Does he waive it?
-
Possibly because that is his 2002 salary?

Dibble is a dumbf***(like two weeks ago when Frank was on his tear, he said that Frank has one of the quickest bats in the game for a big guy....Frank's bat is anything by quick, even for a big guy. He does swing hard, but a quick bat? Come on) Salisbury? Like Sean Salisbury? The football guy? His opinion means s*** as far as baseball goes Not sure who Greenberg is Regardless....they're just flat out stupid. I personally feel that the pitcher who is pitching best as far as his career goes is the pitcher that should start the All-Star game. Derek Lowe started it last year, because he was pitching extremely well, and he was coming off a terrible year. And what would be better then have Loaiza start in front of his home crowd? I hope Scoscia shows some class and starts Loaiza. It would be too bad if he did not.

I didn't realize we play the Twins twice before playing ALC bottomdwellers. Llet me revise it: In the next 18 games, Sox better be 14-4 or else! Or else what? However....I'd personally be fine with 12-6 or even 11-5....not saying that I wouldn't take 14-4....I would. But what the hell....let's shoot for the moon, while we're at it, and hope for 15-3! ....or else

I don't watch it anymore, but as a kid, I'd have my parents record Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for me every week when it came on. That show was the s***.
-
We'd have to give them more then just Jimenez and Almonte for Castillo. IIRC, Almonte is 26, meaning, he is not a prospect anymore. We'd have to give them Almonte, Ginter, and Sanders or something like that.

The fire sale is done with the Tigers. Now they just have to wait out the bad contracts to guys like Easley, and Higgenson. They do have a lot of young talented pitching that will be the backbone of that team for a while. You need some offense to have a good team. They have none and I'm not sure they'll have any in a few years. Maybe if their owner(who also happens to own another Detroit franchise which has done considerably better in the past 6 years or so) sold the Tigers, he could then concentrate on his apparent real interest, and a guy that will actually spend money will come in and buy the Tigers, spend $70 mill a year, bring in a ton of FA's, and before you know it, they're kicking our asses just like they did in in years past.
-
Holy s***. If we sign this kid, I'd definately say this draft was a very good one.
-
Firesale? Do YOU want anyone on the Tigers? I sure as hell don't. And I'll say they lose the division by 45 games.
-
You know who could be triple crown in the AL this year? Carlos Degado. Let me put it this way. When he gets hot, I don't want to be the pitcher who faces him, because odds are, the ball will be hit hard and what will seem like more times then not, it will be hit out of the park.

Borchard won't be traded, case closed. I agree. I was just saying that I would trade Borchard for Zambrano and Cruz. Wouldn't you? A SS2k3...anyway the Marlins can save money is good for them....and if they knew they were getting a replacement for Castillo, I'm sure it would make it easier to pull the trigger. However, we'd have to give them more then just Jimenez to get Castillo....possibly Rauch or someone like that.

The other corny thing that happened was that we got Ruddy/Edwin Yan in the deal too....a possible future 2Bman/leadoff man for the Sox. He's got incredible speed. We got Marte and Yan for Guerrier, who has struggled for the Buccos AAA team. I guess we got "redemption" for the Ritchie fiasco.
-
If no one has any interest in Castillo, it could happen. Remember Durham for Adkins?

A turkey sandwich with yellow peppers and mayo for a club with horse-radish mustard on it. I think that's a fair trade. And if we could get Zambrano from the Cubs over here....I'd trade almost anyone to get him....key word there being almost. If we got Cruz in the deal as well, I'd even give them Borchard(kind of bold, but for Zambrano and Cruz, I would. It isn't happening, because Borchard will not help the Cubs down the stretch....just something I wanted to say).

Actually I have noticed when Sandy went on the DL and Miguel started catching every day that his numbers dropped. Maybe he still needs to split time 50-50 while learning from Sandy. This in no way changes my view that Miguel is going to be a top 5 catcher in the AL. I figure Miguel should hit in the .240-.250 range....anything higher is an added bonus, IMO.

Has anyone considered that if we did trade Colon for Zambrano(and what not else), that the Cubs rotation would be Colon, Wood, Prior, Clement, and Estes? Do you realize that if the Cubs win the series before us, we are royally f***ed? I could care less if we got Zambrano, Cruz, Guzman, Patterson, and who not else. We would be forgotten.

Getting to the postseason is a very large step in itself, however, playing in the postseason is an entirely different beast in its own right. You can win in the postseason because you have 2 or 3 very good starting pitchers, a solid bullpen, and a solid offense. If two pitchers get on fire, and another pitches well throughout, you will win a few games and a series or two. If Buehrle gets hot like he has in the past, and Loaiza gets hot like he did in April, and Colon is Colon(giving us 7 or 8 strong innings), we got a very good shot at getting to the World Series and even winning it. You get Buehrle and Loaiza giving you 8 innings of shutout ball or maybe giving up a run or two, and you can scratch out a couple runs and maybe get an RBI hit here or there, and you win. To even consider winning the division, we'll need a more solid bullpen then the one we have now. I'm all for trading White-flag, Glover, and Koch if it helps solidify the pen.

Yes he is. He doesn't know who she is, and he wants to feel her boobs.

You want to trade a SS with good range defensively, is a very good baserunner, is starting to hit a little better(in the last game against the Cubs, he hit 3 balls very hard if I remember correctly, one for a single, a double, and a liner that just got hung up in the air and died....he's heating up), has a very strong arm, and actually has a clue out there? I'm not ready to do that quite yet, but maybe that's just me.

There's still 3 months to go. I'll answer your question the best I can in October.

Do you want him to toot a horn? Do you want him to pick a thorn? Do you want him to mourn? Do you want him to be born? Do you want him to watch Dorn(either in CF for the White Sox or in the movie Major League)? Do you want him to be torn? Maybe you want him to look at porn? Aaahhhhhhh BigHurt.....BE GOOD....don't look at porn I actually better not say that....I fancy porn myself.

SUPRISED, no one ripped ya for callin him a moron BE GOOD Why would you rip Killa for telling the truth? Is it tragic? Yes. Something like this is always tragic. But just because it is tragic, does that make him smart for doing it? Of course not. What he did was stupid, and now he has to live with his consequences.

Jay Williams, meet Aaron Rowand. To be 21 or 25 and indestructable....and then something like that happens. I wish them both the best of luck. I just don't think Jay Williams will come back from this one. I hope to see him in a basketball uniform sometime in the near future. I don't think I will though. Then again, I thought Willie McGahee's career was done, and he worked his ass off to get back in shape, and he ended up being a first round pick by my Buffalo Bills(if he does in fact pan out, Travis Henry then becomes trade bait, and he brings in a pick or two)

In some cases, the fielders help bail out the pitcher by making good plays on balls that could either be hits(Miller's DP) or balls that should be fielder's choices and would be, but a SS makes a very strong throw and gets the runner by half a step(Patterson's DP). The pitcher induces the DP, but if we aren't lucky or have someone with a weaker arm then Jose at SS, we are dicked.

Is that the REAL supermaggs? How the hell you doing man?
