8/5 Sox vs. Mariners 8:40PM CT
Three players in particular bring up the average bWAR of the group, with Rafael Palmeiro (1985), Craig Biggio (1987), and Chet Lemon (1972) all having a career WAR north of 50.

Not to mention there MIGHT be a team like the Yankees (too late there, moved on from Pereza) who needed that specific defense-first utility guy for the post season. Just put him on waivers and at least see if there's a claim.

Well...have to cheer for any bad outcomes for the Cubs. Pretty sure Vaughn already has almost 30 RBIs now with Milwaukee.

2025 MLB season...catch-all for non-Sox, non AL-Central
More like a freak play...how many times do you see that happen in such a key situation? Maybe once or twice a season?

“The 78” is alive and well for the Sox, Bears are 'advancing' Hammond development
And to be honest the downtown area always had a bad reputation...whether it was racism, homelessness, the Olympics bomber, that location kind of was jinxed compared to the "safer/comfortable" suburbs. It would be interesting to see the subtle and not so subtle shifts in the racial composition of Braves' fans across the two parks. Plus all the complaints about spoiled Braves' fans not showing up even in the post season when they were on that run of consecutive appearances. Which tied into complaints about Paragraph 1 and ease of access at night from the suburbs.

Would you be on board with a rebrand when Ishbia takes over?
Also feels like the X would have a downward arrow for Guaranteed Rate (three years of 100+ losses).

Yikes. Ishbia will want to get away from Bulls' ties. Can say it's 1959 reminiscent...but most will think Jordan still. Or make a Jumpman logo that works for baseball without being reminiscent of the 80s style batsman. Also can't just make it Jumpman with a baseball glove and ball falling into it. Too similar.

White Sox in 2026
A little like David Ortiz career trajectory...he won't make HoF obviously but huge numbers offensively into 30s.
