QUOTE (iamshack @ Aug 5, 2010 -> 01:22 PM) How is the cost of living? It depends, not as cheap as you may think, but some things are very cheap, such as cab rides and vegetables on the street (which are awesome, none of that GMO crap in the USA). But all in all its a better life out here generally speaking, in my opinion. I love to visit the USA but not live, any longer...

QUOTE (iamshack @ Aug 5, 2010 -> 01:08 PM) So you much prefer living in Europe as opposed to the States... Much better. The women are incredibly beautiful in Eastern Europe and very willing ;-). I was actually joking with a friend about that chick who played on "The Bachelorette" show- I could walk the streets in Kiev, Ukraine and find 10 girls 10x hotter than her in about 10 minutes ;-) Anyways there's a lot of reasons for living overseas but I can't see myself moving back anytime soon...

For sure someone is going to offer him a 2 yr contract, I gotta believe that. I too, would like to see him retire as a White Sox player, but realistically think it's 50/50 at best

QUOTE (joeynach @ Aug 3, 2010 -> 11:49 PM) Official prediction on 8-3-10 by Joeynach. When Mark Tehean comes off the DL and returns to the Sox active roster, instead of optioning Viciedo down to AAA to make room like everyone thinks, the team will release Mark (.220 BABIP) Kotsay. I hope you're right...if this isn't the most obvious move I don't know what is...

DH Game 1: Buehrle (9-8, 4.15 ERA) v Porcello (4-9, 5.50 ERA)

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 3, 2010 -> 12:07 PM) Buehrles > Boesch. Man he's good at that. When you pick someone off it's like stealing, I love it... -

So leading off will Kotsay hit a 2 hopper to second base or a 3 hopper? -
QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 2, 2010 -> 10:01 AM) And slightly off topic but anyone else notice that Linebrink's last 8 or 9 starts have been pretty damn good? Could you imagine if he had one of those elite half seasons the rest of the way? I was about to say, why hasn't Coop fixed Liney?? ;-) It would be nice if he got his act together and started hitting his spots, our Pen would be just killer

Strangely enough you wonder if Viciedo's game last night will reinforce their belief in him, I cannot see how they can trade him away, he's a key piece to the puzzle especially when you consider we will lose PK next year most likely. We can't deal all of our future prospects... Anyways, only time will tell but I am praying that Coop said he could fix Ejax and we get a solid #4 who had success in the central last year. I don't see us dealing Ejax right now, nor do I think KW got him SOLELY to land Dunn, that would be stupid as he'd lose leverage at that stage. If he got him he must be willing to keep him. And secondly, who would we trade to get Brett Myers? We'd obviously need to get another starter at that point. I just don't see this happening all in the next 12 hrs (from the time I am writing this post)

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 30, 2010 -> 08:04 PM) If KW had no intentions of keeping Jackson, then he has no one to blame but himself. That's correct, once you got the guy and offer it, now a lot of your leverage is gone as they know you don't want him. I can't believe this to be true actually, let's give KW a bit more credit than that. If so, however, let's hope it works out like last years "mistake" of picking up Rios off waivers...

I want answers as well!!!

QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 26, 2010 -> 07:32 PM) That was easily the hardest hit ball he's had. Hawk's been overreacting about some pretty routine ground balls and fly outs by Kotsay lately. Even though I haven't seen a lot of the games I just knew it. I mean, cmon, the guy is hitting .220 and we're nearly into August. I don't know how Hawk has the cajones to say something like this...
