  1. Well, especially when you consider how many starting pitchers the Cubs have produced since Hendricks...
  2. #84 Cease number related to meditation and yoga...that’s different. https://fansided.com/2021/05/05/dylan-cease-meditations-breakout-season-white-sox/ So not necessarily a Katz win...?
  3. Well, that wasn’t very close. Makeup call.
  4. Well, this might be a pretty quick game if Cease can match Cole somehow...
  5. Worst BA in baseball but 25th best OBP for Grandal...
  6. https://www.cnn.com/2021/05/20/opinions/white-sox-la-russa-yermin-mercedes-jennings/index.html White Sox manager’s alarmingly stupid move Even CNN is weighing in with opinion pieces. MLB executives should act against La Russa immediately, suspending and fining him heavily at a minimum. The White Sox have grounds to fire him because he clearly supported violence against one of his subordinates. As for Mercedes, thank goodness for players like him, who still see Major League Baseball as a dream worth achieving. I hope he swings at every 3-0 pitch for the rest of the year and hits a few of them into the stratosphere. I hope he becomes a huge star and can provide forever for himself and his family (he currently makes the league minimum salary of $570,500). And I hope Major League Baseball's executives continue their quest to keep the game fresh by standing up for its future -- players like Mercedes -- instead of protecting dumb vestiges of its past.
  7. https://www.mlb.com/padres/video/check-out-tatis-jr-s-3-run-homer https://www.mlb.com/news/fernando-tatis-jr-hits-50th-career-homer 50th career homer Trout’s came on July 8th, 2013, at basically 21 years and 11 months old. Tatis’ at 22 years and almost five months. 266 career games for Trout to get there, 161 games for Tatis to do the same. Obviously missing almost two months with the back tweak at the end of 2019, 102 games to Covid-19 last year and 17 out of the first 45 games (Covid and shoulder) this year knocked him back a bit. https://www.milb.com/video/abrams-leaves-the-yard
  8. White Sox +72 Padres +66 Astros +64 LAD +63 SFG +56 Boston +50 NL West now seriously bunched up with three teams within 1 game, two-way tie for first. Btw, our/Greg775’s old friend Nate Jones got some huge outs in the high leverage 7th and 8th with the Dodgers clinging to a 1 run lead against the Gigantes. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2021/05/dodgers-select-nate-jones-dfa-travis-blankenhorn.html

    Rodon

    You mean Scott Boras Corp?
  10. That was also dumb, once you already had him warmed up. Everyone knew it was game over doing what TLR elected to there. Especially considering he might not get in tmrw with Cole on the mound.
  11. Lamb? Mendick, Hamilton and Grandal were already in the game, same with Eaton.
  12. Madrigal to baserunning/fundamentals school please...and Vaughn probably has never bunted in a game situation since early years of high school.
  13. Hendriks against Judge, Urshela and Torres? Marshall can survive another inning if his tightrope act?
  14. You clearly didn’t watch how well he threw the ball all night long...
  15. Who are you going to remove? Six man rotation?
  16. And here’s where we concede the game with Marshall...
  17. Vaughn averaging 85.6 on throws, Eaton at 90.4 and Leury in the low 80’s...which is surprisingly slow for a SS arm and 2-3 steps to get your full weight/momentum behind the throw. Great at-bat by Gardner, battled his butt off.
  18. Thank god Wade dove into second or he would be on third.
  19. Yeah, but he’s making more contact instead of striking out...
  20. If LaRussa puts in Evan Marshall with Cole looming tmrw...
