Probably means he has blurry vision and can't see. Also probably means the Royals are stupid and put their players on the DL for blurred vision. Does it actually take 15 days to get rid of blurred vision?

Guess who leads the league in quality starts?
witesoxfan replied to maggsmaggs's topic in Pale Hose Talk
You are right. It was an FYI. I was not in any way trying to hurt any argument. As another FYI...Buehrle had 7 strikeouts today in 6 2/3 innings. I guarantee you that you won't see him strike out 9+ per 9 very often. -
What the f***, we agree on most topics. Why don't you go on telling people "I told you so" about Milton Bradley and Antoine Walker and such.

Ben Sheets sets Brewer strike out record
witesoxfan replied to BrandoFan's topic in Alex’s Olde Tyme Sports Pub
Why overpay for Sheets who is still young and can be inconsistent(even though he could be like a Josh Beckett and lead us to a WS winner) when we can get Livan Hernandez from Montreal for 2 fringe prospects at the deadline? Livan has been there and knows what it takes to win. Or maybe we can just get both -
:finger I like Jhonny Peralta more anyways

Are you sure we haven't seen Lee before? I could have sworn we saw him last year(and he pitched well against us). And we had seen Silva before. When he was with the Phils in 2002, we saw him in interleague play. The Twins did well in that trade. Silva can throw the s*** out of the ball, and I already can tell when he is on, he is nasty as hell. He and Carlos Zambrano seem like they have very similar stuff, and Zambrano is as close to unhittable when he is on as anybody in the league

First of all, Loaiza led the league in strike outs last year. Just an FYI Secondly, I am not sure people think our rotation sucks. They just don't consider our rotation a top 3 or top 5 rotation in the league, and I can understand that. Finally, I would say do not give all the credit to the pitchers. Sure they are good, but give some credit to the catchers for calling good games. Olivo and Alomar have been very good in that regard the past two years. And give some credit to Don Cooper. I'm sure he's had something to do with their success. -
I saw Carlos Lee go the other way with a ball today. That alone shocked the s*** out of me. To be quite honest, I think the only player that looked like complete s*** at the plate today was Frank. What in the hell was wrong with him today?

ZERO. Just goes to show how overrated errors really are

silva, toughest of the three starters this series??
witesoxfan replied to qwerty's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Damn right. He didn't know what hit him -
Looked there to me. Big strike zone today.

You got your fly ball all right! YESSSS!

Hey guys, it has just been reported that Joe Crede's home run ball has finally landed. Man did he hit the s*** out of that. Hang em and bang em.

While Delgado doesn't have steroids(or atleast not that I know of), he does have a good eye at the plate, and has put up some sick numbers in years past. I feel that if we could get our hands on Delgado, and we had the choice of resigning one of him and Maggs, I would resign Delgado, simply because he can flat out rake. Gives you about 35-40 homers a year, has a very good eye at the plate, and is a very good LH power hitter, which is definately something that we need. I'd love to have Delgado.

It's your opinion and all this, but really, Shingo has been our best righty out of the pen by far. Since his welcoming to America in his first game against the Yankees(when he gave up that 2-run homer to Bubba Crosby), he has allowed exactly 1 ER. He's been sick and is damn near unhittable when he's right.
-
So why do we have people on here wanting to resign Maggs?
-
Mientkiewicz. But I'm good with names like that. Grudzielanek. See?
-
It's about damn time Ozzie found out Willie can play CF. I wanted Willie in CF, Uribe at 2B, and Valentin at SS for how long now? Get Lee out of here for a decent reliever and get Reed in LF, and we have a damn good looking offense.
-
I don't get it. But I like it
-
Don't tell me how you hit, tell me when you hit it. How many times does Hawk say that a year, and how many years has he been a commentator for the Sox? And I also wondered the same thing at a time. It is not lifetime as in your living lifetime...it is like forever and forever lifetime until they take off the ban.

well one positive thing about this loss schoe
witesoxfan replied to qwerty's topic in Pale Hose Talk
You know what I like about Jacque Jones? He will not be playing in tomorrow's game. He can't hit Buehrle, so Gardenhire apparently would just rather sit him then have his struggles against Mark continue. -
Well this thread's a little better then Diaz sucks also. I say KW should just go get us Delgado, and then we'll be fine.

So far the Twins have yet to play a team above 500
witesoxfan replied to maggsmaggs's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I agree very much so. I've been preaching it for a few weeks. And during that time, I've wanted Harris moved to CF, Rowand to LF, and I just assumed it would work out that one of them would stink and they'd be benched/sent down/traded and Reed would be called up. Well Rowand has done that without moving Lee. It is definately time to trade Lee and demote Rowand, and time to get a glimpse of the future. Put Willie in CF, Uribe at 2B, Jose at SS, and Reed in LF, and we are looking good for atleast a little bit. -
I wouldn't go as far as saying I'd give anyone for Mientkiewicz, but if Minny really wanted to, I would love a Lee or Konerko trade for Mientkiewicz straight up( ). Mientkiewicz is the same type of player Pierzynski is without being a complete and utter asshole at times(Mientkiewicz can be a dick, but it's all in fun...Pierzynski, from what I can tell, can just be an asshole, and it's not all in fun). I personally believe Mientkiewicz is one of the most underrated players in the game. He draws walks, he makes contact, he hits .300, and in the right situation, could probably hit 20 homers too(the ball he hit tonight could very well have been gone on a warmer night), and his defense is top 3 in the majors IMO(he, Olerud, and Snow are the top 3 in the majors). He is one of the reasons the Twins do in fact keep on winning. We need a player like Dougie M. We may already have on in AAA, but regardless, we need one nonetheless.

Neither. We need some addition by subtraction...get Lee or Konerko out of here.
