Adrian Houser traded to TB for former top prospect Curtis Mead
The fucking problem is we don't have any future outfielders...just Braden. Can barely figure out how to get two catchers into the lineup and now we have way way too many infielders. No list needed to figure out that. This stupid franchise deserves to be contracted.

How can they decide that without seeing the final two months play out? Blind faith alone? The last month of play has now convinced them he's finally back to 2023 peak Robert?

Sounds a lot like Luke Keaschall.

Padres get O'Hearn Laureano Will Wagner
Saw where one of the first grades for this was just a C+ for Baltimore. What gives? 6:37 70 Done clutchpoints.com San Diego solved a lot of the problems in their pitching staff when they brought in Miller and Sears. However, their offensive issues remained a big concern. However, O'Hearn's bat is a massive upgrade at first base. Luis Arraez was not doing terribly, but the gap between him and the All-Star is a massive one. He and Laureano strengthens what was already a good staring lineup. The one downside to the trade was just how many prospects the Padres had to part ways with. According to MLB Network's Jon Morosi, Bateman highlights a list of six top prospects that left San Diego to make the deal happen. Blockbuster trades at the MLB trade deadline can gut a team's farm system. The Padres proved that in the span of just two trades this season.

Maybe trade some of them for ACTUAL outfield help under age 27 lol.

Robert will nosedive from here on out and take the $2 million buyout.

White Sox are sure generous. Not giving Rodon a QO yet another example.

Except frozen JR spending going into that expected labor impasse offseason lol.

Great we have about five 3B now...it's also Bonemer's best position, arguably. Jeral Perez ends up there too. Maybe Antonacci...if he's not at second.

"relief prospect Ben Peoples and Triple-A pitcher Duncan Davitt, a source told MLB.com" rest of Houser deal Rays also traded Taj Bradley along with Littell from rotation these last two days... more cost savings lol Feel sorry for Rays' fans as well.

Love the caveat "former top prospect." Hope Robert goes into the tank for the rest of the season and they just give him the buyout...needs Moncada phantom injury. Then can pop up the last week or two of the season.

Luis Robert trade thread: La Pantera stays.
He's now the centerpiece of the rebuild again lol...Rebuild 2.0. Or is it 4.0 under JR??? Late 80s White Flag/1998-2000 2016-2019 2023-2028

Sunk cost fallacy. See Kimbrel, Craig.

Schiffren will be happy at least... Maybe knocking down all of the 2019-2021 core in the press and all those background noise rumors about work ethic and coachability came back to bite them??? At least Vaughn was able to escape.

Like the Dodgers...Conforto has been a massive disappointment. Getz overvalued him compared to Mullins and Philly decided they could live with Marsh and some minor tweaks.

Ishbia certainly isn't even dumb enough to write a $22 million check for a highly demotivated Robert. He can just DeWanna Bonner (WNBA) his way off the team and join any organization he wants next season on a one year FA contract Hays Austin Hays signed with Cincy. He doesn't need the money like Rodon did in 2021/22.

JR is never going to do that...doesn't matter if they are down to a $50-60 million payroll.

Luis Robert trade thread: La Pantera stays.
LoL. For the equivalent of AJ Pollock. If if if. He should just deliberately tank like Moncada last year so he can go anywhere he wants as a FA in the off season...

Robert might as well be signed to an extension lol. Let's do another Kimbrel to Pollock to Benintendi while Rodon walks out the door for nothing in return. Comic AL franchise. Feel a bit sorry for Robert he won't ever realize his potential while in his prime with a real big league team...

Well we already have... Ramos Meidroth Colson Jacob Gonzalez Vargas Sosa Baldwin Why not MORE utility infielders that we can convert to the outfield since we don't have any actual OF prospects other than Braden??? Plus Teel and Quero have to fit into a lineup much more frequently to be valuable.

Padres get O'Hearn Laureano Will Wagner
https://www.mlb.com/news/ryan-o-hearn-padres-orioles-trade Six more from Top 30 lol. Might be the very worst farm system in baseball now. Mike Elias taking another step towards turning things around for 2026. KW is even less of a riverboat gambling...AJ Preller must be addicted to being the center of attention every trade deadline and off season (except this most recent one). Gutted the system trading for high leverage relievers last year. Only three games behind the Dodgers.

LOL. Four Top 30 guys and a fifth in the 80s/90s. Sure sure surex Can't even get ONE top 100.

Padres acquiring Mason Miller & J.P. Sears from A's
Crochet....unless you really believe de Vrieze will be a star. Preller obviously didn't. Teel and Braden alone ate worth more than de Vries who hadn't proved he can even handle AA as of yet, let alone dominate advanced A ball. 747 ops at Fort Wayne hardly guarantees anything...feel he might end up closer to Abrams Lite than Tatis or Merrill. Miller with 4 1/2 years of control, too.
