Seems as if you can strike out Viciedo up and in everytime once you get 2 strikes on him. And all of the sox talk regulars should be posting from the cellphones live from the cell IMO

QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Aug 11, 2010 -> 08:01 PM) Well, its a bit disappointing we can't sell out a game like this. And it's a bit disappointing all of Sox Talk must be in the fetal position not participating today- it's 3 AM where I am, what is the rest of this board's excuse??

QUOTE (Capn12 @ Aug 10, 2010 -> 06:56 PM) Thanks for those awesome 7 outs, Garcia! This is why I wish we had a true long guy and just started him this inning. Now they have a good possibility of scoring at least 1 and maybe 2 here and put down any momentum we may have gotten from CQ's homer -

I know we're going to march Freddy out there again but I wish we had a long guy in the pen that we can put out there to at least attempt to stay in this game. Perhaps Sale can go 3+? -

Freddy can only get away with this junk for so long. Quite frankly I am surprised he has- and the Twins are very patient. I have no idea who we have for the pen but this sets the stage for rough series, our pen will get drained today -

QUOTE (WilliamTell @ Aug 10, 2010 -> 06:29 PM) ok this team needs to bounce back right now. down 2-0 and we need a response. Let's hope it's just 2-0 after this inning. Twins showing us why organizationally they are head and shoulders above us, we don't value a guy like Thome and for them he has fit in well during Morneau's absence. We cannot touch them with a 30 foot pole in this category -

Sox @ Orioles - Floyd vs. Millwood
JohnCangelosi replied to Heads22's topic in 2010 Season in Review
If Bobby's p**sy hurts over this one he can go get lost. Really. He needs to be a pro on this. Not to mention I think Baltimore has owned him in his career (not looking at the stats now but I wouldn't be surprised if he has the most blown saves against this team and also the highest ERA). -
QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Aug 6, 2010 -> 06:44 PM) There are reasons behind it. When you're a #9 hitter with .302 OBP, opposing pitchers will go to sleep on you. Beckham's been feasting since getting out of a pressure filled spot I'd argue it has absolutely nothing to do with where he is batting in the order. His swing is finally starting to improve, and has consistently since a bit before the break. But obviously Ozzie is clueless and will still bat AJ and Kotsay ahead of him

QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Aug 6, 2010 -> 12:25 PM) If it were "Lefty one out" guy, then a lot of people, including KW, should be fired. No team in their right mind would ever draft a guy in the first round who they project to be a LOOGY in the long-run. I think the hope is he can develop into a starter, but if not, he should be a pretty damn good left-handed setup man. I wish Lance Broadway or Kyle McCullough were good enough to be ROOGYS

QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Aug 6, 2010 -> 12:04 PM) What are the Sox longterm plans for Sale? "Lefty one out" guy, reliever, starter? I think they'd love for him to be a starter and given the fact it appears he can throw 3 different pitches for strikes (from what I have heard) it seems he has enough to be a starter. Whether that plays out or not is anyone's guess by my understanding is they'd love for him to compete for a spot in the rotation next year...

QUOTE (knightni @ Aug 6, 2010 -> 04:59 AM) Rios has been scuffling lately. I think that teams are figuring out ways to get him out. Low and outside usually does it. He was bound to go through a slump this year. Let's just hope it doesn't last for long and he'll be back to himself again. And agreed, I think Ozzie should give him a day or two off to clear his mind and give him some rest.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 5, 2010 -> 02:21 PM) Play of the game by Alexei Ramirez. Cangelosi, you're in Hungary? Budapest? How is the economy there...? I thought about teaching in Brno, Czech Republic, but ended up here in Asia. You're teaching there, right? No, I have my own business, internet business, so I am fairly mobile...

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Aug 5, 2010 -> 02:05 PM) Now the problem is finding the RIGHT Ukrainian girl, lol. They're not the most romantic, very beautiful....but very very pragmatic. I won't say they're all gold diggers, but there are quite a few. Well, that's one of the facts of life in Eastern Europe with the economy struggling so mightily. Yes, and since I am not at all romantic, it works well with me. And agreed, so many of these Ukrainians are gold diggers but there are good ones to be had. The thing is the gold diggers are pretty transparent about it, so it's easy to spot them and move on...

QUOTE (iamshack @ Aug 5, 2010 -> 01:51 PM) Sorry for the 20 questions, but this is fascinating. What caused you to head out there in the first place? I moved out here with my ex fiancee, who had a job offer here after graduating from business school. When we split up I decided to stay and sample the local cuisine, if you will :-P
