Lots of rumours flying around that Eyanson AND Witherspoon are both not 100%.

JR didn’t want to eat Hays salary só forced Getz to find a defensive replacement in Doyle…? As noted, already had a better player in Derek Hill unless they can somehow fix Doyle.

Preller is going to get fired (and quickly rehired by someone) if this gambit doesn’t work out. Farm system cooked except for Ethan Salas.

Lowe trade and maybe Adell change of scenery gives the Guardians the talent advantage in deadline moves unless the old Luis Castillo returns from the dead.

As for the price general manager Craig Breslow paid, let's go to a talent evaluator quoted by Sean McAdam of MassLive.com: "I'm absolutely dumbfounded by this ... This is literally one of the most ridiculous trades I've seen in 30 years." In exchange for a season-and-a-half with their new catcher, plus another catcher in Jake Rogers, Boston sent away pitching prospect Anthony Eyanson (their No. 2 prospect at MLB Pipeline), pitching prospect Kyson Witherspoon (No. 4), outfield prospect Enddy Azocar (No. 5), current backup catcher Carlos Narváez and a player to be named later. Emmett Sheehan was demoted/optioned out as well by the Dodgers. Must be demoralizing for him, Wrobleski (rocked tonight), Sasaki and Lauer. Plus now they'very added Bubic as well into the bullpen mix.

Mune's situation will be the story of next season once the CBA is hopefully resolved. https://www.mlb.com/news/mlb-trade-deadline-2026-deal-tracker Luis Castillo trade was #18. AJ Preller with two moves in Top 5 for pitching help.

How often do players choose the Midwest over SD or LA?

Dodgers 40% Other 11 playoff teams 60% Rick Hahn said he'd take the pool

Only K.Campbell and his $50 million contract extension remaining. Giants didn't get Roch, exactly. Schmitt/Chapman at 3rd, Adames SS, he goes to second base? Mayer supposedly a sour influence in the Boston clubhouse...fwiw

Not to mention Acuna...

Braves and Yankees pretty quiet...other than Nats' 2B/1B/DH

Sounds a lot like Joe Ryan with the medical concerns depressing his value.

Thought it would be for Wolkow or Zavala... nothing burger, improving at the margin though (Davitt flying around a lot recently)

Headline of week for small markets Brewers reportedly acquire SP Dustin May from rival Cardinals after missing out on Tarik SkubalOr the Orioles capitulating by dealing Rutschman for a boatload of more prospects... Time for Rays Yankees or Preller to do something crazy...

Getz headed for a C/C- deadline week...

The entire AL Central has added less than the Skubal trade subtracted lol.

F.Griffin at least low salaried T.Rogers Lauer see above

Cubs viewed Jefferson Rojas as one of the more advanced hitters on that market. Rojas has a controlled right-handed swing and precocious pitch-recognition skills that...

Therein lies the problem. Fedde on paper doesn't look all that different from Castillo, either. Only Brazoban an upgrade on Dominguez numbers...

Red Sox system popping out prospects like pop tarts. K.Campbell M.Mayer Anthony all contributing little to nothing this year.

???? Kendall George involved?

Devers was possibly moving to SDP. Lee Adames Chapman tough to move due to contracts. Arraez gone. Most of the pitching staff still intact.

For Spencer Arighetti? Hmmm... https://www.fangraphs.com/players/spencer-arrighetti/29921/stats/pitching Lots of control remaining but only worth 0.3 combined fWAR in 25-26.
