I would bench Rowand, start Frank at DH permanently, Kong at 1B, Pods at CF, Everett at LF and Dye in RF Rowand would relieve Carl or Dye every now and then and in that case he would play CF and let Pods go back to LF and Carl/Dye play RF then Anyone who says we should trade Frank has no clue, especially considering how injury prone Carl & Dye have been

Everett is much better as a LH batter than a RH batter Hence against lefty pitching, Dye should bat and against righty pitching Everett should bat. Simple.

The only feeling I have right now is that we will be in the playoffs. But I am very scared of bowing out again before the series after the 2000 experience. When it gets warm, will our pitching hold up? I know it will get cold again come playoff time which can only help. But I still think we need to really make one big upgrade at the AS break to really win it all. I would not touch the pitching (just add Count to the Bullpen come playoff time since we only need 4 pitchers anyways). But I would add one big bat and send someone out of Rowand or Uribe or Crede to the bench. While this guy has not been doing great yet this season, and he has obviously had big time injury issues in the past, I am intrugued by the thought of maybe adding Ken Griffey Jr at the deadline if he starts playing like his old self. A LH bat with power and fielding ability like his can be huge in the playoffs. That way Rowand goes to the bench and can play late in games as a RH bat off the bench too. Carl and Dye can split the RF position as and when required and Frank plays DH. This would help in NL parks too durign a Series with Ken's bat. I know people will say Griffey sucks now, but I think if he came to the right situation like ours and in our ball park, he could produce big time.

All I want is a series win.....sweep would be nice....not getting swept is a must. If we go 0.500 rest of the way we will be in the playoffs so that is all I care about

I would get Rivera....someone the Boss may dump since he is up in age. Yes he is old and has had some issues this year, but man if he gets it going in the playoffs, he is money as our closer. I would give them a mid level prospect for him, nothing more. Another player I would also look at for depth would be Tino Martinez in case Frank does not come back and Dye continues to stink. That way Carl plays RF and Tino plays 1B with Paulie at DH and vice versa.
