  1. 7 more outs to go. Rios and Quintana co-MVP's. Omogrosso and Septimo in the 7th? In THIS game? Really?
  2. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Sep 10, 2012 -> 09:10 PM) PaleHosePerspective ‏@PaleHosePrspctv And that's the season in a nutshell. Living and dying with the home run and Rios and AJ being clutch. #WhiteSox SO TRUE And YOUK, for a key stretch over 2-3 weeks after we picked him up from Boston.
  3. Wonder how many times the White Sox have won games being 1/13 with RISP?
  4. C'mon DeAza, finish this game with a 3 run bomb to RF.
  5. Bad Tigers defense strikes again.
  6. QUOTE (Sox72 @ Sep 10, 2012 -> 09:02 PM) I'd love to know what AJ was yelling as he rounded first. Probably the same thing he was shouting about Blackburn..."Let's hit this blankety blank."
  7. Al ROUTE 66 Alburquerque into the contest. Now Sox fans can turn to worrying about the bullpen preserving the lead.
  8. BACK TO BACK JACKS White Sox HOMERBALL USCF offense is alive and well again.
  9. MILAGRO MILAGRO MILAGRO It's all good! Did we get that from Harrelson? Rios closing in on his career high's in homers and RBI's with 20+ games left in the season. Didn't come through yesterday in a key situation, but we'll take it this time.
  10. Oh, oh. Man on 3rd, less than 2 outs. Must mean a double play ball is due from Rios.
  11. CRAP. 0/10. Ball not carrying very well tonight in the outfield.
  12. This has the looks of another easy 1-2-3 inning. That means we'll lead off the bottom of the 6th with a runner on 2nd again, thanks to DeAza, if the trend continues.
  13. I guess the way to look at is that Detroit could have scored 4-5-6 runs. We should have 2-3. So, all things considered, we're still just a bloop and a blast away from taking the lead. That said, someone actually has to step up to the moment. So far, Quintana's really the only one to respond, and he's a gassed rookie pitching on fumes.
  14. QUOTE (JoeCoolMan24 @ Sep 10, 2012 -> 08:32 PM) Yeah, while everyone else was gushing over him and was giving him a #3 spot in our rotation next year. Don't deny that most people here thought he was legit. And he has been tonight, right? I don't know what more we could realistically expect from a kid who was pitching for the Tampa Yankees last year and sitting at home this time a year ago.
  15. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Sep 10, 2012 -> 08:31 PM) We are facing a team with the same problem. Yes, except when those 2 trends collide, we tend to come out on the losing side of things. Friday night, Sunday afternoon, the entire Orioles and Tigers' series previously...we didn't even hit that well with RISP against the Twins, to be honest. It was more the homers that carried the offense.
  16. Please White Sox, either make outs or hit solo homers or 2 run homers after a walk or single. No more batting with RISP tonight. We can't take it anymore. A team gives you a golden opportunity like that and you don't take advantage, you deserve to lose 8 consecutive games against them.
  17. What's the probability of not scoring a runner from 2nd, no outs, 3 innings consecutively? About 5%?
  18. This entire organization needs to go to a sports psychologist.
  19. Now, we bunt. With our 2nd slowest runner.
  20. 0/8 Horrible first strike call to Rios puts him of the defensive.
  21. SIGH. 0/7 2nd time, no runner advanced. EXECUTION, EXECUTION, EXECUTION
  22. 100%, we ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO SCORE THIS GIFT RUN. Emblematic of the entire season for Detroit, right there.
  23. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Sep 10, 2012 -> 08:16 PM) The only guy they seem to hit is Valverde. We really couldn't have asked for much better than 1 run through 4 innings from Quintana...especially at this stage where he's WAY over the number of innings he's ever pitched in a single season. It's the offense that is clearly suspect and "choking" right now.
