents. Stupidest thing I ever didn't do. I now have arthritus in both knees (and I am only 26) and some other disorder with a really long name in the one that took the direct hit. the doctors have said that sooner or later I am looking at a knee replacement in my right knee definitely (they are trying to put it off for as long as possible) and a possibility of a replacement in my left knee at some point in the hopefully distant future. There are days when the pain and swelling get so bad that walking is near impossible. That sucks for anyone, and especially someone that was a long distance runner in high school...(I was planning on running in college and the doctor said No No No!)

Very accurate. I just hope the Senators and the Canes make it through. One or both will probably fold or move though.

yeah he is chisoxfan. the women that went on that show are gold digging sluts too, so I guess they were made for each other...
-
most of the guys I know that work construction (and most of them end up laid off for the winter season) make more than that, that's the only reason I said that he must suck at it...
-
He must suck as a construction worker because I have never heard of one making so little.

Hey cubkilla- I read that article too - that's something else. The weird part is that it can't be lightning as we know it - they were well above where lightning as we know it happens. I am really curious to know what that purple streak was and whether they will release photos of it.
-
BTW - I don't think they can make one big tile (it would have to be very flexible), but I do think they need to look at a method other than tiling. Like I read in an article - we have gloves that protect hands upto something like 2000 degrees, can't we make something more flexible than ceramic tiles?

I am just curious why it caused The Columbia to go down and not The Atlantis. This fall, the same thing happened on The Altantis's (not sure how to type that) launch - a piece of foam broke off and hit the shuttle. I am guessing that it hit a less vital area, but we will find out soon enough.

A great game that year that epitomized what the team could be when healthy was the game in September versus the Angels. The Sox were down 8-2 in the eighth and came back to win it - I was there and it was one hell of a time!

I saw the Lord of The Rings II and it was awesome - so much better than the first one (I fell asleep half way through the first one when we rented it). We plan on seeing Gangs of New York, but just not sure when - saw the documentary on it and it looks like it'll be a great flick.

I adored Cal when he was here - he has so much heart and determination. I wish we had more guys like that on the team. All the best to him and when he decides to go into coaching, I hope to see him in the Sox organization.

You wouldn't see many more Hawks games if you were in Chicago. That's a big part of the reason I hate the Hawks. There were never any hockey games on when I was a kid and therefore never developed any kind of fanship for them or passion about hockey. A started watching hockey a few years ago and I love it!!!! Especially minor league hockey! GO Wolves GO Cyclones and my NHL favorite GO HURRICANES (yes I know they have been sucking as of late - as much as I love the little guy in the net, it's time for him to retire and Weekes better get healthy quick!)!!!!!

The guy is a horse's ass. Al Gore did a pretty funny version of Lott on SNL last night.

LMAO! The Beavis and Butthead Christmas was hysterical. Add that one to my list.

I agree about the egomaniacs baggio. I still read and occasionally post, but the nasty attitude the moderators take with any of the newer posters (and some of the older ones) are really getting on my nerves. Like the way the have been picking on jeremy1 (I think that is his name) - he just gets there and they start ripping on him for his typing skills. I am also sick of the over the top political correctness that runs rampant there. Let people have opinions and if you disagree make an argument against it, don't just say, "You're an idiot." It gets old after awhile. One of the bigger things that are getting on my nerves about that board is how the main core seems out to rip on PK every chance they get. That has gotten old after awhile as well. Thanks for letting me get that off my chest.

I have tons of Christmas favorites.. Any version of "A Christmas Carol" The Original "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" "The Santa Clause" "The Santa Clause 2" "A Raisin's Christmas" (Haven't seen this one in about 10 years or so - not since the California Raisins were selling raisins) "It's A Wonderful Life" "A Charlie Brown Christmas" "Garfield Christmas Special" (can't remember if there is a particular name to this or not) "Holiday Inn" And there are probably more that I am missing...

The relocation in Ohio is in Columbus. I just drove to Cincinnati over the weekend for a hockey game and that is enough Ohio for me. Thanks for all the suggestions. I've had my resume on Monster.com, careerbuilder.com (or .net, whatever the heck it is) and hotjobs for about 3 months now and have had very little in the way of bites. Guess all I can do is keep trying.

Chicago - southside. My boyfriend and I live together and he's got a great job, so I couldn't ask him walk away from it. There really is no reason for me to relocate.

I was just notified that I have a choice of moving to Ohio or looking for another job. :eek I've been looking at sites online for jobs and I was wondering if anyone here knows of a site that is dedicated to listing engineering jobs.
