  1. I'm 7th. Where the hell is my damn cookie?
  2. I whacked the salami 3 times one day...and it was yelling at me for 2 straight days. Normally, it is just once a day that I whack off at most. But why would such a sex machine like roman need to jerkoff?
  3. lol yea it worked for them.. look at what guys like griff and pay rod have done since their departure.........absoultely nothing.........lol..........addition by subtraction always works out well......... HSC...Griffey hit 40 homers a year after his departure from Seattle, got hurt, and hasn't played fulltime since. However, ARod hit .318 52 135 with 18 SBs in 2001 and hit .300 57 142 with 9 SBs this past year....those are some pretty good stats. Not worth $25 mill a year....but maybe $15 mill....especially considering he is a SS that plays rock solid defense(280 put outs, 452 assists, 118 DPs turned and 18 errors in 01; 259 put outs, 472 assists, 108 DPs turned and 10 errors in 02). Arod just has very little around him in Texas(which IS partly due to his huge salary). That's the big reason why Texas has been unsuccessful
  4. One reason he could be released.... He makes $500,000 a year....that is less than many guys(but not Buehrle - :fyou KW) He won't be released....at the very least, he'll be traded for a need(a backup catcher probably)....he won't be with us much longer...with Sanders, Munoz, Malone, Stewart, Bullard, Ring etc...all capable of pitching in the bullpen in the big league out of the bullpen, we really don't have a big need for Wunsch or even for that matter Marte....though I'd rather keep Marte. Most of those guys are starters or are being converted into a starter(Munoz, Malone, Stewart, Bullard, Ring are all starters or being converted into starters). If he does well for us this year, great for us....if not, oh well. I don't envision him being with us for that much longer.
  5. He's gonna hit .330 40 130....and the media will still say something bad about him. If he hit .330 40 130 and Maggs hit .330 40 130....who in the hell do you give the MVP to? (and don't tell me Jason Giambi or something like that )
  6. Hey, I got others too...I know I got Crede....and Jose Cruz too. Just found out today that Cruz will be hitting in front of Bonds....that is awesome. He's gonna have like a .280 35 120 type year now with 30 SBs....well, I hope he does anyways! And then I got a decent staff too(except f***in Hoffman....s***, I might have to drop him....as long as Guardado loses his job in like April....maybe the Sox can do that for me! Have the Twins take a lead into the 9th 3 straight games in April...and then have the Sox come back and win all 3 )
  7. baggs....why do you think I was happy with getting Piazza AND Kent this year? They're like the two biggest power hitters at their positions
  8. Dammit I still can't get over this. I want to slap him in the face and teach him to just shut the hell up. Jeezus he is arrogant.
  9. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and predict that the Yankees will win the AL East. Call it a hunch..... WOW! The Yankees; what are you crazy?! It's definetley gonna be the Devil Rays this year ! Haha. That's gonna happen like the Brewers are going to win the Nl Central ! Hey, the Brewers got Clayton and Ritchie....we all know how Ritchie is a great pitcher, and though Clayton knows the Brewers aren't going to the World Series, he's going to break his back trying.
  10. Click on show all to the right....and you'll get all the icons. B) :puke See?
  11. Jon Rauch has pitched like 10 games in the majors....he has not been a bust. He was the 2000 minor league player of the year. He has incredible stuff and now has a real pitching coach to help him. He is young and undeveloped. Jon Rauch is not a bust.
  12. i colon pulls a todd im pushing kw and colon off the sears tower.... there is no way we should have to be subjected to a crappy pitcher aquired by kw two seasons in a row.......lol.... and im going to have jr at the bottom trying to catch them both.. may as well take care of all of the problems at once huh........... If Colon pulls a Ritchie there is no one the Sox can blame other then the team. Kw can't pitch for him. I believe the pieces are there, now we have to see what develops. I do hope that if the Sox need one more guy at the deadline, then they go out and do what they can to get him. Luckily with our minor league system and some players near ready, the Sox could get better without having to make a trade. Jas....I'm sure we could get better without trading....if we need another starter, we got Heredia, Loaiza, Stewart and Malone in the minors....not that great, but you wouldn't get great pitchers at the deadline either(or normally you don't). We have bats for off the bench....Borchard is a stud, and we got lesser ones like Holt and Miles....etc. The only thing we would need is some catching help...and I don't think we will need that even. We atleast won't need to trade for it anyways.
  13. Third time's the charm....or that's what they always say. I'm not worried....Colon is going to be awesome.
  14. What'd he get, like $5 mill for the fight? If I got $5 mill to fight....I wouldn't mind the ass-whoopin...and I'd be nice to everyone too. s***, I'd do that for $10,000. I can't wait till Tyson fights Lewis again....he's gonna get the s*** kicked out of him AGAIN.
