  1. If I may add something....can assume Foulke's trade had something to do with him not being happy about the clubhouse spies? And is that part of the reason Durham was dealt so quickly without getting much in return for him?
  2. Dick and Bert are pretty much who I have to watch if I want to watch baseball. It sucks. :fyou Bert and you're stupid ass "circle me Bert" thing! Goddamn that thing is annoying.
  3. Agreed. And you're not the only one who would love to see Thomas and Pierzynski "tango"....tango in this instance means Frank would knock AJ on his ass and sit on him until AJ yelled "uncle uncle!"
  4. You're not the only one. Then again, how many players stay with the same team their whole career? In the 50s, 60s, and 70s, it was a little more common, but it didn't happen all the time. Now-a-days, I can only think of one player off the top of my head that has played for the same team for over 10 years, and that is the only team he has played for....yeah, Frank Thomas. I personally believe that Buehrle will stay with the Sox and his career with the Sox will be atleast 10 years, and possibly even more. I don't think he will stay with the Sox his whole career. I personally think he'll leave when he is in his 30s.
  5. Man, that was incredible footage....I don't know if they're still showing it anymore on the Weather Channel, but like around Centerville, South Dakota(probably like 25 people live in that town), 3 tornados touched down. It was friggin incredible, and I've ever seen anything like it. Nothing serious here though. Just some stronger winds early on, and then there was a small t-storm late at night. Flooding in the Twin Cities too....I wonder what the Sox thought of that?

    sex is illegal

Why in the blue hell would kids in 5th grade have sex? That's f***ing gross. Aren't kids in 5th grade like 10 and 11? I think I'm gonna go puke. :puke

    Pets

No, unless the names Sadie, Sassy, and Annie have anything to do with the White Sox in some way, shape, or form. I did have two cats that were named after John Belushi characters. One was named Bluto(after Belushi's character in Animal House), and the other Jake(after Belushi's character in Blues Brothers). Jake died because he had some fish heads(because he was a dumbass), and Bluto died not that long ago. He got breast cancer(yes, I said 'he' and 'breast cancer' in the same sentence), and we got rid of that, and then he got some more cancer in his lungs, and he eventually died because of it.
  8. You know what I forgot about until I read that. Why didn't we sign Jon Lieber? We would have paid a little bit for him this year, just to sit on the bench, and then we could have him next year fully recovered from his elbow surgery. I'm very glad the Cubs don't have him anymore though. If they had him next year, fully recovered, their rotation would be flat out sickening.....Wood, Prior, Lieber, Clement, Zambrano....ugh.
  9. The 3rd is because of offense, but 7th in walks and 33rd in ERA is his fault, not the offenses... You for some reason don't think that having a ton of pressure on you to throw the perfect pitch inning after inning would finally get to someone? If you are constantly in tight games or are trailing, and you want to keep your team in the game, it is hard to win. The pressure will eventually get to you and it will ruin your confidence. Remember how it seemed like Foulke would always get rocked last year? That's the kind of s*** that happens when you lose your confidence. Him having a higher ERA, a higher BB total, and a higher loss total can all be contributed to having a lack in offensive support behind you, though only the loss total can be directly linked to the lack of offense. Pitchers are human, just like you and me.
  10. I don't think you should describe Joe Mays as doable on this board. Beatable would be a better term.
  11. Rafa....no one got mad at Jose because we won, plain and simple. DJ cannot be Jose at SS. He has no range and no arm. Jose has good range and a good, but sometimes inaccurate arm. And DJ has hit about as well as Jose has over the past month or so. DJ is a piece of s*** just as much, if not more then, Jose Valentin. The only difference is the fact that Jose Valentin is making money, and DJ is not. And assuming what we've heard from Corg/HSC/Steff that DJ and Colon are being s***heads in the clubhouse, then that makes Jose more valuable then DJ. If DJ wants to brag about a .250 average, that's fine with me. I personally wouldn't be proud of a .250 average, but then again, I'm not a dumbass.
  12. I personally don't think so. I mean, he's not huge or anything like that. He's a built guy, or so it appears, but he didn't go from super skinny to being huge like SamME did. And if you take steroids and get really big, you're going to lose some range at SS....more range then Jose has lost(very little to no range). I really just think pitchers have figured him out and that he needs to make an adjustment. Pitchers keep throwing him breaking balls, and he can't hit them. Simple as that. I will tell you one thing though. I'd much rather have Jose Valentin playing SS then DJ. If DJ played SS, it would be like seeing K-layton out there all over again. No range, no arm DJ....seems like we said that about someone else....like a year or two ago. Who could I be thinking of?

