That would be a huge success unmatched with any period in franchise history were they to somehow pull that off. Signing/extending Contreras, Baez, Rizzo and especially Bryant would have led to a couple more playoff appearances but eventually a complete teardown. Now they can try to compete without totally bottoming out for 4-5 years and see how it goes.
