This bullpen meltdown is ridiculous, we cannot bring anyone in there without them giving up a big HR, unreal -

QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Aug 21, 2010 -> 03:37 AM) So double header tonight, any word on who starts the second game? How does it affect our rotation schedule, should we worry? No word from what I can see. I hope that Freddy can go 6-7 strong in Game 1 otherwise it could be really devastating. This may be a good time to start Sale out there for 3-4 innings, then Pena for the same in game 2 if we cannot call anyone up. -
It's like all of these games play out to the same script ALL THE TIME in Minnesota. We threaten, blow opportunity after opportunity, they pull some defensive plays out of their ass, and their bullpen shuts us down. Please, I am looking to see another script tonight, cuz that one is so old and boring!

QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 15, 2010 -> 04:00 PM) HAHA! That was fun bad right there. What a disaster. Perfect way to go into Minnesota feeling this way about ourselves.

QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 15, 2010 -> 03:57 PM) Wow, that was pathetic by Jones. More BRUTAL managing by Ozzie! Seriously, where the heck is Thornton. EXACTLY!!!! Where is the over managing lefty on lefty out of Ozzie there when we need it? Putz is throwing nothing but fastballs, no splitters.

QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 14, 2010 -> 07:59 PM) Terrible loss...ironic that Jackson keeps pitching great, yet the offense sucks. Thanks for upgrading that KW! This season boils down to one decision: Kotsay for 1 yr / 1.5M Or Thome for 1 yr /1.5M Not to mention he has filled in for Morneau for the last 6 weeks. That my friends will most likely be what does us in... -

QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 14, 2010 -> 07:48 PM) BTW, Quentin will not be batting because Jones went in for him. Some more brilliant managing in a one run game. Clutchsay will be PH for him anyways -

Brutal, will be a really tough loss if we cannot score in the 9th. What's most pathetic is the fact we only had a 2-1 lead going into the 9th to begin with. This offense should be ashamed of themselves. -

We gotta take it to em tonight -
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 14, 2010 -> 12:28 PM) True, but for a team with money it would be way worth it if he could do anything close to what he did for LA in 2008. He'd probably bring in an additional $1-2M in revenue....and if we as able to get us to the post season it could be a lot more...

QUOTE (greg775 @ Aug 14, 2010 -> 01:33 AM) I agree with the sentiment, but we are not going to go into Minnesota and suddenly turn it around against them. Somebody said we have six games remaining against them. I assume it's three in both parks? I think a split would be a miracle. I think 2-4 would be the upside and 1-5 likely. They still have our number. Don't know when it's gonna change. I disagree with the general sentiment that we cannot beat these guys. This next series we won't have Freddy throwing meatballs up there and we'll have Danks/Floyd/MB going at them, we can beat these guys, our pitching is superior to theirs. Sure, their offense is better top to bottom but with a little luck and GB/TCQ/Teahen back into the mix again we're not that far behind their Morneau less lineup. I just don't buy it that going 3-3 against them is going to be impossible. And secondly I think head to head matchups are overblown sometimes, we just need to play well the rest of the year and quit worrying about what they are doing. If we play our game we should walk away with the Central this year.

This is where AJ hitting 6 drives me nuts. Let's hope he proves me wrong!!!

Everyone must be at the game again, disappointing performance out of the rest of SoxTalk who aren't participating in this thread, however
