  2. Especially with NYM/Stearns adding so many relievers.
  3. Pollock was never a capable RFer unfortunately. Plus he never really wanted to leave the Dodgers.
  4. KC had Dos Carlos...Febles and Beltran. How about Dos Catchers?
  5. Well Robert picked the right time to finally turn it on. 213/653 Just don't trade him to the Dodgers.
  6. Robert and Meidroth exact same 649 ops. Please trade Tauchman before he gets hurt. Teel up to 772.
  7. Word on the street is that there's footage of the Pope eating a hot dog in the stands at US Cellular...
  8. Danley was huge too...and all those repeating phone numbers.
  9. As long as their arms don't all fall off and control abandon them right after joining the team.
  10. Which manager would a vet want to play for, comparatively? HoFer or first year guy? Which superstar, as who is our Elly de la Cruz?
  11. "As for the return, the Phillies have the appropriate prospect capital to trade from, touting six of MLB Pipeline’s Top 100 prospects. But there might even be a world where the Phillies can hold onto their upper-echelon of young talent while still landing Robert. In this case, a package of Chace and the 19-year-old Burkholder provide the White Sox with two players better suited for their future plans than Robert." mlb.com For #8 and #11 Phillies' prospects Haven't seen these names rumors yet
  12. Say whatever you want about the Padres and their future payroll obligations...but they have proven since 2019 that you can have a Bottom 3 media market and still have a consistent Top 3-5 team in attendance each and every season if you spend on some exciting players...despite inconsistency of playoff appearances. They have 3 post-seasons in 5 years and are in the cat bird's seat for now for 4/6. Does it only take great weather, a top stadium and a "ballpark village" to pull it off? And isn't that about as good as the Brewers Rays or any AL Central team could ever aspire to...? Or is it just un realistic to expect owners to go into "paper" debt? Was trying to find a past post and found this gem...oh for the so-called "life and death" problems of 2021 Sox baseball.
  13. Detroit Seattle Milwaukee...the Reds sitting on the edge of WC contention. That's pretty much it. All the main contenders are Top 10-12 payroll teams. Unless you want to now call Boston or Toronto mid-market.
  14. The main problem is most lists of the Sox core don't even include Sosa..., basically, this team possesses the most unpredictable future core of any team with a Top 5 milb system in recent memory. The Orioles' issues look like relatively nothing in comparison.
  15. Andrew Vaughn 228/678 another homer (10) and 6 rbi's slam dunk they let Hoskins go and keep Vaughn for next year at this rate
  16. Agreed. Fantastic Four is much much better...even though box office quote similar. Would have rather watched a romantic comedy with Rachel Brosnahan and and basically anyone BESIDES Superman after that one.
  17. Can't even hold ISU against her since she went to Southern Cal. Also, "Materialists," fwiw, much better than this boring game.
  18. Padres are trying to trade Salas or Campusano...don't have interest in acquiring one despite Maldonado's mid 500s ops. They need Robert or Tauchman and Houser. Trying to add and subtract at same time with Cease and Suarez.
