Hey, I forgot about zach....he could be a good bullpen pitcher for us. Let's hope his contract doesn't get to fat and he can be a good hitter/pitcher for us....and isn't Miguel the spanish name for Michael? They seem too much a like....anyways we tried to get Michael Jordan once...and he sucked. Maybe we can just start calling Jon Rauch Mike...Mike Rauch....that doesn't sound too bad. Works for me.

Even without the s***ty base coaches....because according to baggs(and I believe him), Pettis told him to watch out for the pitcher, because he had a great move....Carlos took a few steps off....and was caught off base with Randall Simon holding the ball in his glove. We'd have to call JB from Royals came though....that'd take him a couple hours to get to Arizona....you'd have to wait....or you could find a substitute for him.

Our offense is fine....I'd rather see an article that says Lee is willing to give up his game defensively to become a stud on defense. As long as he isn't a dumbass on the bases as much....I'm fine with it. What are the odds of him NOT being a dumbass on the bases atleast once this year? I do like having 6 guys being able to go deep 30 times with 4 of them being possible 35-40 homer guys.

Oh, to get back to the mood.....HSC, are you sure you can handle 4 guys?

That'd be the s*** to have Kris posting here(not that it isn't the s*** having you post here Jim....we all love you!) but we'd have 2 Sox prospects posting on here(with one of them potentially being the #1 in a few years...and one being a great guy with the fans, that being you Jim). Here's wishing you both to be the Sox 1-2 punch in the future....on a World Series team. I won't say who's 1 and who's 2....because that'd be showing a favorite. Jose is corgie's boy....and he has brought up this stat on the MLB board as well. In fact, after putting Jose in after Choice was benched for the rest of the year and then released, we went on like a 4 or 5 game win streak....trying to make us respectable. Then the strike date announcement came up....and the Sox played like s*** after that. Jose and the Sox were apparently looking to make 1 last attempt at the division...and felt it was ruined by the possible strike. This team plays with the emotion Jose takes to the SS position. If he is happy....watch out

The Twins are telling the Sox to shutup? Isn't that kind of like telling a deaf person to shutup? The Sox have really had 1 player make 1 somewhat negative comment (along with a shot at Pierzynski)towards the Twins....Koch said they were lucky(and he and Koch aren't the greatest of friends....so that's expected)....yet the Twins are getting defensive, like we are making comments and trash talking all over the place. I hope I'm not the first to tell you....but great acquisitions and good teams speak for themselves....no wonder why the Twins are telling us to shutup(what this obviously means is they want us to stop getting better. I don't think the Sox will choose to do that)

Abso-f*ckin'-lutely. If Garland keeps his ERA under 3.80-4.00, we run away with the division. Unless the Twins self-destruct, we aren't running away with anything. If the Sox hang in there to win it, it will be a long tough battle. Have you seen the way the Twins have reacted this postseason? This winning has gotten to their head....like it did to us after 2000. I feel we will already win the division by atleast 5 games....and if Garland and/or Wright steps up.....we do run away with the division. And if it is the case of Garland and Wright....we are a 100 win team....easily. We could win 110 games for cryin out loud. And if Rauch puts up solid numbers out of the #5 spot(10-12 wins, 4.50 ERA, 150-200 innings), we are probably the best team in the majors...because we would have the most complete team in the majors. If both Wright and Garland pitch well....we win the division by ATLEAST 15 games....if not more.

Actually, if you want to drop Hoffman....get either a good closer(which is probably something you won't do), get Jay Witasick(who will be taking over the Pads closing duties atleast for a little bit) or get a guy like JC Romero. Also, don't be so confident with LaTroy Hawkins....I do not look for either him or Guardado to repeat last year's performances.

He's on Around the Horn on ESPN....4:00 central time. Sometimes it's fun...but PTI is a much, much better show. They cover more issues, more intelligent conversations...etc. I like it a hell of a lot more.

Atleast Rowand isn't an idiot....Lee could have died if he were doing that....but he's probably too stupid to even figure out how a car works. I think Rowand is rather intelligent and will make smart and aggressive plays for us. Rowand will hit .270 15 60 or so with good defense, a few sac bunts, a few bunt hits, and a few SBs....Rowand's a hell of a player....and ever team should have atleast 1 Aaron Rowand.

Rex....I understand that. All I was saying that it is not true in those instances....a good addition by subtraction is the Rangers getting rid of Clayton in the 2001 offseason, or a good addition by subtraction for us was also getting rid of Clayton. We get better by getting rid of him....adding wins while subtracting players. Addition by subtraction. That's how I view addition by subtraction anyways. I see the Mariners situation as damn lucky....not addition by subtraction.
