  1. And[bold prediction] we'll be there to stay [/bold prediction]
  2. No one can tell me this team is not one of the best in the league right now. They are playing as well as anyone and have already won games in several different ways(and we've only won 6 games). They are hitting homers to win, getting hits to win, pitching the s*** out of the ball to win, and then winning games with combos of those. With another starter - preferably a top of the line starter - and another quality reliever or two, this team is quite possibly the most dangerous team in the major leagues. GO SOX!!!
  3. If these guys actually watched the games, they'd have a f***ing clue. IMO, the best 4 in the majors right now are Marlins in 1st, Angels at 2, Athletics at 3, and White Sox at 4(and the A's and Sox could be flip-flopped). They are playing as well as anyone right now, and really, with a decent job from the pen in game 1, a little luck in game 1 against the Yanks, and a little execution against the Yanks in game 4, the Sox could actually be 9-0 right now. Given, you don't always get the breaks, but this team could legitemately be 8-1 right now, and they could be quite easily as well.

    Koch

I wouldn't say anyone can hit that pitch. It's not a hard pitch to hit, but hitting a 94 MPH fastball coming up and in could jam a lot of hitters. Sweeney opened his stance when the ball was coming in on him and he drilled the s*** out of it....that's one of the ways you hit an inside pitch(the other is to swing earlier, and if you know anything about baseball, you know that). Sweeney made a good swing on it. It wasn't the wisest pitch Koch could make, but s*** happens.

I think it's funny as hell when people get taken to the cleaners that badly.

    Whoa

No one said I had to be GM of the White Sox. Then again, no one said Jas had to be GM of the White Sox either.
  7. Probably where you left it last. BTW, what does mine say?
  8. Unless of course we were playing the Twins, Mariners, or Yankees.
  9. Rowand sucked ass out of the gate last year too. He went to AAA and was f***ing smoking when he came back up(I still remember that huge-ass homer he hit off of Alfon-six-a). Then we traded for Everett.
  10. If I have counted correctly, that stupid son of a b**** has 3 homers. Wanna guess which team he has had them all against?
  11. Which perfectly explains why we've scored 22 runs within the past 2 days in the same city
  12. I still want a team picture of them on Madden 2005. Ya know, just to seal the deal.
  13. I suppose you saw the Blue Collar Comedy Tour, no? I saw it on Comedy Central the other night...I was laughing my ass off for most of it. Now I gotta see the actual movie, because I've heard that when it's on Comedy Central, they cut out parts of it during the commercials.
  14. They are dangerous because they have heart...awww... The Tampa Bay Devil Rays had heart last year too. They still lost 90 games. Then again, I would not be surprised to see KC lose 90 games either. They are just not.that.good. No starting pitching, a s*** bullpen, an injury prone offense, and a mediocre bench. Pena is an OK manager. IMO, KC is no better then Tampa Bay...in fact, I would have to think long and hard about who is actually better between the two of them. BTW, the Sox do have heart as well...however, they do have starting pitching, atleast 2 or 3 good pitchers in the bullpen, a good offense that is not injury prone at all, a mediocre bench, and a good manager. We are easily in much better shape then the Royals.
  15. They had footage of a fan pulling the switcheroo last year at a Cubs game, and ESPN made it a point to show it. The closest I've ever gotten to a home run ball was in 2000 at a Twins-White Sox game in September. Torii Hunter hit a home run that landed literally one row in front of me. He hits it like 1 foot higher and it lands in my lap, not the guy's sitting in front of me. Then my brother got a BP ball from JC Romero the next day. So it all worked out in the end.
  16. Here's my take on the post game show. I can only hope so. f*** that s***. I'll take the Sox-Yankees-Red Sox-Astros-Cardinals...hell, I'd probably even take the f***ing Cubs offense over the Royals offense. The Sox have beaten the s*** out of the Royals EVERY time they've played them, but got very unlucky in game 1 of the season. That cannot bode well for KC's success. KC has no pitching, plain and simple. Their offense, while solid, is not among the league's best, and I would guess that they are sellers at the trade deadline.

    Koch

For how s***ty Koch has been with the White Sox, the one constant with him has been his good attitude and his good sense of humor. I think Billy has the bar tab tonight.
  18. What a f***ing dips***. If they played like the White Sox, they would have won. That's being a total douchebag. The Royals haven't had a better record then the White Sox since 1989, 15 years ago. That's like a Blue Jays fan saying "We played like the Yankees today" on a day they lose to the Yankees, only worse. To describe how stupid, ignorant, and flat out cocky that really is is virtually impossible. That being said, let me stoop to his level, and say "Have fun watching our taillights because you'll be behind us all year long jackass!"

    Koch

It looked like he was getting the ball up, and you can throw the ball up. However, if you want to throw it high, either throw it knee high(or lower), or throw it chest high, chin high, eye high, or above-his-head high...not f***ing belt-high. He could have gotten burned much worse then he did today. Right away, I didn't think Beltran got it all...in fact, right when he hit it, I thought it was a fly-ball to CF. Rowand kept going back and back and then he and the wall met face-to-face and the ball landed over the fence. Right away, I knew Sweeney did. Sweeney hit the s*** out of that ball. The only way that doesn't go out is if the wall in LF is 380 feet away.

    Koch

Where was Marte's stuff on opening day? Yeah, that's what I thought.
  21. I didn't give up hope. I was thinking to myself three things: #1 - Koch f***ing sucks ass. Maybe we shouldn't have brought him in yesterday. #2 - How big were those runs we scored in the 7th? Ho.ly.s***. #3 - I wonder how the Royals will feel after we have a walk off win against their stupid-asses.
  22. And of course you'd take Edgar Renteria or Orlando Cabrera(one of the most underrated SS's in the majors if you ask me) for less then the $15 mill a year he's looking for.
  23. This is true. At that point, you have to kind of look and see who is making a significant amount of money and is not necessary for the team to win(like the Twins did this past offseason). Konerko could be dealt, and if Reed(or for that matter, even Sweeney or Anderson, but I highly doubt they'll improve that much) improves enough, you have to be looking at the possibility of seeing what you can get for Carlos Lee too(even though I like him a lot). That $9 mill or so that he will make next year is quite unattractive. Of course, maybe JR will be kind and bump up the payroll to $80-85 mill. Or maybe he'll sell his share of the Bulls and let us have a $90-95 mill payroll. And maybe my s*** will turn purple and smell like roses.
