QUOTE (Quinarvy @ May 1, 2010 -> 12:35 PM) Pierre, you suck. Really, really bad baserunning from AJ, you dont see that often outta him....meanwhile we can only score 1 run, what a joke

QUOTE (justBLAZE @ May 1, 2010 -> 11:01 AM) Rios won't be in the lineup today or tomorrow because he returned to Chicago for the birth of his child. per Merkin/Gonzales Bad timing, couldn't she have waited until Monday when at least he was in Chicago?
-
QUOTE (JohnCangelosi @ May 1, 2010 -> 09:37 AM) Unreal- just looking at him on the bench yesterday he looked like one of the coaches, well past his prime and there is no way we should be leading him off- let's wait and see what the lineup is I just don't understand playing Pierre over Rios, this is laughable

QUOTE (justBLAZE @ May 1, 2010 -> 09:36 AM) Yup, Vizquel is playing SS today I assume he's also leading off? Don't have the lineup yet. I haven't watched all of the games this year but it seems as if our bullpen has disappointed in critical situations and may be a bit overrated- today is a perfect example of that -

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 30, 2010 -> 08:42 PM) Teahen is a miserable 2-19 vs LHP this season. He's really just a mediocre player who was a terrible fit for the Sox at 3rd. Should have never tried to pull that pitch, that was really poor -
Which ex-Sox Player Would You Want Back for 2010 Team?
JohnCangelosi replied to jasonxctf's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Pods and his .385 BA, .453 OBP and 8/9 in SB's, on a 1 yr deal for 1.75M instead of 4M per for Pierre....which would have allowed us more $ to have gotten Damon or Matsui -

Do any sports writers have the balls to ask Ozzie outright something like: "AJ looks lost out there right now. How much longer can you bat him in the 5 slot without significantly hurting the team?" I mean, WTF!?!!?!?!? -

The radar map looks brutal. Not sure if we'll see baseball today :-( -
QUOTE (Al Lopez's Ghost @ Apr 25, 2010 -> 06:32 AM) You're right. Beckham hit one to close the gap, and I think it was PK who hit the game winner. Not a walkoff of course. Yes, that is correct, last year- actually PK's tied the game, then we got another few runs to eventually win it.
-
I heard someone say that this was the first time we've had 2 HR's in the ninth to win it, could be true, but I remember this game in 2005: This was to TIE the game in the 9th, but here's the link: http://tinyurl.com/3aeolyn I was also at a game in Fenway Park in 2005 where Konerko and Iguchi homered off Schilling in the 9th but it only trimmed the lead to one run in a loss... Maybe there was a time in between 2005 and now where we did this to TIE or WIN the game in the 9th? If so I can't recall it...

QUOTE (TitoMB @ Apr 24, 2010 -> 05:45 PM) * When was the last time we hit 2 homers in the bottom of the 9th? There may have been a time in between, but this is the last time I recall: http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/media/play...b_tp350&v=2 Alex's stroke right now is fun to watch. Short, quick and you'd be hard pressed to find someone who's ball comes off the bat in the big leagues better than his right now... RIOS!!!! Can someone confirm if I was right about this? -

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 24, 2010 -> 05:33 PM) Why didn't Santos get another inning? How many games do we have to see Jenks blow in non-save situations before Ozzie realizes it's a bad fit? Isn't that the truth. And this is yet another example of how management can lose you ballgames- and no one will even mention this in the newspaper tomorrow either. -

QUOTE (Capn12 @ Apr 24, 2010 -> 04:06 PM) How many goddamn DPs have we hit into this year? I cannot believe the SWINGS I am seeing us put on the ball today. OMG this is laughable- this has to be the worst hacks I've seen us take ever, really... -

QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 24, 2010 -> 03:44 PM) He has no bat speed, and he's never gone this long without putting some good swings on the ball. He's looked horrible in EVERY at bat I've seen out of him this year, which would probably be around 15 or so. I swear I haven't seen one hit and probably 14 softly hit ground balls to the right side -

The Lineups: 1. Pierre, J, LF 2. Beckham, G, 2B 3. Jones, A, RF 4. Konerko, P, 1B 5. Pierzynski, A, C 6. Quentin, C, DH 7. Rios, A, CF 8. Teahen, M, 3B 9. Ramirez, A, SS Question. Why the hell is AJ in the 5 spot with how HORRIBLE he has looked at the plate thus far this year?!?!!??!?! Oh, I forgot, the LRLR is so important :-P -
I'd like to see him get more AB's someway somehow, however. The ball just comes off his bat so nice- he's fun to watch...
