Why do we just assume Schultz and Hagen would suddenly have control like Luke Littler's dartboard out of the pen?

Your First Place Chicago White Sox vs. The NY Yankers 6:40 CT
That's because the drunken Cubs' fans who don't even watch the game and ogle the boobs in the bleachers are inherently wealthier/more successful.

At what point do we start to believe?
9. White Sox (previously: 9) Munetaka Murakami hit two of the White Sox’s five homers on Sunday, ending a home run drought that had lasted 13 games. A rough week for the club ended up generally manageable, with a 2 1/2-game lead over the Guardians and a 3 1/2-game lead over the Twins remaining intact. But seven games with the Yankees and Rays this week should be quite the test. mlb.com

Trade Ideas/Rumors/Proposals Thread
Cubs are moving on from Taillon without a ton of depth behind him, though perhaps that’s a moot point with the trade deadline now just a week away. Due to their injuries, it has been long suspected that the Cubs would add some starting pitching this summer. They already made the aforementioned Peterson and Civale deals but will presumably make some even more impactful acquisitions before the clock strikes 5pm Central on August 3. mlbtraderumors.com

Schultz to the bullpen as he nears his innings limit?
They can’t keep running him out there if he can’t go more than 4+ without surrendering 3-5 runs for much longer. It has become the law of diminishing returns recently.

Trade Haul Reflections by the Numbers
Except for Wood Jr., CJ Abrams, M.Gore and Leo de Vries… And the opposite side of it: “In my opinion one of the greatest trade deadlines not just in the history of baseball, but maybe the greatest in the history of sports. If you disagree please tell me a time a GM traded for the equivalent of the NLDS MVP (if they gave one out it would have gone to Joc Pederson), the NLCS MVP (Dodger killer Eddie Rosario), and the World Series MVP (Jorge Soler) before the trade deadline.”

Munemania: He has power
https://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/article/munetaka-murakami-rockets-2-homers-with-parents-in-attendance-on-his-bobblehead-day-while-white-sox-clobber-astros-002145222.html Fittingly, Murakami's bobblehead reads "I have power" at the base of the figurine. It was on full display Sunday in Chicago. His parents were there to experience it again. "The last time my parents came, I was injured," Murakami said, per MLB.com. "Just being out on the field today and getting the results in front of them [leaves me] really speechless."

White Sox optioned Junior Perez
Who are you benching? Benintendi? "Andrew Benintendi has a .250 batting average with 22 hits, 5 homers, 19 RBIs and 17 runs scored in 30 games in his last 30 games." You're pretty unlikely to get anyone to bite on the $2 million remaining for Hays over the course of 3-4 games (due to his recent injury history), but who knows? https://www.espn.com/mlb/player/batvspitch/_/id/36928/teamId/10 Pretty good numbers vs. G.Cole/Fried, etc.
