  1. Not sure that Gore hasn't given up...but the Nats' pen very solid at back end recently.
  2. 3-1 Guardians. Pressure mounting for DET. Hunter Brown going tonight in SAC.
  3. Mets were almost magical down the stretch last year. Especially Iglesias. Doesn't happen every single season.
  4. Ending up in the 50s for victories seems like a huge disappointment. We'll see which team wants to play in the Cellar Dwellers Bowl. Kyle Schwarber with the quietest 56 homers ever...FA year lol.
  5. Going to the bullpen...it's all about economies of scale. Friedman in LA has made just as many mistakes, arguably. $111 million to that pen and Scott/Treinen terrible, Yates il'ed. Not to mention the Conforto deal. And the Mets do have that lockdown closer in the post season in Diaz, to go with a really strong Top 5/6 hitters. Ofc Mets' problem is starting pitching. Rookie McLean has been really solid and earned a spot in the post season rotation.
  6. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2025/09/blue-jays-activate-anthony-santander-designate-alek-manoah-for-assignment.html Take a last shot at Alek Manoah?
  7. He was always going to be CF relief for the Robert trade that never came to be.
  8. Last year felt more optimistic at very end with Burke pitching well and winning 2/3 against the "resting" Tigers. Sizemore more energetic as well.
  9. Already has plans to work out with Luis Robert, Jay and Yonder Alonso at Camp Cora in Miami.
  10. Those last three games in WSH are going to average 2 hrs 5 mins...
  11. Those last three games in WSH are going to average 2 hrs 5 mins...
  12. Sox facing a perfect storm tonight with BoSox leading Toronto again. Would be a first place tie in the East if scores hold up.
  13. A lot like Jacob Gonzalez...no standout tools.
  14. See Keppinger, Jeff. First Hahn signing. Meanwhile Romy Gonzalez would be the best Sox hitter, at least statistically.
  15. Ideal Sox corner player. Valera goes yard, 2-1 Guardians in the third. Reds in trouble vs. Skenes...will have to score off pen, 2-0 Pirates
  16. Cannon has to be in AAA to start next season. Julks still? The problem is that only leaves S.Smith Martin and Burke/Gomez for the rotation. That's not going to sell many season tickets...
  17. All depends on Hagen, Schultz and Grant Taylor taking the next steps...and all those pitchers like Thorpe coming off injury.
  18. Doesn't seem fair in teems of the pitching matchup lol. Burke is going to get the most innings? Detroit Cleveland also rain delayed.
  19. To be fair, Carson Williams was a Top 10-15 prospect in MiLB coming into the season. Didn't work out that way in terms of results.
  20. As long as they don't develop the hubris in terms of thinking this can consistently be repeated on a yearly basis to save money.
  21. He's fine for a AA/AAA team. Needs to refine his broadcasting skills on an everyday basis, but those join bs probably won'the pay nearly as well and he'd have to leave Chicago as well.
  22. Detroit was around 1.5 million that year. Ranked 25th, White Sox 23rd in their key rebuild year before 2020.

  24. 6 the Number of divisions (aka, every single one of them!) in which a first-place team has blown a lead of at least 5 1/2 games. According to Elias, this has never happened before in the six-division era, which dates back to 1994. The Yankees were as many as eight games up in the AL East before the Blue Jays caught them. The Mets were 5 1/2 games up in the NL East before the Phillies caught them. The Cubs were 6 1/2 games up in the NL Central before the Brewers caught them. The Astros were seven up in the AL West before the Mariners caught them. The Dodgers were nine up in the NL West before the Padres caught them (though the Dodgers have since recovered). And most astonishing of all, the Tigers were a season-high 15 1/2 up in the AL Central at one point, but they finally got caught by the Guardians on Tuesday night. mlb.com
  25. DBacks have almost 20 different players with a save this year but likely come up just short making post season.
