Guess they're still going with Sale/Chen instead of pitching both Axelrod and Santiago this weekend. The problem then is that means they plan to use Quintana against the Tigers. Are/were Morel, Beckham and Viciedo hurting/helping the Sox? Clearly, Morel was....and they addressed that with YOUK. Beckham and Viciedo are different situations, but somewhat similar salaries. It's a year by year situation with Beckham definitely. Dayan will get at least 2013 and probably 2014 to establish himself, unless he just completely bombs next year, which is pretty hard to imagine happening. Meanwhile, Konerko/Rios/Dunn could all be leaving after '13 and '14, so we need SOMEONE with a potent bat to emerge as that 3-4-5 hitter of the future.

Hopefully, next time, he gives Omogrosso more of a shot over Humber. He's looked a lot better than most anyone expected in his appearances at the major league level this season.

If LaRussa were managing this team, we'd be 16-20 games over .500 right now, without a doubt. With Ozzie, +/- 2-3 games of .500, without a doubt.
