  1. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 09:33 PM) Brno or Praha (Prague). Then go to Hungary, Budapest. If you are very very daring, you can go to the Ukraine, but I wouldn't recommend going by yourself, you have to be with someone you trust (friend, tour guide, g/f or fiance, etc.) I'm telling you guys, Colombia has the most beautiful woman, it's cheap (you can eat steaks and go horse back riding all afternoon for less than $20, it's not over-ridden by tourists, so many interesting animals, mountains, flowers, nature, mountains and waterfalls) and it's a lot closer than Europe or Asia. Many men come to Thailand and the Philippines (because the women there speak English)...but, since I speak Spanish pretty well, I would STRONGLY recommend anywhere in Central or South America. Well, maybe not Venezuela now, it's dicey with Chavez, he kind of hates gringos and americanos. Except for Oliver Stone, but that's another story. I've heard the same thing about Columbia, would love to get out there sometime...
  2. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 09:29 PM) Are you voting Nay for Cangelosi's girl, lol? Or not Born? At first, I thought someone wanted to acquire Michael Bourn Supremacy, Willie Taveras or Lastings Milledge for leadoff when I saw the thread title. Cangelosi, she's a cute girl, looks like she hasn't had too much plastic surgery. Just joking...but did you ask her permission to post her picture? I'm not sure if she would be too happy, my wife would seriously kill or John Wayne Bobbitt me if I took her lingerie and bikini pictures and posted them on-line. Where are you heading to next, Buda-Pest Hungary? If you think CR, Poland and Slovakia are interesting, you're in for some eye-opening experiences. Haha! Nice! I actually live in Warsaw, Poland. She actually would be OK with me posting it, especially in a small group like this where max there will only be 20-30 people or so seeing the pics. In fact she even told me I could post that one on Facebook but I am not going to do it, since my fellow American friends tend to be more sensitive than people are in Europe about sexuality. I'll probably take down the directory in a few days but in the meantime leave it up for the Sox Talk family :-). And Caufield, indeed, sounds like you've had a good run of it worldwide. There's plenty to explore in other cultures and Eastern Europe is just one of many places to do it! All Sox Talk members are free to PM me if they should ever make it out here!
  3. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 05:50 PM) PICTURES OR IT NEVER HAPPENED! I live in Eastern Europe, where it's a bit more common for an apparent old timer like me at 38 to have a 20 yr old GF. And they actually are a bit more traditional over here so they don't mind being regarded as a sex object like the women in the USA do...especially in Ukraine... So with that said, here we go, can't believe I am doing this...LOL http://www.matt-connelly.com/julia Sox fans you'll love Eastern Europe! Come on out, you can go to the clubs, get some drinks, see some beautiful women, and come home at 2AM just in time for the Sox game!!! :-)
  4. QUOTE (jphat007 @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 05:47 PM) 1981. Almost, but not quite We have some youngins in here...I thought it would be more evenly distributed....at least I can say I don't remember 1976 though ;-)
  5. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 05:05 PM) 3 born. Wow, some old timers in here. Born in 1972. I'm 38. That's an old timer?!?!?!!??!?!?!?! :-) P.S. My girlfriend is 20, so if I am an old timer give this old timer a BIT of credit!! :-P
  6. Nice short inning from Pena there, he didn't exert himself too hard either so it's all good! On to tomorrow looking for another win!!
  7. Liney in the 9th?? What do we think? I'd love to keep our main guys fresh for tomorrow if possible, but don't want to give them any momentum heading into tomorrow's game either...
  8. That should be it for JFP. Let's try Liney in the 8th and see if the guy can pitch one shutout inning for once.
  9. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jun 25, 2010 -> 03:50 PM) Any good from Gordon's bat is awesome. Like I said, the Cubs series his last stand to stay in the bigs, and he's showing he wants to stay. Is this just a hunch or did I miss something? I actually agree that we need to tell him it's time he starts swinging it better or needs to go down. Anyways, today watching him at the plate reminded me of the 2009 Gordon Beckham. I am cautiously optimistic this will be the game where he snaps out of it as today he just seems to be reacting and not thinking at the plate...who knows but that's what I see...even on his first AB with the weak ground out I felt that way...
  10. Was it Fathom or Kalapse that used to have a picture of Carlos with a red heart in their avatar???? It's time revive it as TCQ is BACK!!!!!
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 02:17 PM) CHAD QUALLS LOL, click my signature to see proof of that. I am going to miss PK next year, one of the all time great White Sox players, a clutch player and Cub killer. What else can you want??
  12. QUOTE (Rooftop Shots @ Jun 24, 2010 -> 09:45 AM) Totally agree, but if our starting pitching ever runs a few games in a row where they have rough outings, we will need a couple of extra guys to give some breathing room. And hopefully the clown is capable of pitching the 9th Inning in a game where we're up 6 runs as well, even though he was unsuccessful in finishing it last time...
  13. Kotsay in the 3 hole. Such a pathetic lineup, but we will probably score 10 runs today :-P
  14. QUOTE (Chet Kincaid @ Jun 22, 2010 -> 08:42 PM) Who was that dude with the facial hair talking to Freddy Garcia in the dugout? I believe his name is Allen Thomas he's the strength and conditioning coach for the White Sox
  15. The reality is we need to get more production out of our offense across the board, namely CQ and GB in order to have a chance in my opinion. Finally the starters are putting it together as we were expecting to happen since day 1 and it's good to see. But until we can show some more production I am still on the fence. KW needs to get a real DH at the deadline if we're still in it...
  16. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 19, 2010 -> 03:26 PM) No one minds when TBS does it because then Extra innings and the local channels carries the game we'd like without blackouts. Is there anyway of getting around the blackout and watch on mlb.tv for us out of towners? Usually living in Europe its no problem but now that I am in NY for a few days it is...let me know...thanks
  17. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jun 18, 2010 -> 08:49 PM) Hard to trade your old and/or expensive players when there's no market for them. This is exactly right- KW just hasn't had a market for getting rid of our guys yet. Wait until late July before the deadline and see what he does as teams become more desperate and actually want to make moves. We have a long way to go if we're going to be buyers at the deadline, and I hope we really are but we still need TCQ and Beckham to start hitting amongst many other things to convince me we can compete this year...but it's sure good to win, no matter who it's against
  18. I actually would have preferred to see Kotsay there, sad to say, Q is horrible
  19. QUOTE (Real @ Jun 13, 2010 -> 08:34 PM) wish i could watch this game, how does lilly look? why are our hitters having trouble squaring him up? is it as simple as all of his pitches having movement? He's moving the ball in and out and up and down and changing speeds pretty well. Nothing mind boggling just hitting his location for the most part. We also appear to be overly aggressive tonight
  20. QUOTE (Jerksticks @ Jun 12, 2010 -> 05:45 PM) We have the best bullpen in the league if our starters continually go deep. How is the rain looking right now? I am away in NY, and cannot watch on MLB.TV, which is a total joke.
  21. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jun 12, 2010 -> 02:03 PM) Lillibridge really gets too much s*** on this board, just saying. Did anyone notice last year when Hawk clearly didn't like Brent (as most of us didn't) he started calling him "Lilly" bridge?? Now it's back to "Lilla" bridge
  22. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 11, 2010 -> 04:24 PM) Who gets the 9th? I'd go with Thornton...but it will probably be Linebrink. It would be nice getting this game without having to go to Thornton or Bobby, let's hope we don't give them any momentum going into tomorrow though.
