Statistically, this is not a good match-up for Ventura.
Jones, though, quieting the skeptics, for now...days like this one, you think he should be the closer.

Geez are we losing?? So much complaining you'd swear we are down by 4 or more.
Have you seriously watched the entire game?
You know it would be perfect to lose today, then lose 3/4 at home against the Tigers.
That's exactly the way this season has played out...leaving a 20 game sprint against mostly division foes.
After next Thursday, the Tigers have the easier schedule IMO.
If he pinch runs for Konerko, he better at least get Ramirez's bat into the game.
Need an AJ homer here.
If he's going to use Alexei and not bench him the entire game, why not have him hit for Olmedo last inning?
I don't understand Ventura sometimes.

There are Tiger fans hoping the Sox put them out of their misery.
That would be 1-8 in the last two weeks, not including the sweep of the White Sox.

How do you stop the catcher from blocking the plate on the play when De Aza was thrown out?
Simple
Run him over, like Torii Hunter over Jamie Burke.
He started the season with an injured knee...but Perez is HUGE. Don't know if DeAza wouldn't have ended up more injured than what he did.
Okay Goth version of Kelly Clarkson, let's hope your singing inspired the White Sox to score some runs here.
Is anyone else getting a bit tired of the singing of God, Bless America? Maybe it's just me.
White Sox bullpen rookies definitely doing the job.
Actually, all 3 pitchers on the mound today are rookies, forget how young most of our pitching staff is sometimes.
Bunting to get to Olmedo and Beckham the last few games.
Dumb dumb dumb.
But DeAza's usually a good hitter with RISP. Just, like everyone else on the team, not executing with RISP for 12+ games now.
You'd think it was the last home game of the season with the Sox 10-12 games back.
Guess there were a couple of times the crowd got behind Hector, but pretty darned quiet there.
Harrelson was going to look foolish saying "oh-yeah" prematurely....Hosmer would have had him at 2B, undoubtedly, but bobbled it.
Loves Beckham way too much.
14/79 with RISP.
Once again, great move having Olmedo hitting at this spot in the line-up.
White Sox have about 10 stupid things they've done today but Santiago and Omogrosso have done a great job holding down the Royals' offense so far.
Unless you have a tv with a screen the size of the scoreboard at USCF, ATT MUltiverse or Uverse or whatever the hell it is sucks worse than Olmedo does.
Stone intimating that Floyd COULD come back against the Tigers, interesting.
MIKE TROUT RULES.
MVP MVP MVP
1-0 Angels. I pulled a Caesar and said they'd definitely sweep if they won last night, but no guarantees to disappear from SoxTalk, lol.

How's he doing if u throw out the starts against Chicago?
He'll do so well the Royals will either sign him to a Gil Meche deal or he'll be their #1 starter going into 2013 and will proceed to go 0-6 with a 5.92 ERA to start the year.
It's inevitable with KC the last 2 decades.
