The Matt Damon impersonation on SNL might prove to be more damaging than any Trump-directed FBI investigation. Signed, Greg -
Sox have "flexibility" to add "long term pieces"

I’d feel better if we could take credit for Jose Martinez, lol. Moncada’s 2018 was outWARed by Yolmer just last year. Better to take some credit for Narvaez compared to Smith, or even Tyler Flowers. The only bullpen guy on that list with any trade value at the moment is probably Fry, but how long will someone with multiple TJ’s hold up? Who else could the White Sox have taken over Rodon? Schwarber? Nola? They’re just lucky they didn’t end up with Aiken or Kolek. And would anyone consider Rodon a huge success story at this point in his Sox career? For all we know, Dylan Covey will end up with more wins with the White Sox from 2019 onwards. To summarize, about the only players (outside of Anderson/Moncada) that look pretty solid as the year ends are Palka, Narvaez and Lopez, maybe Fry...of course, we all saw what happened with Delmonico, so Palka and Omar will need to repeat in 2019. IMO, you can’t even come close to beating Lindor, Jose Ramirez and the ghost of Indians’ staffs past unless Eloy Jimenez is Megatron Squared. -
Is it hahn, hostetler, renteria, the coaches, or all of them??

Billions? -
Covey has just as good a shot as Giolito at this point...

Well, at least there's the Brewers to cheer for?
-
Except for the draft pick, there's almost nothing to be excited about in the offseason, other than Jimenez. Hopefully the Royals are dumb enough to pass on (B)adley to the Bone, but Sal Perez is already a few years past his prime to be Royals to be considering position foremost with the #2.

Like Merrick Garland? The GOP simply makes up their own rules as they go along... -
"Basket of deplorables" had a LOT more to do with the eventual election results than BERNIE BROS.

And nobody can be 100% on Rodon, at this point...from a physical health standpoint, or consistent performance, for that matter. Lopez has gone from projected 4-5/back end/high leverage reliever to #2. Cease basically has to be the real deal, AND stay healthy for the next 5 years. -

Yep, a 5-4 or 6-3 home court SCOTUS advantage only empowers Trump to continue with his divisive behaviors. The only thing that could change that dynamic is the Senate flipping...right now, it's not even a sure thing McCaskill or Heitkamp will win their races. -

What does Ford (and her family) have to gain from all of this? Is Anita Hill's public life any better for having been dragged into a public scandal, or Monica Lewinsky's? Only if you argue that Ford is getting marching orders (and financial support) from George Soros and the Clinton's (to get revenge for Kavanaugh's Monicagate impeachment involvement) does it make sense for someone like Ford and some of the others to come forward? Think, if this was your daughter/wife/sister...what would your advice to her have been had a similar experience happened? Do you honestly think that it would be easy to tell her to subject herself to this type of media/international scrutiny? Why would anyone want to go through it? Besides, stopping Kavanaugh simply gets another conservative on the court...if she calculated the Dem's were also going to take the Senate and be able to block Trump's nomination process for 2 years, she knows a lot more than every political consultant in the entire world does. -

It worked for the Pirates, but they had superlative defenders all over the field from 2012-2015. Especially their infielders. -

We've also managed to make Yoan Moncada Mr. Irrelevant the last month in Hahn's push to avoid him setting the strikeout record, as well as passing some Adam Dunn K marks with the Sox as well. -

New positive spin on Giolito's late season slide...subconsciously attempting to help our draft status. So we have Rodon, Lopez and 3 wing and a prayers, which will undoubtedly be Covey, Giolito and a veteran placeholder. Giolito and Covey get until June/July, HOPEFULLY NO MORE, unless they're down in the 4's for ERA. -

Heitkamp and Manchin need to be gone too, if they vote for Kavanaugh. As it stands, she’s already losing her race. She would actually pick up more female voters taking a stand rather than siding with Trump, because the Trumpists are already lined up with her opponent. Getting rid of Manchin won’t be as easy. -

https://splinternews.com/kavanaugh-was-obsessed-with-right-wing-conspiracy-theor-1828855594 After that political speech about the Clintons, you can forget Dems not questioning every single decision he makes for the next 30-40 years. “As inventive as they were vindictive, these partisans concocted all sorts of wild theories to explain why Mr. Foster could not have killed himself. According to one of Mr. Kavanaugh’s sources, Mr. Foster had been working for the National Security Agency and was being blackmailed by the Israelis over a secret Swiss bank account. Carpet fibers had been found on Mr. Foster’s clothing, which was proof positive that he was murdered, his body wrapped in a carpet and then dumped. Another charged that “long blonde hairs” on Mr. Foster’s clothing pointed to a cover-up. [...] He investigated the Swiss bank account connection, down to examining Mr. Foster’s American Express bills for flights to Switzerland. He meticulously examined the White House carpets, old and new. (By now, Mr. Foster had been dead four years.) He sent investigators in search of follicle specimens from Foster’s bereft, blonde, teenage daughter. (“We have Foster’s hair,” one agent working for Mr. Kavanaugh reported in triumph.) Mr. Kavanaugh apparently took a special interest in Hillary Clinton’s bruited affair with Mr. Foster, a popular rumor in the fever swamps of the right. As he reported, his investigators “asked numerous people about it,” before he decided to ask Mrs. Clinton herself.” -
Most miserable fan bases in pro sports (ESPN) 7. Chicago White Sox, 19.88 As a White Sox fan, you're always overshadowed by your neighbor on the North Side of town. But for 11 years, you had the bragging rights, as the White Sox won the 2005 World Series while the Cubs were scuffling through a century-plus drought. But with the Cubs getting over the hump and winning in 2016, things got that much worse for the South Siders. But even excluding the Cubs factor, it is not altogether pleasant to be a White Sox fan. The White Sox haven't made the playoffs since 2010 and have made the postseason only nine times in 114 seasons. And since they are in the midst of a massive rebuild, it doesn't look as though the White Sox will hit double digits for a while. But hey, at least Sox fans can enjoy "Eight Men Out." Can't even get that right, it was 2008, lol... http://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/24367000/the-top-25-most-miserable-fan-bases-professional-sports

Will any SC decision (involving Kavanaugh and Thomas) about women’s rights the next 30-40 years be taken as anything besides an act of war on women/privacy? If Garland is blocked and now this clown goes through, it’s going to be a 50-60 seat gain in the House and a Senate takeover in November. Best case scenario for Trump is to survive to 2020 but then decide not to risk losing and withdraw from politics, essentially declaring Mission Accomplished. -
North Korea? Vietnam is officially communist. Venezuela in the last 10-15 years, at different points. Bolivia is fairly close, under Morales.
