Most of those SwStr must be Anderson, Moncada, Robert and Jimenez.
-
The LiMu Emu has better odds of getting a hit with RISP tonight. Or Doug. Btw, make sure to pick up Nate Pearson for your fantasy team before someone swoops him up. Or Dustin May with LAD.
-
19 swings and misses and counting already tonight. Well, that ball was absolutely blistered, bad luck for Moncada.
-
There's another $75 bat to add to the 2020 bill for Jerry Reinsdorf. Plus all the baseballs they have to throw out of action immediately.
-
Frederich? Karl's brah?
-
For innings 7-8-9, the White Sox will attempt to get on base by sending up Eddie Gaedel-sized cardboard cutouts and draw walk after walk. Speaking of shorter players, Engel gets the hustle double. At least he's trying out there, effort is never the issue with his game.

How many times from 2013 through 2020 have we seen a stat box/highlight like that from an opposing pitcher? Too many times to count. Having the worst DH numbers in modern baseball history didn't help much last year, either.
-
Hamilton vs. Burr, that musical is 10X more entertaining than this series' White Sox offense. Maybe even Sharknado 6 or Saved By the Bell: Screech Gets Plastic Surgery to Look More Handsome Than Zack and Mario Lopez
-
It's like going to war with General Hooker or Burnside as opposed to Lee/Grant/Sherman. Giolito essentially a two-pitch pitcher, the change and fastball. A bit reminiscent of Jose Contreras with the FB and forkball combo back in 2005 and early 2006.
-
The dreaded "in-between" reactive swing...rather than aggressively hunting pitches.
-
Plesac's going to win a Gold Glove between all of his pick-offs at 1B and his overall athletic ability and reactions on the mound. Only gave up 1 SB all last season.
-
Robert's either not seeing the ball well in the twilight or he's completely out of sync, probably a little of both.
-
Smart not to give Eloy a fastball when he was up in the count. Nice defensive play there by Plesac, 101 MPH self-defense clinic as he was falling back a bit and off balance.
-
The Padres' underachieved in the second half and, despite some major injuries, GOODBYE Andy Green. Hello Jayce Tingler. You just the feeling other teams are more about winning/results than loyalty, stability, or the players' comfort level/clubhouse chemistry (whatever that gets a losing team and franchise that hasn't rediscovered how to embrace that mentality, like the Royals younger players 5-6 years ago.)
-
Here comes the set-up for the big inning with the heart of their order coming up now...terrible location with that pitch. Engel did a good job limiting him to a single instead of 2nd/3rd, no outs. Can at least get a double play ball here, possibly. Not sure Delmonico manages to hold him there.
-
At least 3 weeks....with a veteran manager like Renteria who's eminently predictable in his playing time preferences. Fwiw, if we need Collins to save us and Encarnacion's basically done, it's just one more scouting/evaluation error from our front office. That said, he absolutely blasted that homer onto the concourse against Minny. Timing is going to take a bit longer for older players, imo.

Their #5 starter would be our #3. That's the difference in the two staffs. Plutko is essentially their #6/swingman. And Bieber has really elevated his game since last year. It helps to have tonight's home plate owner's strike zone....that's how he got 14 Opening Day. 7 strikeouts. Not to mention Clevinger is REALLY nasty. We're missing their two best and in danger of getting swept nevertheless.
-
Watching Grandal with Crede's #24, makes one expect a bunch of flares into RF. Indians' pitching has been simply dominant so far in the early season, in both their series so far.
-
Counting down 3, 2, 1....before comment about Anderson and Giolito shouldn't be having so much fun in the dugout when their team is 1-4.
-
Unless you played for King or Simeon in the late 80's or early 90's... Btw, that new Rangers' stadium looks awfully antiseptic watching from t.v., and there's been very little offense so far there.
-
Or Alexei? Nice play by Moncada cutting across Anderson, Timmy probably wouldn't have been able to throw him out from that spot.
-
Leury was dead to rights there, but Zimmer slightly hesitated and spiked the throw a bit. Need to come up with a big hit with runners on base at some point. At least Giolito looks markedly sharper, so there's that.
-
Vaughn should be a beast of a hitting machine, too...
-
Nova, Santiago, Detwiler, Despaigne, Ruiz, Burr, Santana. Let’s GO! ”We can’t accurately assess the performance of Rick Hahn until at least the end of 2021 due to the plethora of injuries to strike the organization.” Checks list of starters for today, cringes at the name Frankie Montas yet again.
-
It would have to be a team like the Padres with surplus prospects...that it just itching to make a deep playoff run for the first time in many years. Trading Mejia for McCann seems quite possible, for example.
