I was merely looking at it from the organization's point of view, and how, even as terrible as he was, Podsednik was a much better investment than Pierre.

Why has Gabe Gross never been given a chance to start? His numbers - even with hitting .230 this year - are pretty solid all around. So what gives? This is also why I kind of wish the Sox were rebuilding next year so they could take a chance on a guy like Gross.
