  1. How bad was the base running mistake by Abreu? Unavoidable or not? Almost felt like expected punishment from the baseball gods.
  2. He was fine more recently... just a one game blip.
  3. Of course, we still blew through Bummer and Hendriks. No choice but to call up Lopez to cover these situations, along with Ruiz for now.
  4. Well, our defense didn’t exactly help him out there...
  5. Not so sure...cold weather, think they might be overprotecting him, too.
  6. Well, at least we’re not Oakland A’s fans... 7 runs from the so-called best bullpen in baseball? Whenever the White Sox get too much praise, it always seems to be the kiss of death. I guess we should have known better...it was a game started by a RHP.
  7. You just can’t play this poorly and sweep even the worst MLB clubs on the road... And, from watching Maeda the first two times out, he’s looking like a Cy Young candidate to go with Berrios.
  8. Please tell me that wasn’t a ball a normal LFer ordinarily catches?
  9. Who’s up next? Burdi? Burr? Johnson? McClure?
  10. Never bring Foster into the game with runners on base.
  11. Didn’t Foster only give up one hit all last season on changeups?
  12. Overpowering him with fastballs and go to the change there? Not with a hitter who has struggled so much in the big leagues.
  13. Heading for third blown save of the season in seven games...
  14. Seager looks like he is done. That said, Lewis, Kelenic and Rodriguez sould be a Top 3-5 outfield someday.
  15. Foster doesn’t usually excel unless he gets a clean inning to start with...
  16. More excellent White Sox defense...another error from Eaton. The worst popup slide into 2B ever. Keuchel seems to be in disbelief.
  17. Are you sure not for mail order brides, lol...? Well, you definitely won’t find precious medals or diamonds cheaper here in China, so don’t trust any ads for China Gold.
  18. ME-dick might actually catch on if he hits a homer today...
  19. Or Konerko. Or Carlos Quentin...and that’s yet another reason they have guys like Thome around the team, Darrin Jackson as well. Menechino is a former infielder as well.
  20. The dreaded cold weather in April/Chicago. Holding him back longer instead of facing a season-long lingering issue is the only choice, especially looking at how the absence of Jimenez is already impacting others in the lineup who are trying to do too much to compensate.
  21. Other examples would be Todd Frazier...Dunn...or the Melky/Robertson/LaRoche/Beckham/Bonifacio and some forgettable veteran catcher “injection/jump start.” Lynn might end up joining the Swisher, Shields and Shark trades in ignominy, but that still remains to be seen. Long season.
  22. Feels like Ozzie pulled a random Sunday lineup out of a hat...protecting Leury, Vaughn and Mercedes from a hard-throwing RHP. Lamb hitting second seems the strangest. Or Hamilton ahead of Mendick.
  23. Someone should get on the horn with his former Oregon State manager (pretty sure he’s now retired or close to it) and bring him in as a consultant or at least ask for his assistance in diagnosing the various mental issues fielding and baserunning-wise. Trying too hard to impress teammates or prove himself? Justifying that high selection and massive bonus? Moved too quickly up the MiLB ladder? Feels like one of those Yogi Berra quotes...”Baseball is 90 per cent mental. The other half is physical." I mean, are Mercedes, Akil Baddoo, and Tyler Naquin suddenly HoF type players in less than a week?