  15. No one talked about Person going to Boston...and frankly, it doesn't bother me all that much. I bet he cracks their rotation though....they got Pedro, Lowe, Fossum and Wakefield....and I believe the way it looks right now, it would either be Frank Castillo(ack, former flubby fannie that sucks ass) or someone else(maybe like Willie Banks....scary as hell)....I bet he does win the #5 spot in Boston's rotation. Boston is going to be real good this year. I hope it is good enough to beat the Yankees.
  16. i colon pulls a todd im pushing kw and colon off the sears tower.... there is no way we should have to be subjected to a crappy pitcher aquired by kw two seasons in a row.......lol.... and im going to have jr at the bottom trying to catch them both.. may as well take care of all of the problems at once huh........... HSC....that'd be 3 years in a row he would have done that, not 2....Wells, Ritchie and what would be Colon.
  17. I read about half the article...and stopped. Expect Moronotti to rip him to shreds the next time he writes an article. Thomas made himself out to be a god....saying they shouldn't treat me like this, after all I've done...which they shouldn't, and he's right. However, he shouldn't go public with that kind of stuff....it will make him look like a selfish player. I still think he would have been better saying "I'm going to rip the f***ing cover off the ball" and leaving.
  18. cw....I've heard how you pissed that guy off...but never a story. I understand that it was because of the Buehrle incident....but could you explain what actually happened? I wanna hear it. And make it extra juicy too
  19. According to ESPN....McKay signed with the Phillies. link Don't remember much about him though
  20. They won the division because of their great bullpen....and because it was overworked during the year, it was ailing at the end and during the postseason. Their starting pitching was no where to be found in the ALCS(aside from Mays in game 1), their bullpen sucked, and their offense sucked. That's why they got their asses handed to them in the ALCS by the Angels. They got damn lucky against Oakland....Oakland outplayed them in that series....but the damn inflateable balloon-type thing that they call a stadium really affected Oakland. That thing is the devil. They are a great fundamental team and have great defense....I haven't forgotten that. I also haven't forgotten that Lee is probably the worst player on the Sox when it comes to fundamentals and solid defense....which is a big reason I want to get rid of Lee. However, even with us being bad fundamentally, even with Lee in the lineup, and even with the cancers of Lofton and Clayton, even with the automatic out of MJ, even with Thomas having the worst year of his career....we managed to score about 850 runs and about 100 more runs than the Twins. When you improve that many things to an offense that is also ailing, (to a point of course - you can't say that an offense that scored 850 runs sucked) it is going to improve....I'll take a lineup that has Rowand, Crede, Olivo, Valentin at SS and an improved Thomas(which he was in September) over a lineup that has Lofton, Clayton, Valentin at 3B, MJ and a sucky Thomas(which he was from April-to-August) and I'd assume that the former would score atleast 50 more runs than the latter and with the improved defense as well(because I know I'd rather have Valentin at SS defensively than Choice, and Crede at 3B instead of Valentin, and most likely Rowand, who has decent range and a pretty good arm in CF over Lofton who has good but misguided range and a crappy arm any day....MJ and Olivo are both good defensively)....which will save around 25-50 runs during the year and probably an improved pitching staff to go along with it and I know that would bring the number to 50 atleast....Cooper alone would have done that with his coaching. That is a swing of about 100 runs....if you could take away 1 run from any game at random....and give it to us....how many more games do you think we would have won? Hell, you could even include the Angles 19-0 blowout in there as well....we would have lost the game 18-1....it doesn't matter. I'd guess atleast 10....and that doesn't include the fact that there would be games where we would give up less than 1 fewer run...and games where we would score more than just that 1 run....and games where nothing would happen, and games where we would actually give up more and then not score enough. This probably isn't right....but I assume you get the picture atleast. Also...I think Garland, Wright and #5 will be fine....Cooper is a very good pitching coach and he's been with our minor leaguers before...and I believe Garland, Wright and either Rauch or Stewart(dependant upon who gets the job....I'm not including Heredia or Loaiza because they weren't in our minor league system) and they will be decent just because of that.
