I hope we do this.....the guy was a beast when pitching in the 7th and 8th innings....I remember our team not being able to do anything against him all these years He is definitely better than Shingo and would help a lot in the playoffs

What can I say? The guy just flat out produces every single time.....he may have off days and give up 4 runs those times but he will always throw 7 innings minimum and only give up 0-3 runs ..... Another stellar outing by Mark... How many quality starts in a row does he have now?

What can I say ....this team will be there come post season To me, there are 3 important things that I care about now: a) Who do we get at trade deadline? B) Do we get the all time single season win-loss record? c) Do we win the World Series? If we do all three, I will die a happy man.....a very happy man

Why should you trade relievers just because they are dominant enough to be considered closers? Useless thread....nothing to see here folks A 7th inning is as important as a 8th inning which is as important as the 9th inning which is as important as the 1st inning in a game....all runs are EQUAL If you have 5 dominating relievers in the pen....that is great.....nothing wrong with that Should the Angels trade Donnelly or Shields since they have KRod? OR Minny should trade CRain since they have Nathan?

Jose will be fine. Again, the problem with Jose is the same as the problem with Garland (before this season). People have very high expectations from Jose based on his stuff. Maybe some day he will develop the consistency that goes with the stuff....but for now if fans would realize that Jose will have his bad days but still be good to pitch 6 to 7 innings >75% of the time he starts and not give up more than 3/4 runs in those starts, then we would all be fine. Lower your expectations of Jose and we will all be fine. The guy could easily have 6-8 wins if the O had delivered like they have delivered for Jon this year. He is doing an admirable job of burning through the innings and resting our BP. And he will have off days....that is ok.
