  1. I didn't want to pack it in on June 1, but it's time to dump salary get some prospects and start thinking about next year. I'd love to see if we can dump MB as well as he hasn't proved to be anything special in nearly a year now. I think Ozzie needs to go as well, as he gets out managed probably 70-75% of the time. So, in a few words, this season is OVA
  2. JFP concerns me the most out of all of our starting 5, which is pretty scary (and sad) to say...
  3. QUOTE (knightni @ May 30, 2010 -> 03:16 PM) That's what the story was. He hit a few weak pop ups to the right side again today on outside pitches and just cannot reach them. I want the 2008 TCQ back, standing on top of the plate
  4. I think we can safely say Juan has made more fantastic plays in LF than Pods did all of last year. And generally speaking he's been pretty solid outside of his weak arm and seemingly constant hesitations when deciding where the ball should go when throwing it back in...
  5. QUOTE (GREEDY @ May 30, 2010 -> 02:34 PM) You are clueless. LOL
  6. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ May 30, 2010 -> 02:30 PM) Bad base running by Omar, he's caught halfway home. Huh?
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ May 30, 2010 -> 02:00 PM) All you had to do is watch the 5th to see that Peavy was out of gas and lucky to be getting outs. Good job Santos! Exactly.
  8. Ok, what is the % chance Ozzie puts Peavy back in there in the 6th?? I think because this inning has taken much longer than usual, he may pull him now. But if it was a bit shorter he probably puts him back out there, like the clueless idiot he is.
  9. QUOTE (chw42 @ May 30, 2010 -> 01:22 PM) Please take Peavy out. Watch Ozzie leave him in there for the 6th. If he does, he should be fired. It's clear the guy has NOTHING in the tank and virtually every ball was hit hard that inning, including two of the hardest being outs.
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ May 30, 2010 -> 01:18 PM) It was a slider. He's throwing more over the top today, and the result is the same crap we saw during the first month. What a bust so far. OMG that's unreal, thanks for clarifying though. He MUST be having arm trouble if that's the case
  11. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ May 30, 2010 -> 01:15 PM) Yes, vote early, vote often. If THAT was a slider, it's the worst slider I've seen in my life. That looked like a changeup to me with no movement. There is NO movement on that "slider"
  12. Tell me we didn't know that Teahen was this BAD on defense before trading and extending him?? He looks like a 3 legged dog out there
  13. QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ May 30, 2010 -> 12:06 PM) Twins get that man to 3rd every time Leadoff double, can't even move him to 3rd. White Sox baseball!!
  14. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ May 30, 2010 -> 10:22 AM) Peavy needs to back up his talk tonight. This is a game that Buehrle should be pitching. I hope he has a great game today, because if he doesn't people are going to be asking Ozzie some questions and we'll basically need to get to .500 by mid June in order for us NOT to go in the direction of a firesale and salary dump
  15. QUOTE (elrockinMT @ May 30, 2010 -> 09:58 AM) I would take this game and a win as a moral victory. I can't believe that Danks gave up 8 runs, but I guess it was his first real poor outing of the year if I remember right. Peavey needs to step up today. I'll be there behind the TV Our DH slot is just pathetic, this is an embarrassing lineup
  16. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ May 30, 2010 -> 12:24 AM) Just Fu***** Pitch! No more talking Jake, time to show people how big of a dirtbag you really are! Time for a long winning streak this team really needs! With MB only going a few innings his last start and JFP complaining of a tired arm, I am not sure why we're starting him today especially given we have Monday off, which would give JFP 2 additional days of rest and perhaps his p*&sy won't hurt any longer. My patience is growing slim for JFP it's time for him to shape up or ship out, starting today
  17. QUOTE (since56 @ May 29, 2010 -> 10:53 AM) He can't risk getting hit on that wrist. Look at how few times he has been hit compared to past years. I want the old TCQ back!!!!!!
  18. Who wouldn't like to see him return to the crouched position on top of the plate once again and get these types of results? http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/video/play...96&c_id=cws ????
  19. Probably the most disappointing thing about this season is Beckham's performance in my opinion. I know JFP has sucked as has TCQ, but I really thought Beckham was going to be All Star material this year. Obviously all players have to pay their dues in this league and he's no different I guess. Let's hope he's going to come out of it and be a better player because of it, but I am not going to say he's back just yet.
  20. QUOTE (SoxAce @ May 27, 2010 -> 02:32 PM) Ya your already wrong. You are considered a bust when you haven't done s*** at the MLB level at all, especially when you are/were considered a top prospect. Now... you can call him a one year wonder, a guy with a fluke season, injury prone player who was amazing for a season, etc.. but bust players don't go .288/.394/.571/.965 148 OPS+ (5th in MVP voting, though would had won if he didn't get injured) in any year. Sad to think how many man crushes there were on TCQ in 2008 and now there is nothing. People talking about how nice it was going to be to see him in the 3 hole for 8-10 years, now it looks questionable if he'll be on the opening day roster in 2011....Sad...
  21. QUOTE (Jenksy Cat @ May 26, 2010 -> 12:45 PM) How often do you hang out with the team in the clubhouse to know this? Does anyone agree to leave Bobby in right now?
  22. QUOTE (Thunderbolt @ May 24, 2010 -> 04:27 PM) Mark Kotsay is 6-31 over his last ten games. He had an okay 5 game stretch, and then followed that with 0-7 with 2 K's. When you're hot, you're hot. He's not Agreed the quicker we DFA him the better...what a joke he is AGAIN batting 5th. God that lineup looks so pathetic it's sad