    la

Hey, I just asked him some advice on some good video games. As it is, the games I have are already either getting on my nerves and pissing me off, boring me to death, or are simple to mundane and repetitive. I am going to get WSB 2k3, and was just asking him some other good games I should look into.
  17. What? Sosa for Bell isn't #1 Take away the green and the smiley, and that is the Cubs fan answer. And then we respond with how the Cubs have won jack s*** with Sosa, and then we have them remember Matt Karchner? I once asked a Cub fan how Matt Karchner was doing, telling him Jon Garland was doing fine, and he asked me who Matt Karchner was.
  18. Back-to-back DH's? Ouch. Don't they play these guys again during the season, or is this it?
  19. Beauty? I think I'd call it something else....like heart-stopping, or breath-stopping. Obviously, you can tell my confidence level with Koch right now. You can afford to leave a 97-MPH mistake up every once in a while, because it is harder to catch up to then say, a 92-MPH mistake up. Right now, if Koch makes a mistake up, the pitch will be hit a loooooong ways.
  20. Sorry, thought it was obvious enough, but your point is made. Consider my hand slapped. Hey, I was slapping no hands. In fact, my hand should be slapped for not putting a smiley(like this one , or maybe this one ) in there. I personally feel Gammons is an idiot, but I don't think he is biased against the Sox. I may not like some of the things he says about the Sox initially though, but it's not like I think he hates the Sox. He gives us credit where credit is due. Smart? Hardly. He obviously does some very personal things to himself when he thinks about the Red Sox, but he doesn't not like the White Sox. Any idiot can be unbiased towards the White Sox though.
  21. I was barely breathing when Koch came in. Shoulda been a shutout, but it does still count as an ER shuout for Loaiza. 8 innings with 0 ER....helps his ERA tremendously. Then again, who gives a s*** about ER shutouts? We won and that's all that matters in the end. Gained a game on Minnesota, and if everything held up with KC and Cleveland, though I haven't checked yet, Minny is no longer in sole possesion of first place. I hope that Sunday was their last day in sole possesion of first place. I hope they move out of first place tomorrow night, and they don't see first place again till next April when they are 5-2 or something like that.
  22. This is another example of why many Sox fans feel put down and put upon by the national media. Plus how could they make that kind of value judgement when the stats scream otherwise? Gammons on ESPN BBTN and Bobby V and Harold Reynolds all agreed tonight that Loaiza should start the all-star game. They showed some highlights and praised his pitching. Another obvious example of Gammons hatred of the Sox!! Green is sarcasm.
  23. RC #2 The Sox and Cubs play again this weekend. The Sox look to send the Cubs into a June swoon once again. For Rocky Biddle or Rich Aurilia, how many runs will the White Sox score this series? Tiebreakers are in the main web page of the league, and the deadline is before the first pitch of game 1 between the Sox and Cubs.
  24. First of all, you tend to choke more often when Don Baylor is your manager. Dusty Baker managed a team last year that was 6 outs away from a World Series victory, and that was pure luck that the Angels pulled that out. Down 5-0 and Dusty brings one of his stud relievers, and he chokes. He then brought in Nen, possibly the toughest pitcher to hit in the Giant bullpen, and he surrenders the lead. Nothing you can do about that. Second of all....who were the Cubs starting pitchers in 1998? We they even CLOSE to being as good as Wood-Prior-Clement-Zambrano are? Third, this statement for some odd reason, bugs me I wonder why
  25. Kind of neat....hit for the cycle today, and then Biddle got the save(21 saves....and Foulke has like 20 in Oakland....they have 41 combined saves, while Koch has 10? LOL) I think it was a natural cycle too.
