SKIP Caray would be preferable. He never got the attention he deserved. -

I think that PRETTY MUCH covers the injury updates. At least for now, lol. -

They're saying Lopez left the game with right shoulder tightness and the dreaded "will be re-evaluated tomorrow." Jimenez left with what they're terming "light-headedness" so far. -

Haha, deliberated between him, Cespedes and Laureano for today. Activated, so at least if the White Sox lose, there's some potential consolation. -

4 Marlins being out for COVID-19 (including Urena) isn't stopping them today, apparently. Disappointing start for Phillies. Tigers taking 2/3 in Cincy to start the year the early shocker of the year. A lot of experts were picking the Reds for the NL Central. -

Since this game is completely off the rails, Garrett Richards is back to 95-96 with the Padres. Definitely looks to have his stuff back, finally. -

Now the Puig to White Sox momentum is really going to pick up if Jimenez has to miss at least 2-3 weeks. -

Crashed into one of the LF posts. Passed the initial concussion protocol, but an inning or two later, had to be removed from the game when showing obvious signs of duress with another play in the outfield where he looked totally disinterested or lost out there. -

You don't like to push/force Lambert or Dunning into that key role in a playoff-contending season, but they're relatively "expendable" from the point of view of the organization...compared to Kopech, at least. -

Elated not to be swept. Now if we have lost both Lopez and Jimenez for significant time this season...it takes on a much darker meaning for Sox fans. -

Shades of the Neal Cotts/Buehrle debacle at Yankee Stadium. Who'd a thunk Cotts would come back from a failed starting career to lead the bullpen to a World Series title just five years later? Baseball is so strange. Look at Daniel Bard this year, or Daniel Hudson last year. -

Or until Chris Sale comes back to the White Sox and has a good sense of humor about it all. That might NEVER happen, though. -

Yep. And Eight Men Out, of course. Heck, Mr. Baseball and Rookie of the Year weren't THAT bad....and then there's Little Big League, too, speaking of the Twins. -

Major League, Field of Dreams, The Natural, Bull Durham and A League of Their Own all came out of that generation....has been ages since the last great baseball film. I'd argue it was probably Dennis Quaid in THE ROOKIE, the Jim Morris story. -

I think you just wrote a nice epitaph for your Sox posting career under this particular avatar/screen name. ADIOS! -

We've gone from Rick Hahn, American League Executive of the Year 2020 to Rick Hahn: Disgraced/Fired in the span of less than 24 hours, lol. It was quite obvious there wasn't enough depth in the starting pitching, especially when they realized Kopech wasn't going to pitch this year. That we're using Delmonico/Engel and Ross Detwiler and still haven't figured out how to protect Eloy Jimenez from himself doesn't bode well for this season. Still not even 100% sure that they had to invest all that money into Grandal, but that's a debate for yet another day. -

Well, since we're the only industrialized country in the world pretty much forcing 10-18 year old kids back into school (S.Korea evidence of high transmission rates is pretty stout there from January-March)...and also the only one with a Congress/Parliament looking into ways to PROTECT corporations from their own citizens via liability protections/indemnification? -

I think Tiger Woods already apologized for this one about twenty years ago...or was it schitzo? This whole "hard/tough guy" mentality thing is ridiculous. We're becoming a society of thugs and lacking in basic common decency as well as a sense of empathy for our fellow human beings. -

America is in far bigger trouble than I previously thought...the only thing that would assuage the pain is an "In-N-Out" double-double about right now. How many Nelson Cruz homers? 3 XB hits already in this game, 8 total bases through inning 4. Whoever has him on their fantasy league team, he's already single-handedly won an 11 day opening week for them, lol. -

NOT quite sure I'd be picking that particular hill to die on this day...he's NOT quite as bad as Terry Bevington. At least most players and people around the game seem to genuinely like him. He has a better personality than Robin Ventura for working with younger players, too. He wasn't forced practically against his will to "take one for the organization" to shield the front office from additional scrutiny after the 2011 debacle with Ozzie and the deterioration of the on-field product (Adam Dunn). -

As long as their initials are DTJ? Or traced back to Ukrainian troll farms? At least Danny Mendick has potential in Boogie Nights 2 if the baseball career doesn't work with that moustache. Shades of Tyler Saladino. Meanwhile the Twins are slaughtering us without Buxton and Sano in the line-up. -
