  1. Just hope being so cavalier about this fourth run doesn’t come back to bite them…
  2. Well, at least we won’t have our “Jose Abreu isn’t clutch thread” out again…knock on wood.
  3. They were apparently tired of reading complaints the last month from SoxTalk…
  4. Saving legs for October…or his next reggaeton video.
  5. Sheets says not so fast sending me down…but that’s encouraging that he could take what the pitcher gave him instead of rolling over into a DP.
  6. LaRussa with the brilliant lineup construction…has Zavala here so they couldn’t have walked Hernandez to get to Seby’s spot instead. Guess Collins would have pinch hit instead.
  7. Well, still impossible to feel comfortable without at least a three or four run lead….
  8. Really have to get Kimbrel back out there tomorrow in the 9th and rest Liam until at least Sunday…
  9. The crazy thing is that imagine if Goodwin also had that grand slam that he missed by about two feet not so long ago…
  10. Guess Goodwin isn’t going to be the odd one out anytime soon…no way LaRussa keeps Sheets over him.
  11. Who in God’s name pitches the bottom of the 10th?
  12. It’s really crazy how we can be so dead with so many sparks from unexpected sources like Yermin, Rodon, Sheets, Burger, Goodwin, Hamilton. Granted, there’s always the dog days of summer one or no division competition or playing in front of crowds on the road or not motivated with the Cubs a AAAA team now. This is like the postseason for Cubs’ fans, though.
  13. Will Hendriks be available by Sunday at this rate…?
  14. Once again, no sense of urgency holding runners…
  15. Blame this loss on the dog park, or all dogs in general…guess it’s those idiotic Cubs’ uniforms.
  16. Now suddenly LaRussa actually wants to have his best pitcher out there and not lose this one?
  17. Just happy we don’t have the 2005 Indians barreling down behind these Sox…
  18. Now we have the dreaded curse of the closer in a tie game. Glad I slept from 2 a.m to 6 a.m. or I would be even more irate.
  19. Ron was right, lol.
  20. Contreras is cursed to do something because most fantasy owners benched him (including myself) AND of course it’s against the Sox…
  21. Not even trading him across the city resulted in a 1-2-3 inning from Heuer…but Madrigal somehow gets 2,900 hits for the Cubs.
  22. Just saying it wasn’t so obvious a HoF closer was easily going to adjust to pitching the 8th. That’s not a hindsight opinion from that trade. And Hahn has done something dangerous to Sox payrolls putting so much risk with two veteran closers, Grandal, Keuchel…heck, even our three younger core pieces don’t feel like slam dunk contracts at this point, especially further down the line.
  23. Saving those guys for next Thursday. Just hope there's no rainout.
  24. Leury hitting .133 since the ASG, haha. Are we really bad enough to go 2-5 against in the Royals in our last 7....4-5 at home, and 8-8 on the season?
  25. Yikes. That said, if he can't shut down the Royals, there's not much hope against playoff competition that he can be relied upon. Not asking for 1-2-3 even, just don't give up a run.
