Were all of Buehrle's runs truly earned? On Yahoo, it did say they were all earned, but from how I understood it, Jeter scored due to a Crede throwing error. Throwing error = unearned run, doesn't it? To get back on subject here, I am personally not too mad about this loss. Not sure why. I think it is because pitchers will always have bad outings, and the fact that we were down 7-0 and damn near won the game(and had a damn good shot to win the game) is what I like most. IMO, Maggs getting caught stealing killed us. It's not a bad move in that situation, but that is a high risk-high reward type of scenario, and I usually would not send Maggs in that situation. However, and maybe someone can further explain this to me...was it that Maggs got caught stealing, or that Carlos swung and missed(or just flat out missed) a hit and run and Maggs was left out to dry? Not being able to watch is a b****.

That's kind of a misleading statement even if it is true. The Giants were 5 outs away from winning the World Series in 2002, and I am just making an assumption(don't shoot me if I'm wrong) that Bonds was making => 15% of the Giants payroll. Given, Bonds is the main exception in the majors leagues, with him being about the only guy in the league who actually does make every player around him better. Do you think there is a reason to explain the Giants success of the past few years without using the name Bonds somewhere in the explanation?

We have to, have to, have to, have to, have to, have to avoid big innings. It is the thing that killed us in 2002, and has been the thing that has killed us thus far. We could realistically be a 10-3 team right now. I'll take 8-5 though. BTW, I still stand very strongly to this team being one of the best, if not the best in the league, even if we only play 8 innings. We won't play 8 all year, because at some point they'll remember that games are 9 innings, and I personally think this pen will get its s*** together very soon. All we need is really one durable arm in that pen. We get one durable arm in that pen, and he could be like glue, and that pen could just be strong as hell. Apparently, that guy is not Shingo and that guy is not Neal Cotts(we still love you over here though Neal). I don't know who it is, but I think we are one strong reliever away from having a mediocre pen to having a great pen, and, with this team and with almost every other team in the majors, a great pen = a s***load of success.

Umm.... Don't forget to bring a towel!

So does Sandy hit, or does Frank pinch-hit next inning?

Amazega or Figgins. I wouldn't mind Bellhorn from Boston either. Only problem with that is that they then do not have a 2Bman until May when Pokey Reese takes over 2B again, unless they traded someone else for Brian Roberts. I could easily see that being a 3-team trade, White Sox get Mark Bellhorn, Orioles get a solid prospect from Boston, Boston gets Wunsch and Roberts.

Oh you do, I didn't notice. Sorry My bad though Steve...maybe I should go to MSU. Taking a bowling class would kick ass. I've heard bowling drunk kicks some serious ass too, not that I would know about that.

"Don't forget to bring a towel!........Wanna get high?" "Oh man, I'm so stoned, I have no idea what I'm doing."

Uhh.... Las Vegas anyone? They have no major sports team(Las Vegas 51's, the Dodgers AAA team, but I think that's it...maybe AFL or an XFL team when that was in for the one year), and that is the city that never sleeps. I assume they have no sports team due to the fact that there would be some major betting action afterward.

BULLETIN BOARD MATERIAL You Yankee f***ers...lie down and let us kick the s*** out of you 3 times and get the f*** out of our house.

The biggest surprise to me is that the White Sox have looked like a top 3 team in the majors, quite possibly the best team in the league period. This team is scary good right now, and if they get another ace starter and some more depth to the pen....watch the f*** out.

I don't think you have seen enough baseball then. Aaron Rowand, while not possessing the greatest range, does actually have pretty good range. I remember watching the Yanks-Sox series and seeing Rowand easily get to balls that Bernie Williams let drop in, and Williams range IMO is probably just a little below average. I think we are almost spoiled. We have Lee in LF, who has gone from a defensive liability to being one of the best defensive LFers in the game, Rowand who is above-average defensive in CF, Maggs who is average, and then Harris who is exceptional due to his God-given talent and being able to read the balls well. Those 2 in CF made Everett look like he had s*** for range in CF last year, when really Everett's range is right around mediocre too.

