ALL-STAR voting (7/6-7/9) for Frank
f*** They're doing this stupid-ass 30th man s*** again? Goddamn that idea is f***ING TERRIBLE. Now we're going to see some piece of s*** like Johnny Damon in there instead of a MUCH more deserving player like Eric Chavez, Magglio Ordonez, or Jim Thome(that is what happened last year). Who's it going to be this time, Todd Walker or someone asshat like that? Maybe we'll see Bubba f***in' Trammel or Raul Mondesi. JFC....I hate this f***ing idea. Can it NOW. Worst idea ever.

about the possible trade with the O's
That I agree with. Well said

Good pitching beats good hitting 9 times out of 10. Zambrano has a lower ERA then Colon. What's that tell you?

The most underrated player in the majors is, by far, Aubrey Huff. He has, assuming I did my math correctly, 47 XBHs. That is pretty f***ing good. I believe that is like 9th in the league. The guys who are ahead of him? Garrett Anderson, Carlos Delgado, Albert Pujols, Vernon Wells, Mike Lowell, Nomar Garciaparra, Jim Edmonds, and Luis Gonzalez. Bret Boone and Preston Wilson also have 47 XBHs. That's some pretty good company.

In the 2 spot he gets more fastballs, as the best hitter (A-Rod, Frank) usually hits third. The other team doesn't want to walk whoever's before them, so the second batter gets less offspeed stuff, less movement on the pitches. I know. That's why I think we should have Carl bat 2nd

I never said they'd win anything...I just said that Lou would put them on the map.

Believe what you wish. I'm not going to get into another pointless argument again though.

A possible point of interest that I just found out. Carl Everett, this year, has hit .340(18 for 53) with 6 homers and 12 RBIs out of the #2 spot. He has hit just .143(7 for 49) with 3 homers and 5 RBI out of the #5 and #7 spots in the lineup combined. For some strange reason, he has hit .327(16 for 49) with 3 homers and 8 RBI out of the #6 spot. I can't explain the #6 spot....but I can tell you that switching him and Valentin in the lineup we have now, or atleast putting Carl 2nd, Dauber 5th, and Valentin 7th could have good results. Apparently, Carl likes hitting in front of a very good hitter....and Frank Thomas is a very good hitter.

I don't think so. They have a very, very good manager in Lou Piniella. I'm sure you could have said the same thing about the Mariners in the early 90s. Now their one of the best teams in the league year in and year out. Sweet Lou put Seattle on the map, and Sweet Lou will also put Tampa Bay on the map. I though Sweet Lou wanted out?? And the Yankees were interested in him for next year. Nope. He basically said I signed the contract, I wanted to come down here, so I'm going to stay down here until my contract ends if I remember correctly.

You tip your hat to the catcher for throwing you out. The same happens if the pitcher strikes you out by throwing a pitch on the black or if you get a hit on a good pitcher's pitch. You can't win 'em all. Sometimes, you just get beat by someone playing better.

Robbie is good. Too bad he got caught stealing though. Oh well.

SOX this summer's block-buster?
Take it one game at a time, and beat the Royals when we play them. Simple as that.

FRANK THOMAS
Agreed. It bugs the hell out of me that there was even a slight race this year between Javy Lopez and Ivan Rodriguez as far as the NL catcher goes. Lopez was BY FAR the superior catcher. And Ichiro and Hideki Matsui going? They are good players, but don't you think a more deserving player....like for instance Vernon Wells, or Aubrey Huff, or Juan Gonzalez, or even Maggs compared to the numbers of those two....should be going instead? Fan voting f***ing sucks. I think some Red Sox and Yankee fans have kids just so that they can get them to vote for the Yankees to get into the All-Star game. Send their 28 kids to the library and have them vote for all the Yankees 150 times on 6 different email addresses, and they have them do this everyday. And if Roger Clemens starts the game, I'm gonna f***ing rip something apart. His numbers for the year are s*** compared to Esteban's or even Roy Halladay's numbers. Esteban should start, but I would not be mad if Halladay started. If Clemens starts though..... And you wonder why a lot of fans don't even care about the All-Star game anymore. If the fans had a f***ing clue, like football fans do, then I could understand. Problem is, they don't have a clue.

about the possible trade with the O's
We have Frank and Dauber as 1B/DH types right now....and those two combined don't make as much as Paulie is. Do you understand why we now want to get rid of Paul Konerko? Konerko is going to make $8 mill a year from here on out. If we can take that $8 mill off of our roster, it will be more money spent on keeping players, such as Bartolo Colon and Esteban Loaiza, here instead of having them leave via free agency.

My take on the mind blowing trade.
He was not released. I am almost positive on this. He was struggling at the time, the Blue Jays put him on waivers like a lot of teams do to players(I know we did it to Foulke last year, and he cleared, and we put Wunsch on waivers, but he did not clear, so we took him off). The Orioles put a claim in for Batista, and the Jays didn't take him off waivers, so they let the Orioles have him. Here, this is from his profile on MLB.com

about the possible trade with the O's
Or the Twins The Twins being #1 in his preseason powerrankings because they "had the most upside of any of the LCS teams" is complete bulls***. He just had to think of a good excuse as to why he thought the Twins were the best team going into the year. I think I know who his two favorite teams are....the Flubbies and the Twinkies. I wonder what he thinks of that ranking now. Also....he said that the Cubs will only be better in the second half. I for some reason have a hard time believing that. I wonder why