  21. We could have won the division this year WITHOUT Colon.....easily. The Twins, in 2001, had a very good starting rotation(I'd say it was easily a top 5 in the AL....undoubtedly the best in the AL Central, and was beaten by really only the M's, Yanks, A's and possibly the Red Sox and/or Indians)...their offense had some pretty big hitters in it(Guzman had a great first half, but was hurt in the second half, Rivas had an excellent rookie season, Mientkiewicz hit .300 with decent power, Koskie had pretty good power and drove in over 100, Hunter finally broke out into a great player and was a two way threat offensively(with power and speed), and Lawton was pretty good in RF)....however, their bullpen sucked ass. Hawkins was closing....had an ERA near 6 and a WHIP near 2....Todd Ritchie-esque numbers out of your closer ain't good. Guardado was their lefty, and he had a decent year...Hector Carrasco and Bob Wells had years terrible years, and I believe Jack Cressend was also in their pen....can't remember the 6th guy off the top of my head, but I'm almost 100% sure he didn't have a stellar year. This Twins team, with an absolutely terrible bullpen, won 85 games, came 6 short of winning the division, and completely destroyed us as a team. The Twins, in 2002, had a decent starting rotation....basically a patchwork quilt, with the only starter that was healthy all year being Kyle Lohse....otherwise, every other starter that was in the rotation out of ST was on the DL at one time or another during the year(with both Mays and Radke missing atleast a month, and probably more....that kind of stuff doesn't register with me off the top of my head). Their offense had a down year as a whole....while Jones and the RF combo of Bobby Kielty and Dustan Mohr stepped up and played a huge role in their offenses large success(as well as Pierzynski), their offense had a regression. Rivas was out with a broken wrist for much of the first-half of the year, Guzman hit like .260 with 10 homers and about 20 walks, Mientkiewicz hit .260 with 10 homers or so as well, though he did have a good OBP, ....etc etc etc....you get the drill. However, their bullpen was incredibly good....Guardado had an incredibly good year closing, Hawkins had an incredible year as a setup guy, as did Romero....Jackson had an incredible year in the time he was pitching....Tony Fiore had an incredible year with his palm ball, Santana had an awesome year....everyone in their bullpen had a great year. With a mediocre offense, a mediocre rotation and one of the best bullpens in the majors, they won 94 games....and beat us quite easily 11-8 in the season series. If you want me to draw up a comparison of this for you.....the Sox offense was their key to success in 2000, with several guys having career years or breaking out of their shell up to that point in time(Valentin, Perry, Lee, Ordonez, Konerko....as well as others probably), and Thomas had his best year ever for an entire season of 162 games(though his 1994 season would have been MUCH better)....the Twins bullpen was their key to success in 2002 with several guys having career years or breaking out of their shell up to that point in time(Guardado, Hawkins, Romero, Fiore, Santana and to an extent, Jackson)....and I think the only guys that really broke out of their shell were Romero and Santana....because those two are very good pitchers with some nasty-ass stuff. I don't see much out of Fiore, Guardado and Hawkins(other than the fact that Hawkins can hit 97 occasionally on the gun....though it is a straight pitch. He's got to have other pitches, considering he was a starter at one point in his career...in fact, he started the game that Wells threw his perfect game...I'm not convinced about him though....all you have to do is look at the years before that)....they brought in Fetters who is going to hurt his neck sometime with his little head-jerk to the plate. If their bullpen can repeat its incredible success from last year, then they can compete and make it a great race...I personally don't see a lot of guys having the good years they had, and I don't see the Twins even coming close to competing....IM(somewhat biased)O, we would have won the division by about 10 games without Colon, Gordon, White, and Koch....we could have taken the team we had in September and beaten the s*** out of the Twins...because their bullpen would not have repeated its success from last year...or atleast that's what I believe.
  22. I KNOW THEY'RE BOTH GOING TO STINK..... although, I suspect, Todd Ritchie's numbers will be better than they were in 2002 simply because they can't really get much worse. He'll still suck though. Could you imagine if Ritchie's numbers actually did get worse? OUCH! Also....I bet he got more wins this past year with us than he will in Milwaukee
  23. HSC....that was KW from last year and the year before....he has learned, and is making himself out to be a capable, yet still a stupid, GM....he needs to quit toying around with Buehrle and he needs to get rid of Lee come mid-season, or at the very least after this year. I think he is a big part of the bad chemsitry....him killing rallies on the bases for the offense and helping to start rallies on defense for the opposing team hurt us....but he does have a good bat. We have enough good bats as it is....we need some lefty-power....something Rios/Daubach/Borchard could do for us from the LF spot. However, from watching the Twins win the past two years with some not so great talent, he has learned that great team chemistry, which is something the Twins did have, is exactly what it takes sometimes. I assume he realizes that the theory has been tested....by the Twins, and he's taking notes. The only guys that have a shot at causing trouble at all in the clubhouse both make less than $1 mill(Rios and Gordon)....if needed, he can just give them their outright release. He got rid of K-layton and Lofton, two of the biggest cancers on the team, last year and replaced them with Jose(who was replaced at 3B by Crede) and Rowand in CF. During the offseason, he got rid of Liefer, giving him his chance to start(making him as well as others on the team right now happy...I know for a fact that Konerko is happy) and Ritchie....Liefer is replaced by a guy that busts his ass wherever he plays and hits very well in Brian Daubach, and he replaced Ritchie with Bartolo Colon(who is damn good). All these guys that he brought in do nothing to take away from team chemistry.
