I’m sure the argument will be that the remaining diehard Sox fans will have frustrations that fans are not attending games taken out on them by more KW diatribes about “disloyal” fans until almost none are left...leading to less and less spending. Almost wish they were bottom 2-3 last year in attendance so there would have been an excuse not to completely light $45 million on fire on stopgap veterans who will get us our next Ryan Cordell, Kodi Medeiros, etc.

At least you've taken on the Don Quixote-like task for defending Lucas Giolito for all posterity...did you go to Harvard-Westlake in LA? Family in the film industry? Just joshing with you. How about the entire PR and marketing department for not stopping him? By defending JR like a mafia don's henchman, you just lit your own loyal fanbase/customers on fire and asked them to enjoy the privilege of being betrayed yet again. Some organization! As Fathom said, maybe the single worst aspect of the last 10+ days and counting. I wish they could unearth an internal document proving they had no intention of signing either player, that it was just a subterfuge or ploy to hawk season tickets to gullible fans who actually believed in their front office again, despite all the setbacks starting last year with Burger in spring training and culminating in the Kopech TJS.

Sadly, you probably put more work into this post than those 3 Idiots have invested into the Sox pursuit of Harper since January 1st.

It will inevitably be rescued by a community mental health block grant...as a public service to avoid more long-term psychological impacts from being born a White Sox fan. (Except now it feels more like the Patty Hearst kidnapping as a fan.)
