He might be lucky to match Madrigal for homers...but he's their 2022 Yermin. Guardians carrying over good vibes into a dressing down of Berrios tonight.

Plus the change of pace going from Ohtani to back of the Sox rotation...that should count for something.

Sounds like the plot for the next Nick Cage movie...a merging of Pig and Prisoners of the Ghostland meets Ozark/Better Call Saul.

Actually one could argue that Benetti’s schtick goes more towards the 35-50 year old audience. Not sure he’s beloved by teenagers, but a focus group of them after watching Sox games for a week would be enlightening. Don’t see it as geriatrics vs. the two utes (Gerry Callo/Gallo voice of Joe Pesci) at all.

You rang? Well, this year I (for one) am not going to be the one to summon back his thread after watching the Kelenic debacle go down like a train wreck in slow motion. (For the record, I do think all the picking on Hosmer finally inspired him to perform better.)

Are you sure they weren’t confused with Spotify?

Dodgers generally know what they are doing...other than signing Bauer, letting Yordan Alvarez get away and holding onto Turner too long.

https://www.mlb.com/news/best-player-for-each-mlb-team-in-april-2022 Could have gone with Cease or Kopech as well...nothing about his defense or lack thereof brought up at least.

Sano has been one of the worst hitters in baseball, almost Leury bad. They have lost 2 of their last 14 so it's hard to conclude their pitching is coming back to earth based on one Bundy start and Ober being on the IL for a start or two.

As long as Boston doesn't wear those hideous yellow jerseys we should be okay. And no Giolito Massacre at Fenway. Keuchel or VV, though...

This 100%. That we're now parsing Johnny Cueto Charlotte starts (not good tonight) and hoping/praying for VV to morph into 2003 Esteban Loiaza doesn't bode particularly well. We managed to transform a dynamic exciting young core into a team relying on "just one more year" performances out of Abreu, Pollock, Grandal, Lynn, Harrison, Leury, Kelly (better be more!), Keuchel, etc. Not to mention Gavin Sheets following in the footsteps of Delmonico and Palka. Let's not even get started on how deflating TLR is...although his complete lack of any urgency will be spun as not panicking and a steady hand at the wheel, etc.

We shall see. Ryan has been one of the ten best in the AL and clearly top rookie pitcher. Then it's Ober, Sonny Gray, Paddack, Bundy, Archer. It all comes down to the back ends. White Sox clearly the advantage a cross the top 3 guys. We can make a house/ban bet...but the White Sox have the much more difficult schedule and half a team. Weeks ago, you predicted 109...yes, 109 wins. Nobody else at SoxTalk is predicting over 95 that I have seen. That's still with the AL Central statistically the easiest division in MLB.

Except we are at least three weeks away from that happening still. The first decision will clearly be between Cueto Keuchel and VV. With the Twins' extremely easy schedule this month, just staying within 5-6 games would be a pretty big accomplishment considering how ugly things looked a week ago.

Kind of like that time he blew a game in big time fashion against KC...he was pretty good for us, but not sure he was one of the truly elite that his salary indicated. The next tier just below. Cabrera and La Roche starting out so poorly also made him seem better comparatively.

Ouch. Reds heading for 3-21...and Greene pretty much the only player to get excited about. Maybe Votto comedy skits, too?

Well the Cubs have no reason to help out the Sox...if Kelly is fine going forward they need to focus more on LHR. That said, the cutter is death to lefties.

Or a season long issue in the 8th. If anything, they need another veteran LHP if Bummer continues to falter.

Combined with Harrison and McGuire it's pretty darned brutal...

It was...a decade ago.

Robertson time. Unscored upon this year with his Mo Rivera tutored cutter.

We don't even need Kimbrel or Kelly!

Foster the team MVP this week. What an up and down ride the last three seasons. Kudos to Matt/Jose for perseverance.

Almost more horrific Madrigal base running. Now trying to deke Grandal into a throw lol.

Bummer got lucky...but not lucky enough to catch a runner off base. We didn't use Graveman enough when he was on a roll...so now we are forced to go with Foster. Russian Roulette.

Don't worry we will draft Joyce and throw him directly into the fray until his UCL goes too.
