cw...forgot to mention in my post above....it just sounds like you had a rough day!

That's fine....they can rank Rios as the worst OFer...I don't even think he'll make the team out of ST. He'll be traded or put on waivers or something like that....if we trade him....yippee. If we put him on waivers, and someone claims him....yippee. If we put him on waivers and no one claims him...yippee. The bench will include Daubach, Alomar(and eventually Paul or Burke), Graffy, Harris and then the most versatile guy we have that is in ST(maybe it is Paul or Burke...maybe Miles or Nunez...someone like that). I hope Miles wins the 2B job...and Jimenez is a backup infielder. That'd be sweet. And then after this year, Jimenez takes over SS. Or maybe not...who knows.

Last year, Randy Johnson pitched extremely well in ST...and he won the NL Cy Young. Last year, Joe Mays had an incredible ST.....and then he posted an ERA over 5.00 and was out for about half the year with an elbow injury, and just had some more surgery this past offseason. I hope Garland is somewhere in between there.

3035...from what I've read from HSC's ravings about him...he's got good baseball instincts, solid defense, a decent arm, he's very small(like 5'6", not 5'8"), he hits well, and he's just a smart ballplayer....but it seems like hardwork got him to where he is today....which is the same thing that happened to David Eckstein. I hope he wins the 2B job out of ST, or he atleast gets a roster spot. If you have a 25-man of players like that, you could seriously win a lot of games.

This may not directly effect us....because we might still kick the s*** out of Santana. You are not looking at the big picture....Santana is a mean mofo on the mound....and he's had good success. Can you imagine what his stats would look like WITHOUT that game against us? He'd have had an ERA of about 2.75 or maybe even lower. Colon was not that good against the Twinkies last year....but he still had a very good year. I was happy we got Colon not necessarily because he was good against the Twins career wise(because that's not true)....I was happy because we got a workhorse who is a freak of nature that gets stronger as the game goes on. I don't like the fact that Santana will be in their rotation...and no Sox fan should. When he is on....he is near unbeatable. I remember a game against Toronto last year when he had his good stuff(and I would have watched it too....as much as I don't like the Twins, I do like watching Santana pitch....he's a real good pitcher and it is fun to watch real good young pitchers pitch...but the damn game wasn't on TV)....he had like a 3-hit complete game shutout...and the Blue Jays got 2 of those hits in the 9th. He had like 13 K's and maybe 2 walks....he's awesome. It was something like that anyways....and he was f***ing awesome...and that's what he's like when he is pitching well. If given the chance, I would trade any of our pitchers, outside of Buehrle and Colon, for Santana straight up(assuming he was in another division)

247....don't worry about ST numbers....Wright had an ERA in the 8s or so last year....and it ended up in the low 5's(not that that is good....but it's better than 8) Don't take these ST numbers to heart....that's not what the team will do during the year.

This is from the White Sox team report, from the Sporting News. link There is other stuff as well....just thought I should point that out

Atleast we're not Cubs fans

As stated above....the Glover deal was totally different and seperate from the Wells deal. In the Wells deal, we got what doub showed you....in the Glover deal, it was Glover for Eyre....Eyre is now out of the Blue Jays organization.
-
Not good....that means we will see atleast 2 months of Santana....and probably more after that. That kid is gonna be one hell of a pitcher someday.
-
Didn't need to hear that. The one thing that grosses the hell out of me the most is reading talk on STDs....that's just sick. I can't stand it....crabs, whatever the hell this thing is you guys are talking about(penial discharge or whatever)...the worst I've seen pictures of is cauliflower penis....yuck.

s***...I wish I could get some of Britney's ass...I'd toss her salad as long as she wanted me too. She may not be much of a singer....but she'd look f***ing fine in a skin tight, very small, bikini. Her tits might even pop out now and then.... ..... ..... ..... ..... ...damn. I wish I was Fred Durst

Hey, I'm not saying he has gotten a girl to drop her pants or anything like that....I'm saying he doesn't have sex like it's job...and I think he'd agree. I wouldn't mind getting some T&A though....that'd be nice(for the record....I haven't had a "girlfriend" in about 2-and-a-half years....ouch...and it's not like I'm an ugly kid....a homecoming candiate for our school this year said that I would be hot when I got older....she's a senior and I'm a freshman...so that's why she said when I got older). I really need to get a girl. BTW....killa....you were sexually active at 14? Meaning you got pussy at 14?

Our guys should pitch better....but I don't put much on ST games....we were terrible W-L wise in ST last year...and we were mediocre in the regular season(and we came out of the gates real well). And this isn't even our full lineup either....we don't have Jimenez or Valentin or Konerko or Lee....can't remember everyone. With our full lineup...we could be a dominant offense. I do hope one thing though...I hope Thomas starts complimenting every pitcher he can think of and calls them a pitcher that will be great with good stuff(like he did Mark Prior last year)....we all know what happened in that matchup last year.
-
I'd say their rotation is strong....aside from Milton atleast. And if you're a Twin fan, then you are happier with Santana in the rotation than Milton....Milton blows....but Santana is f***in awesome....he scares the hell out of me. He could be the Twins ace by mid-season....he's got some nasty s***. Radke and Mays are decent....and Lohse will be a good pitcher over time. Reed is older than dirt...and I expect him to have an ERA over 4.00....he can't keep it up. I also look for Guardado and Hawkins to come down to earth a little as well. Fetters and Fiore aren't that good, and I don't know who they are going to use for their 6th bullpen spot....but Romero is a mean mofo. He is also pretty damn good and will be closing by the end of May....cuz Guardado will not have his spot as closer much longer(especially if we rock the s*** out of him at the end of April)

It's Arizona....that air is thinner than hell

CW45.....I'm also looking for that. Watch for either a trade, him to be put on waivers and then sent to the minors or him given his outright release altogether. I'm personally looking at the second one....and then if Daubach, Konerko, Maggs or Lee goes down for an extended period of time, look for Rios to come up. If Rios is gone....I'd look for Borchard to come up in that situation. I am seeing a bench of Daubach, Alomar, Graffy, Harris and then the most versatile guy that is in ST....a guy that can play almost all infield positions and almost all outfield positions....like a Denny Hocking type. If Josh Paul or Jamie Burke can be like that....then we will have our guy....especially since they can play catcher. Also....CW45....welcome aboard. This board kicks ass(and yes, you can use those types of words....no damn censor like stupid ass MLB boards....you can't say hell anymore...that pisses me off)!!!
-
Yes, I tied him up and gave him a good talking to. He says he WILL be fine this year and produce like no other season. You shall thank me for this after he hits the game-winning homer in Game Seven of the World Series this year, and then I'll be bringing this post back up to be resurfaced! After that incident....you are still a virgin, right Heather?

I heard a story once on Mickey Mantle.....Mantle was drunk as hell one day at the park. The manager talked to him and said "You better as hell go up there and hit a home run." So Mantle walks up to the plate, drunk as hell, sees a pitch, connects, hits it out, runs around the bases and gets back to the dugout(like any guy would for any ordinary homer). He went over to the manager and puked his guts out on the managers lap!

Sweet s***

You're right....today just isn't any game. It is a ST game....meaning it means very little if anything at all....the most it means is that guys are getting ready for the season or are trying to make the big league team. Simple as that. LuvSox....last time I checked...only one. But I'll have to check my sources again

Rios went deep?

I hope, pitching wise, that only Garland keeps getting those kinds of results