You can thank the cheat for the sig...he's good as hell at that stuff. He just put it up after Maggs's walk-off and I claimed it. Just to make it clear...I am not against calling up Reed by any means. If he came up and can have a Miguel Cabera or Andruw Jones type effect on the team, then by God do it. However, if he cannot...I think letting him fine-tune his swing, see more pitches, etc, etc, etc at AAA for one year would be the best thing to do.

Racist And I think we should start a fight tonight. I don't know why. I just think we should start a beanball war. It would be a good night for that. Not that I am for violence...I am just for kicking the Yankees ass any which way we can. Renew the rivalry from the late 50s and early 60s.

Good to hear I am not alone, finding out that Mooch and Jester also bowl. I started out f***ing on fire this year...about 190-200 for the first month or two...and went down the drain after that. Finished at about 170, so you can see how badly it went after that. Tossed my highest game ever though, a 267. Also threw my highest 3 and 4 game series ever...I had a 680 3 game series and somewhere real damn close to a 900 4-game series(most likely somewhere around 890-895). I honestly have no idea what happened to me after that though.

I got caught on a Klingon battle cruiser and two new life-forms came up to me that I'd never seen before, the Okrenok's and the Zenodro's. I was lucky to get out of their alive. Apparently, calling the the Klingon's, Okrenok's, and Zenodro's funny looking is enough to get them to shoot at you. Star Trek...the one show that I've always found to be funny as hell. We had to find a Klingon translator in school today, so it's the first thing that came up.

Montana ain't much better!

I don't know why, but I think if we need a CFer, we'll get a rent-a-player, much like last year. Not sure who, not sure when, not sure at what cost. One reason could be one brought up by Brando...we then get an extra year out of him if we keep him in the minors all year(I assume years don't count if they get a September call-up...am I wrong in thinking that? If so...meh. Leave him in the minors) We let him get fine-tuned in AAA, and he is stoked to have a damn fine year in 2005 with the big league club...hopefully he can put up Angel Berroa of 2003-esque numbers.

I've been to the Metrodome, and that's the only place, so I really do not have a strong opinion on this issue. Personally, I liked it...mainly because I was watching the Sox play. There is nothing great as far as food is concerned(hot dogs, nachos, pretzels...all you would expect...nothing like corned beef sandwiches or churros or anything like that), but it fills you up. I know for a fact that it is a dome and does not have a retractable ceiling. The roof almost looks like a balloon, and I'm afraid if they tried to open it, it would pop and would fly all around like balloons do when you let the air out of them.

Except for the possibility of Dan Wright.

Hey guess what, huh spelled backwards is huh. And I'm so glad that ESPN is run by such bright people. Dumbasses.

:finger I understand what you're saying and how you are trying to point it out. I just think it is a little awkward using the same verb twice in a row like that...maybe it just soudns weird to me. I just think that "His defense has been spectacular, as witnessed by Hideki Matsui. Matsui witnessed Olivo’s exemplary arm as he was picked off at second base" with 'witnessed' being the key verb both times could be upgraded a little. IMO, "His defense has been spectacular, as seen first-hand by Hideki Matsui. Matsui witnessed Olivo’s exemplary arm as he was picked off at second base. " To me, the way I have it worded just seems a little more colorful. Using the same verb, especially in back-to-back sentences, seems to get a little boring. Using synonyms like that I think can help make articles more fun to read. I couldn't have written an article like that with such big words, and that's the only thing that I found really wrong. It's nothing to complain about
-
It's a solid article. It basically sums up the season thus far, and is well written. However, there is one part that is kind of awkward and repetitive... To me, it seems like you're saying the same thing twice. I see nothing blatantly wrong with it, and there's nothing I disagree with much. Looks good to me.

It sucks Ok, now I'll actually read it and see what I think... I shall be right back
