  1. We only got 2/13 from the middle of the order, and nothing out of Carlos Rodon...and still won. Despite spotty bullpen performances, Marshall, Foster, Detwiler and Colome were great and Nomar Mazara's back in the line-up. On the negative side, our starting pitching is now officially in shambles with Lopez/Rodon/Kopech all sidelined. Who would have thunk taking Ross Detwiler out of the Neal Cotts 2005 role to start would be the key early decision for the organization?
  2. Well, that was anti-climatic. PHEW. White Sox have now won five freakin' games in a row.
  3. Jesus, don't bring up Avi Garcia in this situation...might be scarier than Yelich.
  4. Matchup of two #1 starters in Giolito and Woodruff tmrw. Hiura was such a great draft choice. Questions about defense/eventual position, but he's just been a hitting machine ever since coming up.
  5. Both Hiura and Yelich have never faced Colome in their careers, fwiw.
  6. LoMo is no more. Hiura and Yelich aren't going to be easy, are they?
  7. What's going on? Starting off TOO easily.
  8. Gamel/Morrison/Hiura/Yelich...bottom of the 9th This should only take about 26 minutes or so.
  9. And Bryant has been absolute garbage so far.
  10. 47 hits the last 3 games. 26 runs and counting.
  11. Between Covid/Cardinals, 4 day layoff, the White Sox on a huge tear offensively, Cain opting out, Braun put on the DL, it's understandable. That's a huge blow, psychologically.
  12. Yankees, Twins and Cubs off to blazing starts.
  13. Another double digit hit performance from the Sox. Doubles/gap hitting Grandal is awesome.
  14. Doesn't seem like Grandal should be leading the team in RBI's with 8 so far.
  15. Another pitching change. Yardley/Yeardly?
  16. That ball was down on the trademark and didn't even have the classic home run sound off the bat. Pure power. The sound effects of hearing everything on the field....contact, catcher's mitt, cursing, that's been an interesting revelation with this new crowd-less format.
  17. Let's get some more runs with 2-3-4 coming up. Colome with a 1 run lead on the road doesn't inspire all that much confidence.
  18. Marshall looking more and more at home in that 8th inning primary RH set-up role. Just happy to never see Herrera there again.
  19. He had to have been looking slider there. (Yes, I know, look FB first and then adjust off that, because you can't do it the other way around.)
  20. Guess Robert wasn't looking fastball there on strike 2. Then fished on the ball off the plate. Oh, well...he's not going to be without his flaws, it's baseball, after all. By and large, has shown almost too much plate discipline until getting overanxious with the full count there.
  21. It could be Angel Hernandez and Cowboy Joe West.
  22. Now Soroka's out for the year for the Braves. Torn Achilles'. 0/10 and 5 strikeouts from 4-6 in the batting order so far tonight.
  23. We most definitely didn't want to see Ian Hamilton!
  24. If THAT's not a strike. PHEW...can't remember being this stressed out by a White Sox game since May, 2016, the infamous game we blew against the Texas Rangers that started our slide that year.
