  1. Frank just needs to keep hitting like he has been hitting. And we need Maggs to stay healthy. They do that and we are a-OK. Jose will deal with the 97 MPH fastballs from Schilling.
  2. It's an ugly disease, but probably not the ugliest. I'd say ALS is. That's too bad. I remember he knocked the Twinks around a little last year with the Tigers. I wish him the best of luck in coping with the disease.
  3. Kinda what I was thinking
  4. You know what else will be really helpful for tomorrow? Me being there.
  5. No s***. They can hit without Maggs in the lineup and without Frank in the lineup. This is sweet
  6. Someone's gotta draw the walks when Frank is not playing. May as well be the one getting all the hits.
  7. He was the man of the TWINS. Not the GIANTS. Guess what team he is on now? Stay away from Pierzynski, especially when that money and the prospects can be spent better elsewhere, like a starter, or a reliever, or a GOOD LH hitter.
  8. I look for a low-scoring game tonight. I'm sure Rick Anderson made it a point to Carlos Silva not to be near as wild within the strike zone this time. And Buehrle has been pitching well, and he seems to always pitch well against the Twins. I think this game could very easily end 3-2 or 4-3 or some close score like that. I hope Koch had his Wheaties today.
  9. And to think that Konerko damn near had 3 homers too. His first at-bat against Mulholland, he hit a ball and right away I thought it was gone. Came up just short and it was WTP into Ford's glove. He seems to be swinging a better bat as of late, and if he can get it going, that could very well mean more fastballs for Jose, and he is one of the best, if not the best, fastball hitting player on the Sox. He just can't hit a curveball. He and Pedro Cerrano need to sit down and talk about their struggles with hitting curve balls.
  10. You mean like Sammy and his music?
  11. Then again, maybe not. His career average at the rollerdome is .308, and his career home/away average is .304/.292 respectively, and his turf/grass average is .302/.294 respectively. So scratch what I said. He just sucks ass now.
  12. Pierzynski is nothing outside the rollerdome. He made a living hitting hard grounders that just got through the holes in the IF by going just fast enough. The only two teams he'd be successful for now are Montreal(when they are in Montreal) and Toronto.
  13. You never know at times.
  14. Oh man, we're getting SO ripped off.
  15. Hell no. Burnitz hasn't been able to handle pressure the past 2 seasons in New York and LA. Why would the Sox then take a player whose stats are undoubtedly Coors-inflated who can't handle the pressure, and give up a player who can be solid against LHP? I liked Jurassic when he was here though. If the Sox could bring him back, they should.
  16. At some point, the question becomes would you rather have Timo in CF or Crede at 3B. I don't think Timo is a good starting OFer, but atleast he can hit above .250, let alone the .210 or so Crede is putting up right now. It seems that right now it is all or nothing for Crede.
  17. This isn't good, but it gets the job done I wish I was as good at that s*** as Cheat and playa
  18. Damn right. I think I'll probably be the guy who will be driving somewhere while eating a sandwich and talking to someone on the phone. Or watching TV and having sex(did I just go there? )
  19. 2000 seems like yesterday, but at the same time, seems like it was 4 years ago(maybe because it was?) I wouldn't mind seeing 2000 again. This team seems to be getting hot, and if they can play .700 baseball for a good stretch of time, it could be over before you know it(ala 2000).
  20. I spend 50% of the time here, 10% of the time doing fantasy and Yahoo s***, and 75% of the other time looking at porn. So it adds up to 135%. Sue me.
  21. Shut the hell up. You never be glad anyone is ever hurt. NEVER. That's disgusting.
  22. And I believe the Giants just won their first game with Bonds not in the lineup.
  23. Best thing about it was the Twins announcers basically called it. Blyleven said "Greisinger has to be careful with Frank here 2-0" and the very next thing that happened was Thomas went deep. It was beautiful.
