Hey...I don't wanna register(cuz I'm a lazy-ass). Someone wanna post the article?
-
They say fielding never slumps. I guess they didn't know who Ray Durham was when they said that!
-
Must have been Sirotka, Simmons and Beirne for Wells....but didn't Simmons return to Toronto because of the shouldergate scandal? I can't remember that far back....then again, I didn't really follow the trading and such back then as closely either.
-
Especially considering we still have Glover and he has pitched decent for us....the Blue Jays have already gotten rid of Scott Eyre. The Glover-Eyre deal already favors us...and will favor us more in the future. Glover is a pretty good pitcher.....and will only get better.
-
He knows very little if anything about baseball....he's worse than Peter Gammons

I try to work around it as best as I can....when I see questions with an exclamation point at the end, or exclamation points at the end of every sentence(and at times numerous exclamation points....3 usually), then I know to ignore those kinds of posters....ones that don't get anything close to correct grammar or you can't make out anything that they are trying to say. Keaddy, wilburaga, CSJ, Sox2K3, badabob, corg(though he posts here too)....others I'm not thinking of probably too. Oh....who the hell can forget BigFrank?
-
Hey don't worry about that....and don't ever believe a word roman is saying about f***ing a girl's brain in. Not until he's 17 or 18 or so. And then use what you feel is probably right.

I was watchig Conan O'Brien one night....he was doing 4 little pictures with the last one being humorous....anyways, he had one with a large tomato, two tomatoes, two balloons, and Pamela Anderson's rack....and his punchline... "Things that don't resemble real breasts." And then he tore off Anderson's side and rubbed it on himself....kind of like a person that is obsessed.

Twins fans....atleast some Cubs fans have the nuts to admit they aren't that good

BASEBALL! AH....I love it when games start

nobody could say manuel wasnt patient enough with clayton or lee ..why he was so quick to dismiss foulke when he accomplished more in his little pinky then those guys put together is beyond me...i thin kthat one came from above... i think for jerry to really get the respect of his players he will have to stand to KW next time KW makes a move he disagrees with...players need to see thats its manuel and not KW that run this team Baggs you know what's ironic about him being patient with Lee and Clayton but NOT Foulke? Clayton and Lee are both KW boys.....Foulke is obviously not(considering he is in Oakland now). Yet again...HSC is right(IMO anyways)....corg has also said that before
-
Sorry to burst your bubble cw....but that would be anyone who can hit over Clayton's average for the first two months of the year(being Clayton's average as well) is off the team....meaning if your average isn't over .200 after May....you're gone

Jeff Pearlman, a writer for CNNSI, had this to say about the White Sox chances for this year(or rather the Twins chances at winning the division). How stupid is this guy? He says we have 2 open rotations spots, a mediocre DH and a bad 2Bman.....yet fails to recognize the Twins problems(the fact that Milton's knee is about to fall off and Mays just had surgery again this offseason). He also fails to realize that the White Sox ALSO have 4 pitchers capable of winning 15 games(Colon, Buehrle, Wright, and Garland)....and we have a better bullpen on paper, a better offense and are also tons of fun to watch(or the Twins aren't...it depends on what you like to watch). I believe this guy was hired to be funny....but there is no shot at humor in this post. Just the fact that he is a f***in douchebag.

He's got some tough competition for homers and RBIs in ARod....but he could blow everyone away in average if he has a real good year. I could potentially see Maggs hitting .350 or .360.....he's that friggin good. If he can hit 50 homers and drive in 160....that'd be incredible. Sometime in July or August.....after all the hype in Chicago is on the Cubs and their 'potential' NL Central crown(when in reality during that time they will be 4 games over .500....don't shoot me down.....I don't think they'll finish much over .500 if over .500 at all....but they do have a ton of talent)....some big sportswriter(named something other than Jay Mariotti.....hopefully Jayson Stark....the only ESPN writer other than Rob Neyer that is any good....or maybe Rob Neyer too....Tom Verducci....etc) will finally take a close look at Maggs's numbers....and realize what a great ballplayer he is. It's incredible. Maggs consistently hits about .310 30 110....and this past year hit .320 38 135....and he could put up a season like .335 45 150 this year....and yet, no one would notice. Sad Magglio Ordonez will be the type of player Frank Thomas or Ken Griffey Jr or Barry Bonds was in their primes....THE hitters in the major leagues...the guys kids pretend to be on the sandlot. And the great thing is....he doesn't say a word(usually). He just goes about buisness and hits the crap out of the ball. Maggs will be the middle of the order guy in Chicago for quite a while....atleast 5 more years....and hopefully more like 10. If the Sox signed him to a 10-year deal after 2004....with him earning about the same each year....that'd be great.
-
What about Ray-Ray? He's like 5'8'' or 5'10''...that's pretty damn short too. I could see Miles being very Eckstein-ish.....and I know how much Hawk loves Eckstein. If we could have our own version of him....that'd be one more comparison to the Angels of last year.
-
If anyone signs Finley, aside from St. Louis, I'd expect it to be San Diego....either San Diego, Anaheim or LA....someone from SoCal.

