  1. Or the Twins The Twins being #1 in his preseason powerrankings because they "had the most upside of any of the LCS teams" is complete bulls***. He just had to think of a good excuse as to why he thought the Twins were the best team going into the year. I think I know who his two favorite teams are....the Flubbies and the Twinkies. I wonder what he thinks of that ranking now. Also....he said that the Cubs will only be better in the second half. I for some reason have a hard time believing that. I wonder why
  2. The Jays put him on waivers(like a lot of teams do for their higher priced players in August), and the Orioles claimed him. The Blue Jays didn't want him back, so they let the O's have him.
  3. The Drays have 17 guys who are making the minimum

    Ghosts

Ghosts are f***ing freaky. And I think they are real too.
  5. Who else is mind blowing though? I know Batista isn't mind blowing, but right now, after acquring two very good players, who could we get that would blow my mind?
  6. I could see a Konerko and Crede for Ponson, Batista, and Roberts/Lightenberg deal work out. In fact, I think that would be a great deal for us. Sure we lose Crede, which bites big time, but we get Batista, who hits better then Crede, Ponson, a hell of a good starter, and Willis Roberts or Lightenberg, for bullpen help. We then try to resign Batista after we get the important guys resigned. If we can't resign him, we then go after Smiley, Joe Randa. He's a hell of a ballplayer, and he flat out plays the game right. He'd be an incredibly good signing, and not only would it be a good signing for us, but he then couldn't kill us, and that's even better.
  7. Someone said the other day "The Sox added Alomar and Everett, the Cubs added Josh Paul. I wonder which Chicago team is going in the right direction?" Not sure who said it, but not only is that funny, but it is the truth.
  8. At 37, you are closer to 20 then 60! How's that sound? And make sure to BE GOOD.
  9. Apparently, you forgot to put that in green i don't do anything in green, nothing Then that should be in green too! Remember how we should acquire that SS from Milwaukee?
  10. Me neither. I got quite the from it while driving during work. Santo sounded like he was gonna jump out the booth. He declared, "Cruz isn't ready for this League!" Then to listen to the dejected sCrUBBIE fans on the Score and AM 1000 afterwards was sweet music to my ears. A little payback for Corky's "hop" last night. Do as I do..... when you start to feel sorry for the sCrUBS (I NEVER do), think of all the times you got pissed at Corkin' ShamME Soso "hopping" out of the box. That should take care of any apathy you may be feeling for the Assholes on Addison. You know, if Sosa hit a homer everytime he actually did do that hop, he'd be in the 700 club by now
  11. Happy birthday man! Have a good one!
  12. Apparently, you forgot to put that in green
  13. Konerko for sure can go. I could see Lee, since he's sorta cheap, and has potential. Oh s***, I forgot about Lee. He could definately go as well. I just don't know who all could be traded. This team, the way it is, it could become very good. However, with this blockbuster deal....I can think of about one place we could actually get improvement. We could improve at 3B offensively. Trading Lee for another position player would be pointless. We'd still have the same number of corner OFers that we have now(let's say we trade for Joe Hoe....we then have Joe Hoe, Daubach, Maggs, Everett, and Rowand that can all play a corner OF spot). We can't really add another CFer without trading Rowand or Harris, and I find no point in that, because they have little value as it is). We have no need to trade for a RFer, a 2Bman, a 1Bman, and a C, because of who we have at these positions. We just acquired Robby Alomar for 2B, we have the future in Olivo behind the plate and I see no reason we need to sacrifice the future at that spot, and not only do we have too many 1B/RF types as it is, but we have studs at these spots in Thomas, Daubach, and Maggs. And at SS, I suppose we could improve, but who is available that we could trade for that would improve us? How about no one? We have had an interest in Sidney Ponson over the years, and it is growing this year. Anyone know who is leading the Orioles in RBI? Tony Batista, a 3Bman. I wouldn't mind having Willis Roberts or Kerry Lightenberg on the team either, just to let you know.
  14. Right now, I see Konerko, Glover, and White as guys we could trade. Who else? Daubach? Wright and Garland too I suppose, though I don't see the need to do that. I like Garland as a starter, and I think Wright would make a hell of a reliever.
  15. BE GOOD son.............nothing new. OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH wellllllllllllllll I wish i had something original like BE GOOD son........ Hey, me too. I'll just say Twuck the Fins
  16. That's actually good to know in my book. I don't need to know anymore..... ....unless you want to tell me more!
  17. HSC, I was just wondering if you knew anything about the Sox and Orioles talking about a trade that would send Konerko to them for Ponson? I know it was mentioned a few times on here, and apparently, the Orioles rejected it. The talks have died down, and what I'm really wondering is if the talks have died down for good. So have they? I wouldn't mind giving the Orioles Konerko and a decent prospect or two for Ponson. Ponson is an innings-eater, something that would be very nice.
  18. Closer? What are you talking about? Koch has been lights out!
  19. "Twins lose the division" or "Sox win the division." Those words would sound nice to me in September. Right now, I don't mind hearing "Sox win! Sox win!" And "f*** the Minnesota Twins" is always nice And you have to like the acronyms of CUBS and SOSA. "Completely useless by September" and "Strikes out swinging again" respectively
  20. Yeah, let's trade our best hitter. Even if Kenny were in charge, I don't think he'd be dumb enough or does he have the balls to trade the best hitter on the team.
  21. I'll just assume that Flash and Damaso are untouchable too. Wouldn't that just be fine and dandy to trade our two best relievers.
  22. Nope, just too much money. If we could get he and Robby to sign for $4 mill each, then I'd consider it. That ain't happening, especially if Carl hits 30 bombs, which is very possible. If we get to the postseason and we go a little ways with Carl, teams will catch on that he's actually a good guy in the clubhouse, just not a big media guy. Roger Maris was never a good media guy either(kind of out of the blue, but I hope you see the point). Right now, I want to resign Bartolo, pick up Esteban's option, resign Mark, make sure Jose is here next year, make sure Carlos is here, and make sure Dauber is here. I also wouldn't mind having Tom Gordon back either. That and adding up Thomas's, Maggs's, Koch's, Konerko's(assuming he isn't dealt), Garland's and Damaso's money for next year, and several other things...and that will probably be over $72 mill. I can only hope we get rid of Konerko, because without him, that is at $64 mill. That is also with Thomas picking up his option(the $6 mill one....he could very well decline that and we pick up ours at $8 mill). I had Bart at $10 mill, Mark and Loaiza at about $4 mill each, though I think Esteban's is $3.5 mill, Jose at like $4 mill, Carlos at $5 mill, Dauber at $2 mill, Gordon at $1.5(because we'd pick up his option), and I had Garland and Damaso making $1 mill each. If we resign Robby, that will probably put us at $78-$80 mill.....that is a hell of a lot of money, and I think it is probably too much. Getting rid of Konerko and Koch is almost essential. I think you get the point that Carl is not coming back.
  23. I wasn't sure how much it put us behind KC. But thanks I was actually talking about how far it put us behind the Twinkies.
  24. The only I'd want back is Robby. I do not want Everett back.
