They don't want to get their asses swept.....that's why we need to take this one game at a time. They don't give a flying f*** about bragging rights right now. They want to get back in first. We want to get even closer to the Twinkies/Royals. Plain and simple
-
The Royals are playing way over their head. They f***ing suck. For all I care, we are 3.5 back of the real first place team right now. If we keep going like this, and the Twinkies get back to the way they can play, both teams will win around 90-95 games. The Royals will finish at or slightly above/below .500. They are a pretender, not a contender. They don't have the talent, experience, or depth to stay in this thing. But Tony Pena is a hell of a manager. What I find scary about the Twins is that if they trade one of Radke/Mays/Reed, they could be right back in this thing. They would be getting rid of a s***ty pitcher, and Johan Santana would join the rotation. As about everyone here knows, he's a hell of a starting pitcher and is dangerous as hell. And then they'll add any schmuck to their pen and he'll work out in the end.

No But good try

So he's just luckily hitting .360? Maybe YOU should be a comedian
-
OK, you just keep giving me material, and hopefully I'll make it someday

Tomorrow's game is at COMISKEY, and Hawk and DJ broadcast ALL Sox/Cubs games from Comiskey!!! Take a brown paper bag with you next time Are you serious? I could have sworn that Hawk and DJ did a game last year at Wrigley. Maybe I'm just not thinking because it's so late. I better get some sleep.

Hey, I'm just hopeful. But you are right. We need to take this one game at a time.
-
And that by the ASB, we're 5-10 games above .500
-
Heres is for the sox winning 99-0 tomorrow!!! Hey, I can cheer for that one!
-
He's got fire, and he will probably play better then Jimenez? Just a hunch
-
I don't know, it's pretty goddamn late. I am pretty sure the game is on tomorrow, but I think it is Chimp and Stone. I wish SnR would do an extra telecast.....holy s*** would that be better then Chimp and Stone. I mean, Stoney is half decent, but Chimp is just s***ty. He is GOD f***ING AWFUL. I hope Loaiza throws a goddamn no hitter tomorrow and I hope every f***ing Sox hitter hits one onto Waveland or the other street that is in RF....just to listen to Chimp b**** about how the Cubs are getting f***ed up.

When's the action start? My pop is getting warm and my popcorn is getting cold and stale!

What the hell? What's living if you can't cross the Minnesota state line with a duck on your head, or fishing on a giraffe's neck? I mean COME ON! Jeezus

f*** YES, OH f*** YES! HOW MUCH SWEETER CAN IT GET THAN THIS?
-
He wouldn't have a pitch count, would he?
-
he was 0-scrubs before his 9th inning at bat - he is now 1-scrubs and a great hit it was - we need production from all of the team and he supplied it, once today and I saw it and loved it to say the least but he is still an arrogant little asshole with a big mouth (in other words, a dumb f***) and when he produces consistently I will be open to revising that opinion which is not to say that I did love his at bat today You can think a guy is a dumbf*** that is actually a very good player. You probably think David Wells is a dumbf***, and I personally feel that Jason Giambi is a dumbf***. Both are good players.
-
I just want him to make sure he tells his team to remember to play 9 innings, that's all. Is that cocky?
-
Maybe not the 99 wins, but I'm talking more of them being a mediocre team in the first half and getting very hot in the second half and then taking the division.
-
I'm not sure if Jimenez will be around much longer. If he doesn't want to get fired up, that's his f***ing problem, and he should take it elsewhere. I'd trade him to any f***ing team that wants him right now. Harris is the answer at 2B, not Jimenez.
-
I wasn't around to see it(sadly), but is anyone smelling 1983 all over again?
-
This team will be VERY dangerous as soon as Schilling and Johnson come back. I'm glad we already played them this year.

cw.....great post....and I agree whole-heartedly. There are actually advantages to struggling the way we did early on in the year. Those struggles build character for a team, build bonds, showing that we are tough enough to escape from a big struggle like that. It is not the team with the best record that always wins it all(because the only two teams to have ever won 116 games have not won a World Series title), but rather the team that gets the hottest. If a team thinks they can coast through the playoffs, that team is way, way wrong. The Angels proved that last year. Taking it one game at a time and just winning the whole f***ing thing. The funny thing is is the fact that the Angels were 8 games under .500 at one point in the year(I don't care that it was early....8 games under is 8 games under, I don't care who, what, where, when, or how you did it). Am I comparing us to the Angels? Of course not. Just making a point that anything can and will happen. Point blank, you know how to lose, you know how to come back the next day, and you know how to show some respect to the opposition....plain and simple. And we as White Sox fans are f***ing due for the big one.

I disagree a great deal with your analysis of Rowand. Let me offer something that I have learned. Many people form opinions of people, things, and situations, and hold onto that opinion forever. I have done this for my entire life. People need to let go of their egos and realize that people, situations and things can change, and change for the good! I think Mora sucks and always will, but hey, itS POSSIBLE that he can turn into a darn good player. The same can be said for Rowand and DJ. I wouldnt bet on it but hey, at least im willing to admit maybe i dont know it all. The answer is WHO KNOWS, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE. Like Esteban Loaiza. Who would have guessed that he would have turned into a potential Cy Young candiate the way he has. He has been hit hard like once this year, and he left one game early because he wasn't feeling well(and in that outing, he still only gave up 3 runs in 5 innings....that's called battling). Who would have guessed that a relatively mediocre pitcher for much of his career could just put it together like this.

Agreed. I hope someone realizes this. Make baseball enjoyable for all.

no one at the Cell questioned what was going to happen the entire 9th inning - everyone was on their feet - the scrubbie fans looking nervous and our fans just roaring - it was incredible - the only game simlar was the September 2000 game (Friday or Saturday before Labor Day as I recall) against Anaheim when we were down 8-3 in the 8th and won 9-8 - the crowd expected victory and almsot willed it to happen the best thing said about Sox fans today is hardly anyone left during the rain delay - even though we were trailing - the Cell was almost exactly as full when the game resumed as wehn it started - it was one of the best crowds in a long time, not just interms of size (I think 5th largest in history) but in spirit and attitude and support - it was great to be there and not have the negativity that sometimes gets on here - I never saw a crowd stay like that during a rain delay and I cannot describe the feeling when AR hit that homer - the upper deck was all on its feet for the entire 9th and it looked like the lower deck was too - just incredible atmosphere can't be described I think some Chicagoans are actually becoming excited about the White Sox....strange as it may seem.