f*** Tori!!!!!!!!! He's a mutt! Yeah, it's not cool to wish a broken leg on someone, but he's a cocky asshole and is always taunting. Remeber this was the same assshole that threw back at a pitcher? I thought it was funny, but you have to be a real asshole and a baby to even do that. f*** him. I hope he has a compound fracture. While we're on the topic of wishing injury on others I don't want anyone on the Twins to get injured...because then they'll have the excuse that they had injuries when we beat the s*** out of them this year(like we did in 01)....anyways....if I did wish injury on one of them....it would be a Koch fastball right in the ribs of Hunter....see him throw it back at Koch. I guarantee it if he did....he would get it right back from Koch. Then he can hit that asscock Pierzynski in the ribs too....if Pierzynski charged the mound....I'd laugh my ass off. It's not everyday you see a 230 pound catcher get the s*** kicked out of him by a 190 pound closer....but I could see Koch kicking the s*** out of Pierzynski. Koch looks like a tough mofo

First of all....I'm happy with any constant that we have at the manager's position....I'd rather have 1 s***ty manager for 5 years rather than firing and hiring and firing and hiring managers all the time...with that process, you will never be successful. You'll never get a plan going and the team will always be unsuccessful. However....Manuel is not a good manager....in fact, he's probably a less then mediocre manager compared to others in the league. He isn't firey, he tinkers with the lineup/pitching staff, he can't make the right decision on when to pull a pitcher or not....he could use a little more help. However....if you give even a bad manager enough talent....you will win. If we had a Mike Scoscia or a Lou Piniella or an Art Howe or hell, even a Tom Kelly or a Ron Gardenhire....we'd have won more than we would have with Manuel at the helm. We will win this year...even with Manuel as a manager. A little trivia for you....who are the only two managers in the AL to have NOT been hired in the 00s but rather in the 90s? Not that hard of a question....but I'll throw it out there anyways

That and he had a foot problem as well. Wen healthy....he is a stud. However, his degenerative hip thing sucks for him. I didn't believe it when HSC said a few months back that if your hip is bad, your feet will probably be bad as well. This past week, my knee has hurt like hell....and along with it, my foot has slightly too. The knee is way different from the hip....but it just goes to show that HSC knows her s***.

Guys...he's considering it. Not saying Carlos is going to bat second....saying he is considering it. Like he considered many, many other things before in the past. Jerry is a tinkerer. Anyways...if you want a reason why he shouldn't....then I'll give you one. CLee may be able to hit from the #2 spot....but Jose won't hit well anywhere else. If he batted from the #2 spot(like he normally does), he will see a steady stream of fastballs, assuming Frank is being the dangerous hitter he has been in the past. If so....Jose will probably hit .275 25 90 or so....just like in 2000. Batting anywhere else....he won't get those fastballs...and will hit about .245 25 65....and Carlos will hit the same from either spot, because he is a more talented hitter than Jose is. I'd much rather Jose batting in the second slot than I would Lee....for the reason above. cw....I was just talking about the bases. Even with him improving with the glove....he still isn't good....and he doesn't have much of an arm. I'd rather have Daubach out there....though he may be the same defensively, he IS left-handed....something we need in the lineup almost desperately. I believe KW will realize this at the deadline and he'll have to make a move to either open up a spot for Borchard/Daubach or he'll have to trade for some lefty power(ie, Carlos Beltran). I could see him trading Lee, Rowand and Stewart, along with cash and possibly another minor leaguer, for Beltran and some diamond in the rough guy....we get Beltran in CF and Daubach/Borchard in LF....which adds two lefty bats to the lineup on any given day. That's July though....we're still in February....and I'll stick by my prediction that CLee will be dealt at the deadline.
-
If it isn't true(which is what I've seen on this thread apparently)....that is a good thing. As I said before in another thread....I want the Twins to be at full strength when we kick the s*** out of them this year.
-
I have a Yahoo id...so it is real easy for me. As long as I am signed in...I can do anything that's free on Yahoo. If you want a fantasy team on Yahoo....I'd suggest just getting an ID. It's not that hard to figure out....even for someone who is computer dumb. It's pretty straight forward...and you could probably bulls*** your way through the whole thing anyways. Anyways....yeah, that'd be a better idea...and is cheaper too. I'd be for it. Then again, I'm for any way we can get a keeper league started!
-
For some of us(cough*OldRoman*cough) sex is a fantasy!
-
HSC.....that's a pretty good idea. And it would cost way less. Probably more work...but less money.

lets call em all mike... works for me... just as long as they all dont start sucking like mike did when he was on the team..... the boy cant play baseball as effectivly as he could basktetball........... ...... mike rauch...mike ginter, mike wright, mike colon, mike crede, mike valentin, mike konerko, mike ordonez, mike rowand, mike lee, mike olivo, mike thomas, mike buehrle, mike cooper, mike manuel.. hey it all works for me.........the team of mikes............. THE CHICAGO MIKE SOX............... Don't forget Mike Graffanino or Mike Daubach....jeez...we'd be the team with the most Mike's ever. That's a lot of Mike's.....I don't know any team that has ever had that many Mikes.
