  1. MLB Network has definitely become my go to channel when nothing else is on, and I'm constantly flipping to it during commercial breaks of games I watch.
  2. CREDE CREDE CREDE. There enough, I said it enough for the rest of you. From now on, it's FIELDS FIELDS FIELDS~!
  3. QUOTE (kane0730 @ Apr 7, 2009 -> 04:46 PM) Fun stat of the game: The Sox are undefeated when Wise K's 3 times in a game. That's great, I put it into my Facebook status to share with my internet social scene.
  4. Fields and Q are like bros though, so like the good vibes will create a synergy between the two that ~SHOCKS~! the AL Central and fuses the two or something cool like that.
  5. I'm 1000x more pumped about the season now that Opening Day has been played. It's 4 real now d00dz. Anyhow, great game. Great win. Great most everything but lead-off hitter man. I felt bad for him with the crowd booing, but that's how I felt on the couch too.
  6. BIG JIM GETZ RICHARD FIELDS JENKS Aw f*** it, WHITE SOX !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. WE LOVE THOME (WE HATE WISE) WE LOVE THOME (WE HATE WISE) (duel chant TNA fan style)
  8. Allright A.J., enough trying to be "smart" on the base-paths. I'm tired of seeing that s***, it's been going on since last season after you got that call against the Rays. Ut oh. Dotel.... Remember guys, the Red Sox lost to Meche Opening Day 07 and went on to win the World Series; and the Sox lost Opening Day last year and went on to win the division.... f*** THAT LET'S WIN!
  9. Haven't been following this game thread much; but so far my dookies are Fields, Thome, Getz and Richard.
  10. I'm cracking a JOOSE now before the game begins, then I've got some beers. Tuesday afternoon drinking woooo. All for a good cause, let's take it to Gil!
  11. Cliff Lee just took a line drive in the left elbow... but is staying in the game for now
  12. Damn it. I took off Monday afternoon for opening day. At least Tuesday I just have class so I'll only miss the first 3 innings or so, hopefully. It'd be nice if the MLB.tv DVR thing lets me start it from the beginning without accidentally seeing the score, but I'm not sure it will be that easy.
  13. I've always felt a little guilty for shouting MVP a few times the at-bat he punched his bat.
  14. Charlotte is in town here for 4 games at the end of May, hope I get to see some Viciedo action.
  15. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Mar 17, 2009 -> 03:28 PM) If Wise winds up struggling at the top of the order and Getz is doing well at the bottom, I don't think it'll take Ozzie long to start making switches. At least last year he was far less stubborn with lineup slots than I thought he'd be. It took him all of a couple weeks in April to move that Quentin guy up to 3rd, AJ up to 2nd, Cabrera up to 1st, and Swisher down in the order when Swisher wasn't hitting and TCQ was. Actually the change didn't happen til the first week of May. Quentin was still low in the order when I saw a game in Toronto the first weekend in May. I think the change may have happened the next day, actually (a day after the blow up dolls incident).
  16. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Mar 2, 2009 -> 04:55 PM) The count looked really good to me in the game he got hurt in last season, so I am taking that as a positive moving forward. I think him as the #4 makes this rotation alot better. This. I remember before coming back for that game (it was his first start back from some other injury IIRC) there was a buncha quotes from how excited everyone was because he was looking great in his rehab assignments. And then he was tearing it up that game. Man, I shared his frustration when he just pounded the ground in after the injury. He was also pretty effective early in the season, posting a 2.09 in May. I saw him pitch in Toronto early that month, he pitched the the full game although it was a L 4-3 against Halladay. I'm stoked if he's healthy and ready to go, but I really hope he's not rushing.
  17. I'm definitely going to try and catch at least one in Cinci, maybe both Saturday and Sunday if I have the finances.
  18. I'm pumped the first live feed of the year is at a time I can watch. It was nice of MLB.tv to actually lower their subscription price this year while still adding more stuff, such as DVR functionality to live games. That will come in handy during the season.
  19. Awesome! Guess I'm a bit overdue on changing from the October ALCS wallpaper. Thanks, sir.
  20. Shoeless Joe, Ozzie, Frank, and Buehrle. Much too modern for a definitive list, but as a young fan that'd be my Rushmore.
  21. QUOTE (knightni @ Jan 18, 2009 -> 11:14 PM) This was my original, although in black and white. Was someone else rocking the color version?
