Jas, did you just use the word "good" to describe Jimenez? The only thing of his that is good is his bat, and when he gets in a funk, he is no good. He strikes out way too much, he doesn't walk enough, he is too slow, he has little range, he has bad baseball instincts, his glove is questionable, his work ethic is bad, and he is not a good teammate according to the stories I've heard. Now Cotts is a different story....

I forgot about Rowand....he could play too, and he apparently would be a better option. I just want some small ball to go along with out heavy bats.

Maybe he puts Alomar at leadoff and moves Val back to 2nd spot. Or he puts Everertt or Lee at DH and LF and puts Harris in CF. I could do that, because we then have a good LH bat off the bench in Daubach. I am in favor of letting Willie leadoff no matter what.

I hate to do this....but you forgot one hole....leadoff hitter. Who is going to leadoff? 36 year old Robby Alomar? Not so sure about that one I just don't know who....Carlos or Miguel come to my head initially, and Robby could do it....Jose could try it as well.

You even said it yourself....Gammons is f***ing clueless(or something like that). I do like one thing though....it does add another LH bat in the middle of the lineup(he's a switch hitter I believe). Thomas, Everett, Maggs, Daubach, Lee, Valentin....that's R-S-R-L-R-S.....that's quite a switched up lineup. And then you have Robby Alomar hitting in front of Thomas too(or I guess leading off now). That's what I don't like about this deal. Without Everett, we actually had a leadoff hitter....Harris has been doing a hell of a job for us. Did KW not realize that by making this trade he's just putting us in the same situation that we were in earlier this year, with everybody swinging for the fences and hitting a lot of solo shots and not playing small ball? Dammit

If we gave up Cotts, this deal f***ing sucks. Everett is a cancer in the clubhouse, is not a good CFer, does not like to play CF IIRC, and we now have s*** for starters in the minors. And who are the other minor leaguers? I just hope that Gary Glover was one of the other minor leaguers. Seriously though, I bet the Jewster is gone too. Him or Ginter....and then like Jorge Nunez or something like that.

You just said what I said in that other thread. We won't get Mora....but I would take him if we could get him if the price were right. I would trade very little to get him, because he is a superutility guy that can play OF and IF, and he has a good(notice, not a great bat, just a good one) bat to go along with it. A versatile player who can hit the ball is nice to have. We would not get him cheaply, so why bother?

Then they have Khalil Greene to do what with if Vazquez moves to 2B? He's good trade bait I guess.

Would you trade one of the elite players in the game in Maggs who can give you a .320 35 140 season for a guy in Mora who, if he hypothetically did keep this up for his entire career, might hit .330 15 80 a year? You would have to be f***ing stupid to do that. Would you trade Maggs for Mora? I said I'd take him if the price is right. That price obviously isn't right.

Jackass and dumbf*** are both personal attacks and are both in the same boat. And why would I get my feelings hurt by a faceless, bodiless person on the internet? There's no reason I should. I didn't say you were the same(on this thread). I'm not even making that assumption. I just asked how he was doing(because I haven't been on in a day and a half).
